My Drawing of Zygen's OCs (Critique wanted)

Okay, some of you know this, but @Zygen is currently working on a mare OC to be his main OC's lover/girlfriend. The design is finished for her, but he still needs to come up with a name, and other things.

Anyway, I decided to draw a picture of them together for @Zygen. It's not too romantic, but oh well. The picture can be found below. Let me know what you guys think, and some constructive criticism for it would be nice.

 

 

I'm just bumping this thread back up. I really want some critique so I can become a better artist. Thanks in advance to those who provide feedback and/or constructive criticism.

I'm serious, this is really adorable! I like the expressions on both Zygen's ponysona's face, as well his female OC!

 

I like the mood, the atmosphere, and the color shading here.

 

Mind if I ask, what program did you use?

 

I've been doing a lot of sketches on paper and though I've been told they're good and stuff, I always wanted to to take my artistry to the computer and improve my skills in pulling off drawings, paintings, and possibly vectors!

As for the program, all I used was Paint Tool SAI. It's a really good program once you get the hang of it. Luckily, there isn't that big of a learning curve.

Looks really good to me like i said. I love it, and i didn't even ask you for it, which makes it all the more awesome .

 

Plus i must say it looks pretty adorable.

 

Soon i'll hopefully have a collection of adorable pictures of them together .

 

Or i'll learn to draw them myself maybe.

 

Never as good as you, but maybe i'll be able to do something xD.

 

Anyways it looks good. Like you already mentioned to me its not the same muzzle on my ponysona as it is normally, but yeah.

 

Idk what to really critique anyways, i don't have a ton of skill to do that kinda stuff anyways ;p.

 

Plus since you drew it as sort of a gift for me, i'd feel odd trying to critique it much anyways.

Yeah man it's totally fine!

 

Basically Zygen gave me a simple request on this thread of mine, to ship the OC's together. I got all creative and "boom!" this is what it ended up being!

Aww, you have a very cute art style. It's cute how The Mare Not Currently named just goes up, and kisses Zygen while Zygen just stands there blushing with his eyes open. It's a really good drawing as well, and the lines are very clean, so good job with that,

That means a lot. I haven't really considered myself good or that skilled with art till I began drawing ponies for people. Kind of caught me off by surprise!

 

I hope to try out some drawing and arts online. Maybe I could try out that one program you suggested.

I still have a long way to go before I consider myself good at drawing.

As for tracing, not that I know of. Digital pony sketching isn't that different from normal sketching, and I don't vector, so I wouldn't know anything about that. For this drawing, I did it free-handed.

The mare's snout and head shape needs work, as doe the way her leg attaches to her body the lower part of Zygen's mane.

Its funny because its a pretty accurate representation of what would happen if a girl did that to me xD.

I think you both are great artists! I mean think of it this way, your better then me, and a good bit of others to! Plus everyone whos never really tried, so your better then quite alot of people . Including myself, way better then me haha.
