So there is a lot about this game that I like, the world and characters in particular. However, how hard exactly is it to get into the game itself? Learning the mechanics and such?

Hard to say. I've been playing for a few years now and I can't remember what it was like. I imagine that it's harder to into now than then ,simply because the base skill level has gone up. If you're a tenacious person, then you shouldn't have any trouble starting out. And if you're not immediately addicted and play around 2-3 games a day, then you also shouldn't get burned out so fast. Characters to play as will, depending on the cost, only to be able to be bought once every week or so.

Some tips: Play casually, make some friends, don't burn yourself out.

I see a flamer like everygame in euw, it is so painful to see those people who flame your team for having a bad game or flame your jungler because the flamer is like 0/2 or 0/3. After all I can't blame people who flame because I know that they can't do another thing to get their madness outside. I just try to make the team having good position beetween each other before every game start.

I won't be happy when kindred comes because even if I used 7800pi for it like every new champs, I still have 36000 useless pi who can't even get use for gift...

You wrecked as Ekko? I wrecked Ekko as Yasuo ;)

Yasuo is a really cheap champ to main honestly IMO. Skillshot champions can't avoid their demise. Like my Jayce. It was a sad day for Jayce, Ezreal, and most particularly Lux everywhere when he got released.

Then there's that ult... O.o

Vayne, Talon, and Jayce for best mains.

Before he was nerfed I wrecked as him.

Then I'll make the jokes:

You wrecked as Ekko? I wrecked Ekko as Yasuo ;)

Before he was nerfed everyone wrecked with Ekko xD That's why he got nerfed. Unless you were totally ignorant about your gameplay.

And Yasuo, although he has counters like everyone, still seems to be the "roll your face on the keyboard" champ when it comes to teamfight xD

I do consider him cheap for a reason. I guess that shield of his is actually the only thing people are sore about. And I know I am. Negating any projectile ult without any drawback? Yep. Is still quite OP imo. Nami ults your team in narrow corridor when you're escaping? Wall, np. xxx CD on ult wasted vs... I don't remember? Is it 14 on wall? I don't play Yasuo. But even Bard, using his ult to save the team from potential ults has a drawback of immobility and a certain cast time

Considering it's a normal skill of his, not ult, I'd really like it to become like "Blocks any damage coming from ranged attacks/skills but doesn't stop CC.", or maybe "Reduces the damage of projectiles that pass through by xx%", and in order to prevent the nerf, add the "For each projectile blocked/dmg reduced this way, something happens" effect.

Because his mobility is fine with me. Enemy winions, if he wants to use them to get close to you and poke/trade, he pushes the lane. So yeah.

It's hard. For a new player? I just today had a random person be actually really nice, so we've started chatting after game. It took me like 15 minutes to advice him some good, passive AP mid champions, explaining what to take heed of and some of the basic mechanics, like observing the cooldowns, enemy behavior when he dodges your skillshots etc etc + map awarness.

The fact there's a lot of complicated champs with varying mechanics now only means that you not only need to learn the mechanics of a single champion, but you also need to figure out the COMBINED mechanics of ceratain champs. (Kalista+Ali/Thresh, Yasuo+Any knockup champion, or even some older ones like Malphite+Orianna)

You will die trying before you learn what to do when. A lot. But it's normal in the process I guess. Just don't let the flamers get to you.

I actually finally bought Ahri and started training her. Her ult really, but really teaches you patience. It took me like one use to learn that after you use your 3rd spirit rush, you suddenly become even less mobile than Lux is. The nine-tailed foxie does. Not. LIKE...

(Tho that satisfaction of dodging Ashe arrows and other weird ults... priceless)

Casual, I can do. On the technical side, does it run on Mac?

Just a PSA if you play Zed, Talon, Akali, any assassin for that matter

No matter how flashy your combo looks, it was not difficult at all to pull off

Assassin is not a difficult role to play

Get off your high horse and quit acting toxic when someone gives you a reality check

Sincerely, a disgruntled summoner who's sick of seeing arrogant assassin mains everywhere.

Talon is a secondary of mine, and I actually disagree with this. Not completely, but nevertheless I do. I also would count other champions into this, such as Pantheon (His combo can't even kill ONE champion! What the heck Riot, please buff Fat Spartan.)

Combo-based assassins usually can run only when they use them CORRECTLY. Talon, for example, can kill usually ONLY while using his (I will admit fairly dispensable) combos, the right way. (That way would be starting with an Ult, Cutthroat, Noxian Diplomacy, Rake) or without ult (Rake, Cutthroat, Noxian Diplomacy, Rake). Plus, most assassins have points in the game that are extremely weak (exceptions: Yasuo, Yi, Fiora). Talon is extremely weak before he gets his first parts of core (for me, before I get my Ravenous Hydra because I finish that first and it's a fairly OP item on Talon, and makes him a master of waveclear. Zed? After level 9, if you didn't feed him to that point. Evenif you did, certain champions with ridiculous late game potential (Jayce, Talon, a Kha'Zix even, if they are good and decently fed) can cancel his carry.

Really, the easiest champions to play well are of all kinds, and most of them are their own kind of bonkers. Ashe (GG, it's that thing), NASUS (Really Riot OMW), Freaking Blitzcrank (annoying piece of trash)...

PS- Most all champions can get OP in the right situation. That's how the game's "balanced." (It requires a few fixes, such as the above examples Ashe, Nasus, Blitzcrank).

I can"t agree on one thing, ashe is really difficult to play like all adc the kitting and positionning is really important if you don't want to be deleted. Champs like ashe are even more difficult because she got no escape. when you do an error you lose immediately your lane and then the game

No she isn't. Since her rework (buff, really) she became an extremely powerful lane bully that could kite with zero effort. She has an escape

ADC by no means is a difficult role. All you need to succeed as an ADC is good CS, good positioning, and a good support. Kiting isn't much more than a convenient skill to have for when you fuck up your positioning.

You can't kite an ola, a lee sin or a nocturne

That's because those are all champs that are inherently difficult or otherwise impossible to kite, due to gap closers and CC resistance. Ashe has some of the strongest kite, especially after her rework.
