My Little Pony confessions and secrets

Thank you kind sir! I'm not the kind of person who shoves my fetish in people's faces and demands they agree with me. I know that there are people in this fandom who don't take to kindly to this behavior so when I need to talk about it, I find other cloppers to chat with. Still glad this fandom has plenty of accepting people like you though.

Very welcome!

I see no point in making someone feel bad for something about them....and in all honesty, I too have a slight habit of clopping as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of fanfics, but the odd one can be REALLY good :)

*Cough cough My little Dashie

It's not just MLP fanfics. I don't like fanfics in general... MLP is no exception.

I suppose I should also confess that I think it's really weird that the majority of people outside of the target audience for MLP are middle-aged men. It's also... ugh... ._.'

Also -- rubbing your wood to animals is... strange. I don't care what sexuality you are -- that's a tad bit messed up. I refuse to enforce that aspect of this community.

With fanfics it really depends on the author. Don't get me wrong, 90% of fanfics are utter garbage, but then you find that odd gem :)

I don't Find it weird that older men like a cartoon, especially as an animation student. A great story can be found in any medium, no matter the target audience, that's my motto :) (I'm a 19 year old male if your curious)

As for the clopping... Yeah, I don't do it myself but I feel no hate towards people who do. It's just something people do I guess, It has no effect on my life so I really don't care.

And you don't have to. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and interests, but we also don't want to make anybody feel like crap because they do something you disagree with. It's the same with some of your friends not liking My Little Pony. We (hopefully) don't beat them senseless for not watching the show, and they wouldn't ruin our reputation for finding it interesting. If they do, move to another country.

I guess the major shocker here is that I'm genuinely uninterested in the actual show. I just like the community. I think this sort of fandom could have stuck to so many different things. For example, people keep drawing themselves as ponies. Why not draw themselves as M&Ms or Power Rangers or Jedi or something else along those categorized lines. Why did the internet stick with ponies? The appeal just strikes me as... odd.

My views on masturbating to ponies stand -- I don't want to call it "clopping" either. I think dubbing it that lessens the fact that people are indulging in revolting acts. Men are eradicating many lives-to-be by "..."-ing to on-screen animals... It's really disgusting to think that little girls might discover their favorite cartoon character pulled out of intended context and manipulated into something... used to reach a climax... One unintentional search might destroy someone's way of thinking towards the world. It's just sick.

Edit: This society focuses too much on sex. I don't feckin' approve D:

The attraction to the show? Personally I like the art style. This would also explain why a ton of people draw themselves as ponies. I am quite guilty of drawing MLP fan art :P It also has a wide range of fairly 3 dimensional characters, especially for a kids show.

As for the rest of your post, I'll have to agree AND disagree. I don't like Rule 34 in general, but it's become a part of the internet. Bronies aren't the only fanbase guilty of this, R34 exists in nearly every fanbase out there. Yes, it's tragic for the young girls/boys, but the truth is that the internet is full of horrors as it is, people that young (I assume your talking about the intended fanbase) Shouldn't be surfing the internet unsupervised as it is. There is nothing we can do about it, so I generally ignore it.

I don't blame you, but not all fanfics are like that :P But yeah, Cupcakes tends to do that to people

I love the fant art provided by our community, it's on of the reasons I became a brony in the first place! :o

I know that there is a lot worse than My Little Pony porn on the internet. I just don't think unsuspecting people should have their minds corrupted at such a young age. Today's music is bad enough :U

I don't support any R34 stuff -- whatever it may be. I've got some class, and I'd like to think my virtues and values are relatively beneficial to my and others' health/heart. [Not literally heart as in the muscle. As in the conscience kinda heart.] I know it may not be best to project my views of distaste with a single portion of the community where we should all support each other, but seriously... STOP WHACKING IT TO EQUINES! And honestly, I dislike the accessibility of that sorta stuff being so easily placed. I might end up with completely irrational and disgusting content based on a harmless search!

I suppose I'm just trying to say that the prominence of such material should be refined to the darkest depths of the internet, instead of being flaunted around for everyone to see. I'm not attacking those of you who find pleasure in... y'know. I'm just saying I don't have respect for that sort of thing. I wholeheartedly support every other aspect of the fandom, though! ... Except for fanfics, shipping, and the show itself. I'm a man -- I have muscles, not feelings. [Anyone offended by that last bit? Too bad!] B)

My confession is that I wish Scootaloo was my daughter, but that doesn't even seem worthy of being labeled a "confession" after all the interesting stuff I just read in this topic. Oh god.

BAHA Yes! Cars, Motor oil, sports! MAN STUFF!! Nah, I like ponies, I have no preconceptions of gender roles c:

We're bronies. Barring a few outliers, tolerating weird habits is our whole shtick. We're dudes that watch My Little Pony for Equestria's sake!

I watch My Little Pony for My Little Pony. It's funny, cute, and entertaining. I have always been a fan of almost any kind of cartoon. Heck, I used to watch Blues Clues, but I never liked it. I only watched it when my cousin was over because we liked finding the little snail hidden 3 times throughout every episode. We always made rapist jokes towards the snail, since it always looked like it was stalking Steve.

I am a part of the community for the community AND the show. I love discussing the show with others, and trying to find reasons why Rainbow Dash is better than any of the others.

Basically, I love the show all-around.

AH. Rotten luck my friend. I had the misfortune of reading Cupcakes merely hours after My Little Dashie. BROKE. MY. FREAKING. HEART. :(

I understand what you went through, and I wish nobody has to experience something like that anymore. It's a pretty intense feeling.

^ That.

I don't care what everyone is into. The majority of my school still plays pokemon. It's incorrect to say that men can do the same things as women, and the other way around. I do believe everyone is entitled to be who they truly feel they ought to be -- I simply hold the ideals of my ancestors. I am a badass viking and, after returning from my conquest, I'd like to see those I've fought to protect safe at home. I don't want to discourage the role of being innocent. I find that role an important part of civilization! It's the whole reason our world is the way it is, in a secular sense! XD

Those who protect and those who destroy -- both sides would lose it if there was no in-between to keep them motivated!

Males and females should pursue whatever makes them happy -- just not drool over a screen with their had on/in their private areas. That should be a sacred act saved for when you meet the person you truly connect with. ;)

And no -- I'm not Catholic, if you think that's where I'm getting all this from. XD

EDIT: Also, I'm not into cars and stuff. I just like what i like. Fighting and violence, while I must acknowledge is a horrible thing, is foremost and center. Really -- All guys can back me up on this one. It's not really something you grow out of...

I agree that the little ones shouldn't have access to that kind of stuff. But that's porn in general. Don't you think you're being a little harsh to cloppers? Especially since several have overcome a great amount of trepidation to admit it on this thread? That shows courage in themselves and trust in their community.

I dont care for the naming of it either, just seems like someone really wanted to contribute something so badly that they renamed another term to fit the fandom.

In my opinion, I wouldnt exactly call the characters full on animals because of how many human characteristics they possess. Yes, they are literally ponies, aesthetically, but normal ponies cant run a kingdom, don't talk, don't make deep friendships - you see where im going with this? Just too much for them to labeled as animals.

And little people (boys and girls) should not be on the internet without supervision and not at all in my opinion. I see it as too dangerous for them.

Once again the keyword: "Internet"

I fully understand what your saying on how easily it can be found. Humans will be humans, though, especially the overly-sex-driven ones who will buck anything with a hole. The only real thing one can do is try their best to keep little ones away from such, which is literally almost impossible, especially when it comes to this and other kid's shows.

Are you kidding? I LOVE to discuss the show! Though the only one I can do it with in person is my youngest brother, I love discussing the setting's lore.

It does? That's news to me. Sure we make the occasional joke, but I see faaaaaaar more discussion about interviews with the staff, fanfiction, music, and other independent projects than sex. You wanna see a fanbase loaded with sexual content, look at Harry Potter! Edited by Steel Accord
