I'm a long time Halo fan, and I watched the new Halo 4 game play at E3, I think it looks amazing, but I haven't talked to other people about it as much. Any other opinions?

Well I'm really looking forward to it but I am a little skeptical of it. From what I've read microsoft is starting to turn it into call of halo. But all in all I'm sure it will be a great game. =D

Halo 4 is kinda "overdue" if you ask me. Reach wasn't really necessary to the plot, IMO.

Not necessary in terms of the plot, but without Reach there would have been an additional two years before a new Halo game. (I don't consider Anniversary "new").

 

I personally would have not enjoyed the gap there.

Reach was a good idea, I wanted a game like this since reading Fall of Reach. I had such high hopes but once I played it and beaten it I was upset that it didn't have the route that I was hoping for. Couple of other spartans fighting the covenant while defending the last of the mac cannons. Then slowly retreating and meeting your maker. With some filler missions here and there. O well though.

 

Any who H4 i feel like its going to be a hit just from the amount of stuff that we've been feed so far it seems great, and everyone that has played it says it was great. And the idea that its getting like COD, truth is games are starting to evolve into something like that fast pace, and fast spawns. People don't have the attention span to sit there. Modern people are getting dumb and their the ones populating games not the true nerds that would sit there and wait.

 

Enough of me ranting and hating society. :/ But for the people waiting for a Legendary Edition 343 has already announced no Legend only standard, and limited. And if your a hardcore fan go with the limited you get the season pass for all DLC rather than spending more money. Just my advice. :I

Ok then let me start that back up. I think the idea of removing Elites as a playable race was a terrible one at that. Why? Halo 2 was one of the first FPS to show to conflicting perspectives rather than having the "good guys" and the "bad guys". In Halo 3 they just turned in to Master Chiefs sidekicks due to poor player reception which obviously I don't agree with. In Halo: Reach they were just gone, only available in MM in specific playlist and gametype variants with the story focus being on the Spartan III's that's understandable but they could have kept them to be a valid option for players who liked as their digital avatars. Yes I was a bit of a bigger target but that didn't stop me from achieving my player potential regardless of one disadvantage and the fact that Elites had a VERY SLOW health regeneration somewhat balanced that out.

 

And now? Well... not happening in Halo 4 in anyway which is very disappointing. From what the books have started to outline they aren't unified as a race when it comes to the stance on a stance on the Humans and UNSC which loosely explains why you'd be fighting some of them in Halo 4 although not fully explained yet why grunts and jackals are just following them around willy nilly like the Covenant is magically back together. That random tangent aside I just don't see why they took that option away and it makes me a very disappointed fan of the franchise/IP.

Eh, I played halo and it was good for awhile, then it kinda died for me. I only play now for the forge mode, that takes hours to get bored with. Though I really like the armor in this game.
