Queen Chrysalis Twist

I liked the EQG movie a lot more then i thought i was going to, I also enjoyed sunset shimmer even though she barely got any real screen time, I just feel like it was to played out and obvious and needed a TWIST.

So I really wish that the twist ending was that queen chrysalis was the villian the whole time and that she had gone through an alternate portal with her subjects and using her powers corrupted sunset shimmer.

Then the plot would be that she convinced sunset shimmer to go through the portal to get the crown, with the real motive being to trick twilight into coming into this world alone. Then after sunset shimmer was defeated we could have 1 of two things. Her beging for forgiveness to queen chrysalis setting up a second movie or comic tie-in, or they could have extended the idea a little longer and had another epic battle between queen chysalis and twilight.

Hmm.. I never thought of that. That does sound like a great plot! I wish they used it though.. Hasbro is beginning to run out of ideas. D:

Actually, that would be amazing! Even though Sunset Shimmer makes the movie what it is, a return of Queen Chrysalis would be awesome! I wish they'd done that!

As cool as it would be to have the movie end on a cliffhanger like that to be concluded in a comic series, I think most people who read the comics are adults and older teens. Letting the movie end on such a dark note might not go over well with the younger (primary) audience and their parents. Setting up a sequel doesn't sound like such a bad idea if it was made obvious that there would be one.

 

And for some reason that plot idea sounds like an anime or two I've watched before. Still an interesting idea though.

I'm actually very interested now in seeing how Chrysalis would look like in the human world... The idea of having an old villain to appear in the movie is also not bad at all~ But, well, I can't say that I would like to see a cliffhanger like that chaining up into a movie sequel or a comic. I think EqG was great the way it was.

That's actually not a bad idea since I would want to see Chrysalis possibly in a sequel if they make a sequel. I just hope to see no cliffhangers, since it would just keep me wondering for a while.

Interesting choice for a plot if a sequel is involved.

That would be unique to include her in a way that can be subtle.

I just hope no cliffhangers are involved, something like that sounds like it would be more dramatic to put into one set.

I hope Chrysalis comes back in Season 4, maybe in a Season finale.

If she does, it would be interesting to see Discord battle her! Discord is good now, so I can imagine him doing that.

That's actually not a bad idea, but due to the nature and openness of that ending; it might be a bit too dark for children, and might not be very successful. But like Artemis said, I guess it might work if it was made obvious there was a sequel. It's a cool idea, and a twist would have been really nice for this movie, but I don't think it would happen.

I do think it would have been sweet if Swiss Cheese sent Strawberry Lemonade through the portal. And we could have had an epic battle where Twilight goes all super Saiyan on Cacoon-thing, it's such a shame that the writers skipped this opportunity.

That actually sounds like it could work...but imagine all the butthurt bronies who had doubts about the first movie and how they would react to a sequel.

Anywho, yeah that would be interesting!
We need more Chrysalis! She must come back! I don't know about King Sombraro  though....I felt he needed more development out of all the villains.

I think its a pretty cool idea, however as far as the plot goes right now it seemed like sunset shimmer was sorry for what she did, but didn't seem like she was fearing anything about something like chrysalis being behind it, and she really didn't seem like she'd even want to work with her.

 

I guess its possible she could've faked it but idk.

 

Still a cool plot, it could be cool in a squeal i agree possibly. As long as it was well made.

Really great idea for a plot! Hasbro should start taking suggestions from the community because there always seem to be great ideas!
