None of them seem to work with my tablet sadly...thank you.

I've been using photoshop elements 8 to do my art with a bamboo drawing tablet...and it's been crappy so far to say the least. I've lost alot of time from various issues, such as: Completely losing control of my keyboard until I reboot File corruption due to having multiple layers (which I kinda need) Not being allowed to save, and not being given a reason as to why. I'm quickly growing sick of this. I'm glad I didn't drop $400 for normal photoshop, or even $100 for the this one...it happened to be bundled with my tablet. For that much money, I should have no issues. I need to be able to create large canvases (since I want to print them to a normal painting size) have access to layers, and be compatible with my drawing tablet. It'd be nice if it had similarities to photoshop so I can pick it up quickly.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I found the fandom by accident while browsing YTPs, a one CS188 made a poop involving ponies, watched a few more poops, discovered fandom, resisted for a year, became a brony sometime in December. After Christmas if I remember correctly. Now, I have been on here before, but I'm starting fresh, I would have made a new account, but I can't reuse the same e-mail, but who cares? New start! (mods, delete this thread if this is a problem) Now, I can do two things: Give a long, boring, self centered sob story about why I left and what happened irl, or give the short, happy version, and encourage meaningful discussion! Nutshell, I was sad because I forgot my purpose in life, and pinkie pie made me remember when I unintentionally started identifying with her! This was weird because a first I hated pinkie pie, and until three weeks ago, I didn't take her seriously at all, she's just a gag character I thought....but then I kept relating on one thing after another, until I remembered what I wanted to do with my life: Make people happy. Easier said then done, but I have options! I'm going to start by getting some art and stuff flowing into this community, and as my skills grow, maybe I can apply them in the real world. What has MLP taught you about yourself? Directly, or indirectly?

You know what's cool though? If you get good enough, you can start to buy in game time with game money. You try the free trial, hate it? No harm done. Love it and it consumes your time? You use that time to pay for your membership.

I found the screaming rather obnoxious, but I enjoyed the animation. I love flipnotes XD I'm going to have to get it on my 3DS soon

I'm looking for a minecraft server (this isn't the topic, don't help me look, this is just the story) and as I scroll through on pretty much every application or somewhere along the lines I need to fill this in: "Skype(required):" I'm getting sick of this, so I must ask, why is it such a big deal? I hate talking to people irl that I don't know, whether it's voice or video, so it turns me off since there is no alternative and I'm forced to do something I hate. The last time I used a voice chat service it was always "hey are you on vent yet? Why aren't you on vent yet? You need to get on vent. You have vent right? Are you on vent yet?" and when it was on it felt awkward and....ugh...I actually completely abandoned that game because it was bothering me so much, it got to the point I dreaded to log in.

Still play, but I get distracted and never make anything good on solo play, and I've spent a year looking for the right server.... ....is a decent vanilla server so much to ask for?

Okay, I want to experiment with music editing for a personal project. I just tried garageband on a school computer, and frankly, it sucks. I had to go through a bunch of menus just to trim audio, had to find a guide just to do that actually, and when it was time to export the right button was hidden, and I'm only allowed two formats. So clearly I'm not going to be using that on my home computer....any other good options? I heard audacity was good, but music is a foreign concept to me, so how should I know?

Does anyone have the new game yet? Is the new emotion system more in depth then it was in the demo? I mean seriously...the emotions were way to easy to pick up. If you couldn't get it right you must be an alien or have no common sense.

They don't need that much information god...and I find it funny they'd rather tap from their own allies and people rather then enemies or people that could be a serious risk. Thanks for the continued opinions I was content but I'll take whatever is thrown at me to make my product the best it can be (once I improve my art a bit more and get some free time....coughcoughschoolcough) I see color schemes I thought were cool, but they clashed or were overused. I could say "Screw it" for the later, but for the former it's because I don't understand how colours flow together yet...this didn't make me realize it, but I know it's a weakness: I have poor taste in colors. I actually looked up good colour palettes and mixed and matched. Why does this matter to me? I want to get more involved in the community soon, and want a pony form to represent me when I need it. I figure this is what's going out to world to be seen by people when they see me, so I may as well be enjoyable to look at no? At the same time I don't feel like I'm just coping to "fit in". If it didn't work out I would have kept the things I saw important (blue/green base, unique(ish) color scheme) and redid the idea. This is actually my ponysona MK2, but I decided the orginal sucked and scrapped it, took important bits, did what you see above. Being unique and who you are is important to me...I'm not sure if this has been for better or for worse, but nonetheless I'm trying to keep this concept true even within my pony self...to me this is the equivalent of taking a shower and tieing my hair back so I look better for a job interview. It doesn't change anything really, but it comes in a neater package. (I was never one to care much about the details of my appearance anyways XD) ...sorry for the word wall, just felt like explaining my backstory for this a bit XD I'm going to experiment with different backgrounds before I finish this so I can get the right tone, but I got the colors themselves right which makes me happy. I can keep asking you guys stuff and keep you updated if you want but you've done a great job at answering my question and giving a wide variety of opinions to bounce off of.

Has anyone used super evolutions on a fair (read: not AI) oponent? If so, does it unbalance the game or is it just a small bump in the road?

I'm glad they finally confirmed it for PC....out of curiosity how's the online player base been? Do you actually work together or does it end up turning into an endless deathmatch on every server? (I hate forced PVP)

That's a bit of a relief I guess...what else? Does anyone know yet? Even if it's only one if it can easily steamroll the entire team...I'm hearing of things like stat boosts, type changes (charzard becomes resistant to water) abillity swaps (venasaur becomes resistant to both fire and ice), are there any drawback to these that we know of?

I hope those mega evoltions are balanced...I'm not wasting my money on a game where all you do is find the magical stone and instantly win every battle...as long as there's a downfall to using these stones (besides wasting it's item slot) I'm Happy.

Calm storm...something along those lines, just taking that "calm before the storm", and applying it to her, since she's normally quiet/calm, but this only hides the coming storm of annoying and rude actions that will result if you provoke her.

Spike as a dog and rarity a human Spike as a knight (Perhaps with a lance and a banner) and rarity as his (fabulous) steed. Rarity's costume could be designed to go well with spike's (With banner and other decorations on spike's armor, they could be matching) but make her look beautiful on her own, the only thing diminishing the outfit would need to be the saddle. Spike would get a kick out of it I bet, being rarity's loyal knight (you saw that episode =P) and Rarity would have a blast designing the outfits and designs on spike's gear.

Thanks alot guys, especially with that guide! I'll have alot to work on it seems...I haven't done any shading or things like that...one step at a time I suppose. One final question and I'm good to go, is there a free alternative or scaled down version of illustrator? $400 is unreasonable in my book.

I just got myself a multitouch bamboo drawing tablet with photoshop elements. I'm happy with it so far, I'll be able to transfer what little skill I have with real art to the digital world, and I'm with photoshop, and while dummed down, I know how to use it. First question I guess would be do you have any general advice for drawing using this? Or doing ponys in general? Second question, I use alot of references, I don't have a good memory and can't remember the fine details of things if I draw. I figured this would be a snap on a computer, I had multiple tabs open while operating full photoshop all the time! But now....I get a weird grey background and can't see my desktop. I'm not committing to this change or w.e, sorry. It's inefficient to have to keep clicking between tabs, horrible design choice, I want this removed so I can see my other tabs. If for some reason this can't be done, is there an alternative program I can use with the drawing tablet where I can actually see the desktop?

Just came home with my new (And first) drawing tablet =D About to draw him, and I readjusted the colours. I have two more questions now, are the new colours more appealing to the eye, and do you have any advice for drawing these things? (This isn't going to be a copy of this, so I need to make up alot of things on the fly, like cutie mark and manestyle) Making this a new thread
