Nuclear took a deep breath, her eyes watching Jaqueline as a yellow radioactive aura enveloped her horn and slowly spread to her whole body.

 

'Just need to get a good shot at a limb or make her sick enough to want to stop fighting...I don't want to kill...'

 

She narrowed her eyes. "Crossroads!" she shouted, a large explosion in the arena creating a dust cloud under which she used to charge at Jaqueline.

 

The yellow aura seemed to concentrate around her front hooves as she went in for a punch to the face.

"Now this is a fight I'd hate to see stop, but love to watch end!" Said Topaz. "It looks like the former champ is about to make a move on his opponent!"

"No time for chit-chat. Let's get this thing goin'." He said charging at Swordpoint. Just as he was about to nail Swordpoint, he vanished into thin air. Thunder Dash waited for the right time. He could see the look on Swordpoint's face, serious and ready to win.

Swordpoint waited. He could feel Thunder's energy, and he was waiting calmly. He would be ready when Thunder decided to strike. He spread his wings and gathered energy, fully prepared. His eyes glowed a bright gold, and he was surrounded by a golden aura.

Thunder Dash sensed the energy building. He knew when he reappeared, he would be hit. So, he charged some energy, reappeared with his double-bladed staff and sliced Swordpoint on the side and flew back into the air quickly. He then stayed in the air being conscious of his energy levels.

As soon as Thunder reappeared, Swordpoint created a small shield around himself. Thunder's staff bounced harmlessly off of it. Swordpoint leapt into the air, giving chase to Thunder. "You would do well to know your opponent." He skillfully spun his lance, swiping at Thunder's chest.

Thunder-Dash dodged the swipe. "Hmm, maybe I shouldn't be so hasty to deliver first blood." Thunder Dash thought to himself. He then twirled his double-bladed staff around rapidlly. He was standing on his hind legs. He had that "Come at me bro!" look on his face, but he made sure not to give himself away. He then charged at Swordpoint, but teleported behind him at the last second and hit him with a hard kick, which sent him flying a few feet.

Sole continued to glare in mason's direction, even after he left "I swear stone... I swear I'll avenge you." He said quietly, before walking toward the stands to watch the current fights *could stone really be alive? What if their holding her somewhere?* he thought nervously *if she is alive... where is she?*

Swordpoint recovered with a quick flap of his wings. "You can use magic..." Swordpoint was amazed. The only pegasi in Equestria who knew magic were the ones he had taught over the past few years. "Please, Thunder. Put away your weapon. Fight me in hoof to hoof combat. There is no need for death today."

 

(OoC: He's telling the truth, not trying to deceive you. He'd rather not kill if it can be avoided. Also, he's wearing armor.)

"Alright then." Thunder Dash said as he made his staff disappear and got on to his hind legs. "Let's do this!" Thunder Dash said charging his energy. He then eyed Swordpoint sharply, to see what he was going to do. He had many plans in his mind, but was not going to give them away by his facial expression.

Sole had decided to go somewhere else instead of the arena. He needed to visit someone, he had a lot of questions... and he had to be sure of something. "Whiplash..." he said calmly, as he walked into the infirmary *just as i thought... stone isn't here. Even if she is dead, where's the body?* he thought, before looking at whiplash "we need to talk..." he said simply.

Whiplash tensed up, making her aching muscles scream. "Don't creep up on me like that," she sighed. "What is it?" The pegasus felt her stomach contort as she realized Sole was coming in here to talk to her about Stone. He probably hates my guts, she thought, frowning. Whiplash hated her own guts too.

Swordpoint smiled. "Thank you." He levitated his lance, and it disappeared in a flash of golden light. His armor disappeared, as well. He is overconfident, but I believe he is honorable. It lightens the burden on my heart to know that I will not have to kill him.

 

Swordpoint spread his wings and charged energy again. The swirling golden aura gave him an almost divine appearance. He stood his ground, watching and waiting. Swordpoint was always calm im battle, and he had no need for adrenaline. He knew that striking first was not important. In fact, striking first often leaves an opening for a counterattack. He silently awaited his opening, knowing that Thunder would strike eventually.

sole's serious expression dropped for a moment as he smiled encouragingly at her, even though he didn't feel like smiling, it was to make her feel better. "Its alright... calm down. I'm not mad... I know its not your fault. Its this damn tournament." He said encouragingly "I just wanted to ask ya a few things... like, are you SURE she was dead?" He asked "please... I need to know for certain. Was she dead whe you left the arena?"

Whiplash layed her head back, deep in thought, trying to remember. "My mind had been fuzzy from the blood loss, but I saw her being dragged somewhere," the mare said, flaring her nostrils in disgust. "After that, I passed out, and haven't seen her at all since. I..I think she's.." her voice cracked as a tear dropped onto her bed. Whiplash looked away, dropping her bandaged head down.

And so Frost makes the first mistake. Even though she got cut thanks to the her power over ice, It quickly covered up with ice that allowed Icy to move normally. Not wanting to give Frost a chance to hit again Icy jumped back and made and Ice wall between them. Working quickly she formed A copy of herself in ice.

"Normally your black mist would work against ponies who need to see, but thanks to my power. I can feel your body heat in the mist. your clones don't give any body heat so I know where you are. If you could feel body as I do, you still couldn't find me, since I can hide my body heat"

Icy had her clone melt away into the Ice on the ground. Icy could walk on ice like a pegasus could walk on clouds.

Her scythe appeared out of the ground. With the Ice wall between them Icy began to to work on dropping the air around them to an even colder temperature. Ice shard began to form in the air. She was used to coldness, but this pony may not.

Thunder Dash charged at Swordpoint but sprang into the air and performed a double frontflip over Swordpoint. He than faked out a kick and went for a sweep kick. "Hopefully this works." Thunder Dash said to himself. He did not want to lose, and tried to desperately to maintain his overconfidence.

Swordpoint remained calm as Thunder faked. When Thunder attempted to sweep kick him, Swordpoint jumped over Thunder, wrapped his legs around Thunder's torso, planted his front hooves on the ground, and smashed Thunder into the ground. "Not every battle is won through brute force. Strategy will serve you far better."

sole was quiet for a long time as he listened to her story "i-i see..." he mumbled, as tears began to well up in his eyes too "so... I guess its true. She's gone..." he said quietly, as memories of their life flashed in his mind. He couldn't take it, and began to cry sadly "I swear I'll avenge her... I'm going to kill rail and that damn lackey of his!" He said angrily.

Frost could see his breath and became concerned. "So this mare can since body heat as well as walk on ice. Great two more things to over come. First the ice." he said as his armor on the tip of his hoofs grew spikes, allowing him more mobility on the ice. "Second the body heat." he said as one eye changed again from red to green. "Now I can since her movement just as well as she can see my body heat." he thought "but the blows I'm giving will have to do more damage." he said as he launched both of his sabers through the Ice walk. One went clean through Ice's front leg, and the second would hopefully re open the wound on her shoulder.

Whiplash whipped around to face Sole. He was going to avenge Stone, and take out the terrible Rail who caused all of this, the one who was causing pointless bloodshed. "I'm going to help you," Whiplash said grimly, staring Sole in the eye. She wasn't going to take "no" for an answer.

Crimson sat in the audience, watching icy's fight with frost with a hopeful and supporting look on his face, "come on icy...you've got this, I trained you well enough to know that you can beat this guy...now prove me right!" Thought crimson as he payed close attention to icy's attacks.

sole looked at her evenly "you can do whatever you want, but I'm gonna kill those two for all the pain they've caused." He said calmly, before turning to leave "and one other thing... what did she say before she..." he didn't finish the sentence, but waited for an answer.

Whiplash calmy gazed at the griffon, but couldn't help but let the sadness seep into her voice. "She said she wanted me to tell her niece that she loves her, and that she's sorry. She said her..her niece..was very b-brave." Whiplash angrily growled, "I promised her I would, and that's exactly what I'm going to do."
