gaming Hopes for sims 4?

Well I'm a huuuge Sims fan, but I've seen the trailer and I still think I prefer 3,

The new create-a-sim looks pretty awesome, and it gives you a wider range of choices for how you want your sim to look.

But I don't think the skin, hair or eyes looks as realistic as it did in 3.

So I'm going to get the rest of the expansion packs and stick with Sims 3.  :)

This is what I think.

Finally! Emotions in the Sims! Do you know how tired I was getting of the exact same thing?!? It's all like, make a sim. Make your sim fall in love in the same day and get married in the same day.

Sure, I did variations, but even that got boring after a while. I even did challenges, but they were all too dang similar!

Anyways, I love the new sliders and build mode. You can finally customize height as well, and practically everything else.

I love EVERYTHING. Well, almost everything.

Definitely buying Sims 4 when it comes out.

Knee jerk hate reaction?

One or two new features, another $500 down to get the full game (the expansions being the same as the last two games) and slightly touched up graphics? Count me out. I'll stick with the last one...oh wait...it keeps crashing and glitching so I deleted it.

For a more fair look, they took a mechanic and made it more prominent/better, cool, but naturally this can't be the only thing. Hopefully other videos will show some more new features.

Hello!

This looks quite promising! The Customisation looks amazing! Much better than the one Sims 3 has. The gameplay, looks awesome aswell, though, it doesn't look like the jump from the Sims 3 to the Sims 4 is bigger than the leap from Sims 2 to Sims 3. Hopefully there will be more things coming out soon :).

Ahaha rocket.

I reeaally like the house building part. It makes everything much more easier. My guy and I are big Sims fans, so we'll definitely get it. :)  Though, I would love it if we could visit other people's Sims and all. ;_;

As long as I can understand what they are saying, I don't mind. As for the customization, I like the new system alot better and find the emotions to be interesting.

Umm you can't. It's still the same sims language which sounds like gobbledygook.

It looks more intuitive and i'm very glad they got meshes built into basic gameplay (and the chubbies look a little more real). Different body types and customizing your sims appearances has always been very important. Of course their skins and hair could likely use better fan creations as they've always been a step behind what fans make.

I dunno i used to play Sims 2 and Sims 3 didn't look like a big leap forward and this too seems just a small jump up. The sad thing is that they add so much official pay add-on packs and took all the adaptability that was IN Sims 2 from the fans (ie fannon creations). i guess I miss that so many of these adaptions were already available in Sims 2 through add-ons. But if people can get some of that built in with sims 4 and not have to have a phd in simology of tons of add-ons i guess that's likely a good improvement.

I am unimpressed by pretty much everything. About the only thing I'm not unimpressed with is the environmental graphics and plant graphics. It's nice to see trees and plants back to being 3D models (they were not 3D in The Sims 3, and many of them looked ugly).

This game doesn't really have anything to set itself apart from the previous titles. No height sliders, no gradual aging, and really nothing that they could have surprised us with. Emotions are okay, but they're crazy if they think that will work as the feature that sets The Sims 4 apart as a sequel.

And the Sims themselves? They look like 3D versions of The Sims Social Sims. I suppose that's okay, but the hair... Why, just why did they do that? There's so little detail to it, it looks like plastic... it looks like The Sims 1. There's no excuse for that in a modern The Sims game.

...But what irritates me the most out of everything is how there is no weather or seasons in any way, shape, or form in the base game. They effectively killed the game for me with just that. Because I know exactly what they're going to do. They're going to release it sometime around 2017, and we'll all be satisfied. But then The Sims 5 will come out around a year afterward, and it won't have Seasons, and we'll have to wait another three to four years for it, and the pattern will repeat itself.

Why does it bother me so much? Because Seasons/Weather is not the type of feature that should be Expansion Pack material. I understood with The Sims 2, because that's when it was introduced. But beyond that, they have no excuse. Seasons and weather are as natural as aging and the sun rising/setting. They're robbing us by holding them back. And it doesn't help one bit that the fandom is all fooled into thinking it belongs as an EP feature. Before you know it EA will take it a step further and start making features like aging add-on features, just because the fandom can not differentiate between what should be in the base game and what should not be. I have to wonder if making aging an EP feature (assuming it's possible) would even wake them up, or if they'd be fooled once again.

The main Sims game I still play is the first version with all the expansion packs. RecentlyI have been experimenting with making magic a lot.

I do have a little interest in this Sims, but I don't think i'll buy it right away.

Sure, more emotions are great and it would be nice to see more stylized walks in the game(admit it, that would be Hilarious if all the townies ended up prancing about) but I would like to see more in-game footage covering different scenarios within the game besides some love-triangle spat.  The CAS system for this game does seem interesting but it would be great if they showed what we could do with hair and their clothing.

As long as I can let my sim work from home on flexible hours, I'll be happy :P

I do quite like the look of being able to move entire rooms with the furniture at the same time, so many wasted hours redesigning the entire house just to swap a few rooms around :/

I've always considered each sim to be an improvement upon the last (with the exception of that castaway island one, that sucked) so I have high hopes for Sims 4 :)
