Editing status

Hey guys!

       when I was typing a long status, then tap enter. I actually realized I had several typos on it. So I get near the status update but there is only "delete" I said WHAT!!!!!. So I was really disappointing even if you wrote a very long status. So there should be an "edit" button to the status, a good way to fix typos.

I would guarantee this is just a limitation of IP Board, because status updates seem to be handled and set up exactly the same on every IPB forum I've visited.

 

Statuses are really not that long. You could easily type it again rather quickly, so it's not really a big problem.

 

With the future plans for the site, I'd think they could add it easily, but for now, there's no point in doing so.

The simplest solution at this point is to copy your old status, delete it, and paste it into a new status update before changing it. As Tsukihi said above, IP Board does not support status editing.

 

A good proofread is always a good idea, though.

You could always copy what you wrote, fix your errors and paste them down again. That's what I do, at least. Editing it would be nice and all, but it's not really that hard to copy+fix+paste or just retype it all.

Just delete your status and retype it.

 

It just takes 15 seconds of your time, depending on your internet speed.

 

There's no need for this.
