What's the best way to deal with a storm?

Personally, if there is rain with the storm, I turn on the sprinklers to return fire, but maybe that's just me.

 

How do you deal with large storms, forums?

Sleeping, or making some soup and watching movies <3 Its also the perfect time to read a nice book! 

 

Make sure to lock your doors though, and if its really severe, guard the windows!

Hide under the covers cowering I pull out the old gameboy advance or possibly the 3DS (if it's charged) and play some games until the storm passes. That or bunkering down, take a short nap and hope it's gone when I wake up.

Usually I'll just continue on whatever I'm doing, unless the storm is bad enough, then I'll border up. Though sometimes my father and I will do what we aren't supposed to do, which is grabbing a drink and sitting on the porch to watch nature's fury. Fun.

Personally, sleeping to the sound of storms is completely calming to me. I also love playing video games while it's storming outside as well. I just love storms.

Really depends on the type of the storm. If it's just raining heavily, I like to stay inside and maybe read something. Thunderstorms though.. Ooooh boy. When there's lightning, you won't find me inside. I'll most likely be on the porch staring at the sky and hoping to see the biggest motherbucking lightning ever! I simply love thunder. The stronger the better Hail is pretty cool too. I like to stand outside and let the hail fall on me (and hope there won't be any fist-sized pieces) Lastly there's snowstorms. Count on me being inside covered with ten blankets, cup of hot chocolate in my hand and reading a good book (or pony fanfics on iPad... More likely that.. )

I'll pull out my 3DS and mess around with it. Don't have to worry about that when the power goes out. I also sleep if I get really bored or write random words on paper and make sentences out of them. If all else fails, I have conversations with myself. Gives me someone to talk to at least.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but storms always make everything more comfortable for me. It's probably the feeling of being indoors safe from the storm that I like.

 

So really the best way to deal with the storm is not bother worrying about it.

I find storms to be quite fascinating actually. Makes things interesting. Usually I continue doing whatever I was doing, but sometimes I sit by the window and watch, especially if I can observe the actual storm front. I've also gone outside from time to time as well. I enjoy the rain.

Depends on the type of the storm. If it doesn't have rain, I ignore it (though my dog goes crazy during storms.) If it has any kind of rain, I will enjoy it as I love rain, and it's so relaxing and pretty.

Me and my friends usually ignore storms. We go out and do stuff regardless of whether or not there's thunder and what not. Coming from the desert, I love the rain.

Occasionally (depends on the mood), if it's "day" time, I'll actually go outside into that rainy storm to get crazy, or sometimes walk. Besides that I just stay inside and relax. At night, I'll go to sleep as it's calming.

 

Heck, even being in your room (save area) in Red Dead Redemption during a rainy storm is calming, I just want to go into that world and lay in the bed.

We don't get great storms in England like you guys do in the states, we just get thunderstorms and flooding, sometimes heavy winds but never anything major.

The best way to deal with a storm, in my opinion, is simply to sit inside and simply listen to it, provided that it isn't actively trying to kill you, that is.

Depending on the severity, one of two things can happen:

 

If it's not severe, I'll just carry on as if nothing's going on. Might peer out the window and watch.

 

If it is severe, though, then I start towing all of my worldly possessions down to the basement, then glue my eyes to the radar until I'm absolutely certain the threat of tornadoes has passed. I hate being lilapsophobic.

I like to go outside...especially during thunderstorms .I just find it fun and relaxing.usually i"m on my bike, so I go around town and find a lot of downed trees, smashed cars...etc. I usually enjoy watchign teh chaos unfold....examples are here in some pics I took, from a storm that flooded our streets a few days ago.

If it is a major storm, I turn off all the electronics in my unit (within reason, meaning things like my two TVs, all the computer and stuff like that), and if it's really scary, hide under the covers. If it is a small storm and the thunder isn't too close and it is raining, then I just like to lay/sit in bed and listen to it.
