One final thought

So this occured to me a little while ago. If you were given the opportunity to have one final thought before you pass on, and it would be the only thing you would see and/or hear for the rest of eternity, what would it be?

For me it would be the image of my loved ones, smiling and laughing. There would be soft music playing, a few of them would be dancing, and I would just be sitting there, smiling with them. That's all I'd need.

So, how about you? I'm quite curious to know.

Well...Equestria would be nice!  Lol!  But as far as the here and now.  I would want to see the faces of every life I have touched.  From family to strangers, all there for me to look upon and say..."It was worth it"

I go by Cottonwood Jack, Cottonwood, Jack or CJ...but most of my friends call me Applejack or AJ.  Course that's cause Applejack is my favourite Pony!

I would like to know that my Life has had a purpose, and has been used to help mankind in the masses.  I would also like to think about being loved by a creator with infinite wisdom.

I would imagine black silence. The only thing I'm gonna see and hear for all eternity? Shoot, I hate having a song stuck in my head for a day. let alone eternity! Repetition that keeps repeating continuously over and over would be as redundant as deja vu happening all over again and again and again and again and again...

Let me make this clear once more so as not to repeat myself again in an endless cycle of redundancy, doubling infinitely to the point of infinity +1 or more.

I would feel miserable...but happy I get to pass on to the next step in life and see my passed loved ones. I would smile to myself, tears would swell...look back at my memories, remember everyone I love and loved, so and on. :')
I can say I lived a happy life.

I would just think of all of a perfect fantasy for me to live for the rest of eternity. Maybe it involves smexy ponies, maybe not. mlp-desexy.png

My thought would be a small island out in the middle of the ocean with no one there but me. There would be no worries, sorrow, or regret. Even better, no people. Just me there with birds flying overhead and fish swimming happily while the sun beams down on the ocean, causing it to sparkle. My paradise.

My final thought would be to tell somebody to cut my head after my death and freeze it, and keep it frozen until the time will come that the informations stored in my brain could be read out and copied into some computer. This way my life experiences and thoughts and everything I've learned throughout my life won't be lost forever.

The final thought that I would have while still in my body, before my consciousness departs to rejoin my soul group, would be to recall that there is no need for experience; only unconditional love and infinite forgiveness.  There's no need to experience karma and repay or be repaid for something that didn't need to happen and doesn't need to happen again.  "I'm done."

Or, y'know, a rainbow would be kinda nice too.  Everybody loves rainbows. :D

The final thought for me would be me, my family and my friends lying on a hill and looking at the stars. Background noises would be the nature, just the sound of moving leaves and crickets. Perhaps mumbling from time to time, which are nothing more but memories of the random discussion we had. Just knowing that my final though is close to my family and friends is more than enough for me, I would never get enough of it because it's one of the moments I'd never want to end.

i would try to think of my loved ones before i pass on

to know that my parents where proud of me what i had achieved

my (future) children to grow into lovely people and live happily with their own families

to know that me and my ( again future) wife had something special, to know that she will live out the rest of her days in peace and happiness and the thought of seeing her again.

and the thought of seeing long lost/deceased family members in the place after death

those would be my final thoughts

** any where with "future" means i do not have them i am 17 and do not have or plan to have them in the immediate future **

Well, I've always wanted to know exactly what it is that the Colonel put into his fried chicken that made it so finger lickin' good. Maybe if I thought about it for long enough, I'd be able to figure it all out!

Or maybe I'd just think about a Shangri-La type place. Either works.

I would love my final thought to be something of my imagination, all of my creative thoughts and everything else I thought up would be a ball or bubble and that would be my last thought. I know that some of my thoughts would be scary and something terrifying but I know that I would die happy with I were to die with the one thing that made me happy in my entire life.

All my dreams and characters and universes and worlds that I have made will be the last thing I see, and that would make me happy.

A single thought? Nothing. If that thought can't evolve into other thoughts, it would be a like a still picture or a movie constantly on repeat. Eventually, it would become boring and then just plain annoying: the mental equivalent of watching paint dry. No, I'd rather have no enduring thoughts at all, just let my mind disappear and rest in peace.

This. If the only option is oblivion I'd rather that my mind not be active at all. Thank god for multiverse theory keeping me sane in all the talk of afterlife.

My final thought would simply be a feeling of contentment, knowing that I have lived my life and death is part of the natural progression. Really, it doesn't matter. The great thing about a final thought before death is that there are no more after that. You can't feel regret or be ticked at yourself for a stupid thought if you're dead.

My last words will be some cryptic nonsense. Most people say something important on their deathbeds, so I would take advantage of that to confuse and troll whoever was present. Either way, I'm dying with a smile on my face.

  • 6 years later...

My family without a doubt. But if I can only have one image I’m going to stack it, so I’ll have an image of my family at my favorite place (Disneyland). And while I’m at it, have them all eating my favorite kind of pizza. That covers the basics.
