No one here would hate you for something that happened that long ago. I'm actually impressed how brave you were to post this, that takes courage :)

Thanks ... It just brings up bad memories ...

I'm sure it does...thankfully, they're just memories, they don't make you who you are now :)

Now for my confession.....I was sexually abused by a family member when I was seven. It's been handled and I've long since forgiven them. Only thought it was right to get it off my chest for good...

While I may never possess nor quite understand the capacity for forgiveness that something like that requires, I do admire it.

That's very kind of you, thanks

Besides, they're still family. I haven't seen them in forever but I kind of...pity them a bit and feel sorry for them. It's complicated XD

I clop. Sometimes, I worry that I'm doing it too often.

I have ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, and anger management issues (I put my head through a wall out of anger once.)

I once got into a major scratch with my neighbors. Punches were thrown and guns were drawn (A warning shot was even issued) Nobody got hurt, but my neighbor got arrested and charged with criminal threatening.

Also I secretly despise my cat.

How does your cat feel about you? xD

I not-so-secretly despise canines in general.  In the throes of some dark imaginings, I might have fantasized about burying or cooking up my neighbor's obnoxious, yappy dogs.  I'd like to emphasize that I never actually did either of those things!

I think he dislikes me too, all he does is bite me. But he always sleeps in my bed. I think he likes me secretly, now that I think about it.

And I like the first movie more than the second even though I think the second is objectively better.

I think exactly the same :squee:

I just had this more feel when I watched the first one, it was so new and different. After watching the first one, I was not as surprised when I watched the second one due to me already having been so surprised by the first one (the reason why I liked Warcraft: Reign of Chaos better than the Frozen Throne)  :fluttershy:

I'm seriously in love with my plushie :3

I've been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for almost 2 years now :/

I don't have many friends at the moment :(

I feel indecisive on what to do all the time... I'm bored like all the time have thousands of things I could do and end up doing nothing at all :(

I once knocked the wind out of myself doing a front handspring (I think that's what it was?) in tumbling class. Yeah... that hurt. Does that even count as a confession? Oh, here's one: I know there are things I could confess here, but I don't feel comfortable doing that so I won't.

The last time I changed the oil in my dad's car (a 1998 Buick LeSabre), I used a...

Motorcraft oil filter!

59fbe8dbeb.jpg

It's true, I know...  What a shameful thing, huh?  To put a (Ford) Motorcraft oil filter on a Buick, rather than a (GM) ACDelco oil filter...

Hahaha

Shhh... don't tell dad  ;)  hehe, I'm kidding.  He doesn't care.  He's just glad I'm such an enthusiastic oil changer so he doesn't have to do it himself.

I find it fun, and fulfilling, to change oil...  ^_^

I once sorta had a crush on this girl in 4th grade. Then I was mocked throughout school. I was done with IRL romance ever since. :(

My eating habits have really bucked up in the last few months. I hardly wanna eat as much anymore. ~_~

LOL!  I'm so glad that a fellow gearhead saw that post of mine.  :P

Oh gosh... It's too funny  :muffins:

Yah, but I'll tell you (something you might possibly know already [?]) the reason why I felt no regrets in doing that...

I know what parent companies make what name brand oil filters (same goes for which parent oil company makes the name brands and off-brands).  And, this is no dis' on ACDelco, but... the new E-Core oil filters they make now, from Champ Labs... Are terrible.  The media used inside E-Core ACDelco filters is weak, and prone to collapsing.  Plus, the new flat design on the face-plate metal is bad news for some certain older cars, depending on the style of oil mount used in the older GM vehicles.

On the other hand, Motorcraft oil filters are made by Purolator.  And, if I may say so myself, (as sort of a self-learned expert on oil and filters), Purolator oil filters are well-built.  The Purolator made Motorcraft filters only differ sometimes (from the Puro Classic filters) in the placement of the bypass valve in the filter.  Ford Spec for most filters uses a dome-end bypass, rather than a thread-end bypass, and also uses a silicon anti-drain-back-valve (ADBV) [instead of a nitrile one like the Puro Classic uses]... So, for example: The Motorcraft FL820S (used on most Ford Triton 4.6L and 5.4L V8 applications, such as my 2001 F-150) is basically the same filter as the Purolator L24651... except that the Motorcraft uses silicon ADBV instead of nitrile.

Wix makes Napa filters.  If I remember correctly, Royal Purple and K&N make their own filters, and  Amsoil sometimes uses Donaldson and/or Fleetguard made filters, but sometimes makes its own.

And well... heh... Honeywell makes Fram... *gag* ... I will never put the Orange Can Of Death (OCOD) on any of my vehicles.  The cheap orange Fram filters are horrible.  The extended-drain Fram filters are made better than the OCOD, but I still can't bring myself to ever use a Fram.   :eww:

So, as you can see, when it comes to oil filters, I know my stuff.   :umad:

If you wanted my opinion on which filters are the best... I'd just say probably Purolator (and thus Motorcraft), Wix (and thus Napa), K&N and Royal Purple.  It all depends on what kind of oil you're using, for me.  I'd spend the extra cash on a filter with synthetic filter media if I was to use synthetic oil.  If I was going to use conventional oil, a Motorcraft filter is my choice.

See, where I work, we use a company called Mighty for all of our various filters. Mighty is made by Champion Labs. They also make filters for Bosch, Mobil 1, STP, K&N, Valvoline, and as you said, some AC Delco, but not all.

I used to have this crush on a cute chick at school, literally this year, until I found out that she was 2 years older than me.

She even looked like someone my age, too! Oh well. There are plenty more fish in the sea, in which I'm deciding which fish would be more worth it than the other...

gonna take you out

Where I live, most Bosch filters are made by Purolator - though I did know that Mobil 1 and K&N filters were basically twins.  STP and Valvoline filters are like, the cheap, low-end filters.  Now, they are probably alright, as long as they aren't E-Core.  I mean, I know for sure that the old ACDelco (Champ Labs) filters were good!  But the new E-Core filters, oh dear... Nope.

PF52_12_17_09_(6)_1.jpg

See, the difference is obvious.  Those new flat E-Core face-plates are ridiculous...

3filters.jpg

The old filters used metal enclosed media, but the new E-Core types don't have metal end-caps... (sounds like the Fram OCOD, hehe)...

---

Anywho, I should probably say another confession so this stays on topic.

I drive with my trailer hitch and ball mounted on my truck, even when I'm not towing... 'Cause well, cops here don't really care about that, since its a country town.

I'm not really too picky with filters. As long as it fits on my Corolla and doesn't leak, fine by me. I'll probably be getting rid of it soon anyway.

Another confession: I beat the heck out of my car more than I actually should.
