Bionicles

Anyone remember that? That was the shit (sorry but I couldn't really think of another way to say it) back then when I was in 3rd-6th.

Still got Tahu from like 2002 or something, and a crap ton of others old ones and newer ones too.

I still got all the comics from the lego club magazines lol

Was anyone else sad when they ended it and brought in the crap called hero factory?

I used to play with bionicles all the time. From like 2004 to 2006. I had a lot, they were fun. I think I still have them all. I was able to collect I think all 10 of a certain generation.

I miss Legos.

When I was a kid, my brother was all about those things. I wasn't into them too much, though. I thought they were too much like some other brand of robot toys. Can't remember the name, though.

Oh god yeah, my friends and I used to play with those things, I thought they were awesome.. Especially the black one from the first generation.

However, I think I stopped collecting them after the Rahkshi (or whatever it was) generation.
Same thing happened with Pokemon, it got to a certain generation and then I just couldn't keep track and gave up on them.

I must say, if anything defined my childhood, it would be Bionicles.

Hell, my mom even read from the little story books they made based on them to me at bed time

I would love to rage about how Hero Factory is a completely horrible idea, since it is literally Bionicle with a different name.

Seriously! You can build a Bionicle with Hero Factory parts in it!

Oh, I also own each and every DVD movie they made involving Bionicle.

Oh! and the best part: I remember having a dream where I was Ice skating with Gali, the first generation Bionicle. Also, the other Bionicles were also watching us. I swear, I felt strangely in love with her (It?).

But, alas, everything that man makes eventually becomes horrible.

The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist.

Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses

Oh jeez, those things. I remember I used to be really into those. Like, I got every single one they made for a while, watched most of the movies they made about them, even got one of the video games they made about them. I also remember my interest started to fade when they kept introducing new ones; I just wasn't really able to keep up.

Come to think of it, I probably still have 'em. I wonder if the classic ones would be worth anything now...

Indeed.

You are correct in saying that they were the shit, because they were. Agreed that Hero Factory crap is dumb. I still have all original six toa somewhere around my house. Back when $10 was a fortune XD. The only other toa that I had all six of were the toa inika. I actually still have all of my old bionicles around here somewhere. The inika were actually a dream come true for me because my all time favorite bionicle character, apart from Kopaka, Matoro finally became a  toa. I was a fan of him back when he was just a little matoran. I think I made up my own back story for him. So much nostalgia, why did I have to become to old for bionicles :(

I remember the names of the original 6 I think

Gali-water

Kopaka-ice

Tahu-fire

Lewa-air

Onua-earth

Pohatu-stone

My favorite generation was the Toa Mahri, that blue toa, mmmmmmmm.

My favorite villain would be brutaka

Sadly enough, I never got to owning any of those 2.. :(

I was somewhat into it, until Metru Nui became a thing. I played the flash Mata Nui Adventure Game (and have tried hard at several places to try and snag myself a harddrive download of it...) and also bought Gali, Lewa, Onua and two Borhak but that's the extent of it.

I also remember that the weekend I rented whatever that movie was, Bionicle: Toa of Light or whatever the first movie was called, that was the weekend I had appendicitis and never watched it due to emergency inductance, and subsequent recovery, of surgery.

Now I'm in a mood to talk about Bionicle some more XD

My favorite villian would have had to have been the Kardas Dragon. Probably the best Christmas I'll ever have, apart from the year I got the Lego Turbo Tank  :yay: , that I still have assembled in my closet. Kardas Dragon was also cool because it could actually be disassembled into two different characters. Makuta was still the shit, sadly never owned him.

Wow, Bionicles. I remember seeing so many commercials for that when I was younger. Of course, I would beg my mom to buy it whenever I got the chance. I only had a few toys. I gave them away to my bro so he could have something to mess around with. I also own the game Bionicle. Don't like it much though. :P

I remember these guys, yeah! I actually never really bought many of the toys, but I do remember reading the books and watching three movies (Legends of Mata Nui, Web of Shadows, and this other one involving Takanuva). I used to love it though, spent a long time day dreaming about teaming up with Vakama and Matau and going on some Dark Hunter fighting missions...

And Makuta... that guy was awesome, and so were the Visorak.

I remember watching that movie for like 15 hours straight, I don't know what the heck I was doing lol

It was a great movie in my opinion

I remember I was an subscriber to Lego Magazine. They sent comics to promote the toys. I remember ordering my first one in the mail (the black one) and building it as soon as I got it in the doorway. I literally sat down in the entrance of my house and built it right there.

Which one? The one with Takanuva? I think I do recall being confused on several things in that movie back when I was smaller, but like you I still enjoyed watching it!

I can't say it was my favorite though, I really liked Web of Shadows the best out of those three. It always made my skin crawl with awesomeness seeing the Toa turned into weird mutant thingies by the Visorak. The villain there, Roodaka, also reminded me of Queen Chrysalis when I rewatched some of her scenes a few weeks ago.

But man... the Visorak... Loved those metal spiders!

I liked seeing cool creations people make in the lego magazine, and the rare edition where they show nothing but lego sets and the amount of pieces in them and the price

only got 1 of those and I used to be in the lego club for like 7 years

How could I ever forget Bionicles? I used to collect them...lots of them...Actually I've still got about 120 of them :I. Kinda need to get rid of them, they just take too much space and surely could earn some bucks. Anyhow: Bionicles where just awesome back , even the new generations were quite good. But when it became this whole Hero Factory thing, it became just...meh. I loved just loved the feeling to complete a generation in my collection (got about four of those, but still). I sure could have invested my money better , but geez, I was just a kid and back then it was worth my pocket money.

I still have that one! I think there are Bionicle fans who are bronies still on the internet, they call themselves 'bionies' or something.

Life is like an MMORPG, but with fewer fantasy weapons and more soul-crushing nihilistic despair that visits when you least need it.

I loved Bionicles. I collected as many as my parents would buy me. I still have them all. Some of the ball joints on a few have cracked (a minor flaw in their design), but almost all are intact and with original packaging. I was really disappointed when they made Hero Factory. I would have loved to see Bionicles continue, but I guess that won't be happening. I still have the 3D computer game, and I might have the Wii version too.
