Just bought her yesterday, I always start W on her.

I start Vayne Q. It gives her mobility in lane to dart around, and it's damage boost is extremely mana-effective. Yet again, I do apparently build Vayne "wrong" *rolleyes*... I just BT instead of Bork, and Statikk Shiv early for gold income... Honestly works better. I've been playing Vayne as my main for about half a year now. (Still only have 1 penta and 5 quadras with Vayne...).

Starting W would give you the option to try and be a bully in lane and decent for trades since that passive proc damn hurts. I start Q myself, mostly just cause I'm used to it honestly.

 

I really don't see why you'd rush a BT over BotRK since its stacking more percent damage and gives you attack speed for more passive procs. Something she kinda likes.

 

And idk about that. I do exceptionally well in those roles as well as support (though, I technically know how to do all of them fairly decently albeit sometimes with weird picks), and I tend to do just damn fine in my solo q adventures. Mid moreso since I don't have to worry about another person in my lane especially since I seem to be having another bad case of stupid down there.

BT might actually be better for Vayne in lower tiers like Bronze and lower Silver since most players like to hyper carries. Due to it having great flat damage plus an over-shield and rolling that into a cheap high DPS item like Static Shiv just seems fitting for the tier. Just be weary when a big tank does roll along and you can't peel him off yourself.

Due to it having great flat damage plus an over-shield and rolling that into a cheap high DPS item like Static Shiv just seems fitting for the tier. Just be weary when a big tank does roll along and you can't peel him off yourself.

There's Last Whisper for tank shred. 35% Armor Penetration. With procstacking it's nearly excessive tank focus. I build BT mostly because it works better with my early Statikk Shiv, need the AD and flat stats. don't build the whole Bligewater Cutlass. Plus, the meta is overrated. BT has 20% LS, which really helps out Vayne's ability to survive a teamfight. Sure Bork has 12%, but truly that 8% can mean the difference between life and death, along with the shield. It even improves on Vayne's tower diving strength.

Also, the 300 or so gold that it takes more to build makes some difference. Though I mainly build it for the defensive advantage in the long run.

 

 

Btw, Essence Reaver is also good on Sivir. Sivir has an issue with mana if using her Ricochet to farm, and using her Boomerang Blade to poke. Manamune is really better on Ezreal, for mana and AD that both stack on themselves.

Had a really awesome run a few minutes ago. We had a Vladimir... Top... carry. Yeah. Ahri again, of course. (I do so much better as her than any other champ.)

 

The enemy Sion sucked ass. Their Shaco, whom was a jungler, failed to gank me several times and even scored me a first blood... because tower diving. And one last question: Why the HELL did Ashe think it was a good idea to solo mid?

 

I mean really, the only threatening champion was Garen. And he didn't do much to stop us from smashing their base.

I think that it's pretty fun, and it always makes me want to improve my gameplay. However, almost every game there's at least one toxic player, and it can be pretty annoying.  If you have a group of friends to play with then you can avoid this problem, but if you play solo like me then you'll probably run into a lot of toxicity.

So do Nami and Twitch... Nami provides movement and CC Twitch needs in case he can't escape. (Janna is probably the best support for Twitch though, have you seen the synergy of the bot lane of Samsung White?) Sivir is more iffy than the other two (best with Taric-like supports) Ashe isn't the greatest ADC to pair with Nami either (best with super hard CC supports). Vayne does best with a Braum IMO (most ridiculous procstack in the game from what I see, and Braum works well with Zeke's Herald, which can make it super easy particularly in lower ELOs to carry with Vayne.)

 

Karma and Sona are both really good, Karma is really almost too good at the moment IMO. Nothing like LeBlanc support (it was BEYOND insane playing with one), but still a support with good CC and carry potential. My brother thinks Sona is perhaps the best support in the game, I kind of disagree with that, but Sona can be one of the best (Braum always wins, particularly on a playing field with hard procs). Sona has pretty high damage potential for the standard support (not quite Brand support). Sona also has a lot of supporting techniques and potential.

Probably people who have a really great chance of pulling off an invade early on, I'd say

All in all, I always pick my initial skill only the first moment I need it, so it happened to me to spontaneously start E simply because situation required it at once.

 

1#Statikk Shiv

1# I'm still unsure what people see in Statikk Shiv on Vayne. SS is a cool item as it adds Mdamage to your initial AA (and maybe you'll pull it off two more times during a fight, maybe three), however I find it really "Meh" on Vayne when compared to PD. Sure, PD is 300g more, but it's a whoppin' 15% more crit chance and 10% more attack speed which Vayne adores.

The reason I dislike Statikk on Vayne is because of her short range. Statikk is wonderful on champs who actually can easily poke their enemies and proc the Shiv every now and then on the enemy without putting yourself at high risk. Considering how paper Vayne is and how short is her range, I simply find it too dangerous to build it on her and prefer focusing on hard all-in power rather than poking.

The only time I build Statikk on short range carries is when my team lacks the magic damage in their composition.

 

2# BotRK has slow with burst life steal That's the reason people adore it so much. Adding this slow to Vayne's kit gives her high potential of easily kiting their enemies without them sticking to your face at all times (Jax jumps on you trying to stun you? Slow+Tumble and you're beyond the reach of that stun without having to rely on your E). Plant the active in enemy's face, tumble away and you WILL land those two additional (at least) shots on them. Plus, I find the active dmg an equivalent of additional AD provided by BT.

It's fun. It's competition, in its purest form. Naturally, since it's an online game, it should be taken with a grain of salt. It's not flawless and you WILL meet people who believe that their lives depend on the outcome of THAT ONE MATCH you're playing right now, and after the match is done, their lives will depend on ANOTHER ONE MATCH. And thus, the circle closes. It's important to remember to ignore these guys and just focus on having fun yourself. God bless the "Mute" button.

 

Anyway, if you want to pick it up, I guess you should start with intermediate bots (that'll be a bit closer to what you'll get in PVP) to get acquainted with builds and items, then move into PVP asap to learn some proper in-game behavior and basic tactics. You will meet people of your own level, but you'll also meet tons of "Smurfs" I guess (people who have multiple accounts). I wouldn't bother with Smurfs myself. You'll learn how to play a bit safer from encounters with them, and with time you'll be able to face these guys easily. If I was to give some advice to start... I'd say a few things.

 

1- Don't be greedy (chasing after a low HP enemy etc) if you don't know if it's safe to do it/whether you can finish him off (ex. your abilities are on cooldowns and you're chasing a guy under a turret).

2- Minions = gold = better items. Vast majority of Bronze/Silver players believe that it's most important to focus on killing your enemy, because hey! It's 300gold/kill in theory! Killing 15 minions (which come in waves of 6 and sometimes 7) grants you the equivalent of one kill. So you should spare MORE attention to CSing (creep slaying) rather than your enemies, waiting for them to make a mistake...

3- About mistakes... If you see your enemy spam half of their kit (abilities) on CSing and still remain in your immediate reach... punish them as soon as they do it (if you believe nobody is close to help them out and turn the tide of your small skirmish). Obviously, because they've just used their abilities, they won't be able to retaliate.

4- Don't waste time on cursing, being toxic, caring about sh**. It just distracts you, makes you play worse and takes away all the fun from game. You died? Too bad. Next time you'll do better because you've just learned the damage output of the enemy and know better when they can kill you. Let's try one more time! That's, coincidentally, the very basic rule of climbing the ranked ladder. Play more to learn more and become better. There's no other philosophy here

My team was losing super hard and our Rek'Sai quit at around 25 minutes, but I still won us the teamfights and took down towers. ^^
