Well, I'll be honest. I'm not very good at FPS's, including Halo. I've never owned any of the games, I've just played them over at friends' houses. I don't think I've ever actually played the game, just online matches. It is a pretty fun game, though. However, there are FPS's that are better

I've beat every halo game out there.

 

Halo combat evolved-one of the hardest halos for me to beat

 

Halo 2- i would have liked to see where they went if they did the E3 version

 

Halo 3- Great campaign and online

 

Halo 3 ODST- felt like playing combat evolved normal on easy(in other words pretty rough legendary)

 

Halo wars- At first I thought it was just a halo knock off of Starcraft but it's actually pretty fun

 

Halo reach- lots of fun it got me into playing swat

 

Halo 4- the end brought a manly tear to my eye. I played the entire series and practically grew up with Chief and Cortana.

 

In all its better than cod could ever be in terms of story line.

Hehe, the truth is that I have yet to play any version of HALO, except for maybe the first -_-

But is it worth playing? I mean, how good is it, really?

are you kidding me halo is the best fps I've played, and most likely ever will play because of two reasons 1: it's awsome 2: it's a fun time game on multiplayer it doesn't try to be seriose like battlefield or call of duty, exept for the campaign that a little seriose at time but it make up for it in the fact that your an 7ft tall genetically modified awsome spartan fighting against 9ft tall split jawed aliens with swords of plasma that can go invisible, a d that's why I love halo.

I've beat every Halo game on Legendary, and I've been a fan for quiet some time now.

 

Back in the days of 2004, when Halo 2 first hit the shelves. The matchmaking is my favorite multiplayer of any game, regardless of which Halo it's from. Their all so great, and the Forge was and still is revolutionary for a first person shooter.

Halo of my favorite video game franchise, and the lore is so good that I love reading the books.  I've beat every game on Legendary, and while I still play matchmaking, I'm starting to lose my will to play with random teammates so I rarely play the multiplayer.

By the way, the voice actor for Master Chief. Didn't alter his voice for recording, he actually talks that way all the time. I know because I watched an interview with him, and the whole time he talked like Master Chief. No stopping because his throat hurt, or needed a drink so he could keep doing it.

Halo is the only reason I haven't gotten rid of my Xbox 360. I've been playing Halo since Halo 2 came out on the original Xbox. Halo Reach was ok but I think that Halo 4 is a way better game.

In my entire life I've only played the first 2 Halo games, on the PC in fact. Never owned another Xbox aside from my original circa 2003. But nonetheless I've followed the story, characters and the whole universe in general. It's just an intriguing franchise that has always caught my attention. I love the lore in short

Well, duh. That's why they picked him. The best voice actor is the one who doesn't have to act at all.

 

He's definitely improved in Halo 4 though. At some points you can actually hear touches of dispair or sorrow in there. Even a near-voice crack when he yells "Cortana!" during the final mission.

I started with Halo 2 when I was in 4th grade. In 9th grade now, and I preordered 4 back in November. I liked 4, but it didn't feel the same as the rest of the games to me. In order, my favourites are: 2, CE, ODST, 3, Reach and then 4

Oh my god - The ghosts of Reach was really, really good - But every now and again, I pick up the graphic novel. Just to flick through.

 

I also loved Reach, Bungie and 343 did such a good job on that one. I've got all of them, But my favourite is Halo 4. It's so good - People say it's not as good as the other Halo's, But I just think they don't care much for 343. The truth is; They are the same people! Ever since Marathon: Durandel, 343 have been looking over their shoulder and helping Bungie. The fact that the have made the next game really makes me happy. ^^

I love Halo. CE is still my favorite FPS of all time. 4 is the only newish game that I play regularly.

Oh I used to freakin' love Halo (not that I don't still like it, I'm just not into it any more), the lore was just so ... so awesome! I swear I spent hours just looking up random stuff on the wiki, playing the games, reading some of the books (which is saying something, since I never read books), and even collecting/building/playing with the Mega Bloks sets.
