Pomfritter 165 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 So today I had to take a bath for the first time in ages (our bathroom with a shower has a leak at the moment, so we can't use it) and I was wondering about this. Also, I use well water since I live in a very small village, so I was also wondering how many others didn't have city water.
Sabrinie 392 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 While I normally take showers at school, I do prefer baths. It's much easier for me to relax and unwind after a hard day in the tub with some aromatherapy going on as well. What fun is there in making sense? Scootalove 10,689 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 I enjoy taking a nice relaxing shower, since I'm forced to shower all of the time. But, I'll only take baths when it is needed especially on a hot day. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules

Fluttershyfan94 5,742 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 (edited) I just have water straight from the glaciers.. Well technically not directly you know how it works, glacier water, then water goes through some type of station and then to the homes. I guess it would be called running water but I live in a small town. I prefer showering I haven't used a bath since I was a kid. I just use the shower, it's better that way anyway. I actually don't prefer one thing over the other, showers are just less time consuming. It's much easier for me to relax and unwind after a hard day in the tub with some aromatherapy going on as well. I suppose I'd enjoy a bath more if I didn't have to wait 30 minutes for half of a tub of water and if it wasn't well water, but I agree that it is nice and relaxing. I'm usually too busy to take 2 showers, but that'd be a nice way to get ready for bed. I just have water straight from the glaciers.. Smarts 1,622 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 I use city water and I prefer showers. With a shower, it helps me unwind after a stressful day. The only sounds I hear are the hot water hitting my body and tub. Gives me a sense of peace and tranquility that I can't find anywhere else. 1 IF is best girl. Guest November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 City Water Showers by far, quicker, less hassle, and when you take a bath, you're just sitting in your own dirty water lol. I'd prefer to get in and out.

I agree with everything each one of you said. Especially what NightOwl says about the bath. I guess it's just different for me since I have well water instead of city water now.
Envy 6,169 November 6, 2013 Share November 6, 2013 I use city water... Because that's what is readily available. If I drink water, I get it filtered through my fridge or drink bottled water. I only take showers because nowadays the thought of a bath seems kind of gross to me. Taking a shower seems cleaner to me, and it feels a lot nicer. Everything needs more woodwind! Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,611 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 City water and I usually just shower. Unless I just want to relax entirely, I think showers are more productive in terms of hygiene. I can actually relax in a shower as well, just standing there thinking about nothing, listening to the water. One of the few moments where I can potentially ease my mind from thought. It is nice.
Legacy Dash 439 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 I have city water - sadly, here in Adelaide, the city water is disgusting - and in some houses, I can't drink it. When I used to live in a cottage in a little town called Moonta I used to drink rainwater - but showered and stuff with city water. I used to love the rain water. Signature by . Abstract 832 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 When I was growing up, I almost exclusively took baths - I loved soaking in a tub for up to an hour or more. But as I neared the end of high school, for some reason I can't explain, I slowly began to like showers more. Nowadays, it's rare for me to take a bath. I've had well water and city water; I've never noticed a difference between the two when bathing or showering. "Let the steel of my resolve be not bested by the sum of my fears." Huntress 94 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 Bath :3 I find them way more relaxing, besides I'm lazy I'd rather not stand up the whole time! Plus everything is easier in a bath tub. I don't mind showers every once in awhile but I'd marry my bath tub if it was a person Plus I've got a like spa tub with jets and it can fit 2 people comfortably Daisy Patch- http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/daisy-patch-r4850 Do ya wanna build a snowman!? ghostfacekiller39 23,860 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 When I was little, I took baths everyday. I'd have little toys I'd play with, too. They were so cool I had the Human Torch and the Thing from the Fantastic 4, a wrestling action figure (Dunno which wrestler, though. Doubt I ever knew.) some Hot Wheels, and a barbie doll to be the Human Torch's girlfriend. Now, though, I take about 5 minute long showers standing up, getting nothing done but using body wash and shampooing my hair every other day. ...what happened? I miss getting to play with my toys in the bathtub. Being little was so much fun, man... He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Check out the Rarity Fan Club! Something about time in a shower is just a great way to think about things.
MeowLord Noraasha 135 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 City water, drinking it filtered, way cheaper then bottled water, and not that much different. Very rarely I like to take baths, mostly I take showers cause they're faster, more efficient, and they energize me and keep my speeds up ( If that made any sense ) UNITED WE STAND If anyone feel like talking, chatting, need an advice, have a problem or just need cheering up, I'm at your service. PonyBoy15 428 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 Water straight from the indirect water heater in the basement (which ends up being city water). 98% of the time I just shower because its quicker. Very rarely I like to take baths, mostly I take showers cause they're faster, more efficient, and they energize me and keep my speeds up ( If that made any sense ) As I said earlier, I don't like filtered water. I like the taste of normal city water (at least where I'm from) and I can't stand filtered water. Just me being weird. I just never really liked showers that much, I've always thought baths are nicer. They're honestly just as clean, I don't understand the stigma they have of not being clean. I think when people look at baths and showers they see that the water goes instantly down the drain with a shower, while the water from the bath stays with you. I don't feel different from a shower or a bath, but that's just me.
Sweet Dreams 1,893 November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 Water in our pipes. (Is that City Water? ) And I prefer showers to baths. I'd really rather not sit in a tub of water infested with my own filth, thank you very much.
~Lawful Haze~ 173 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 I prefer showers because of the speed of them, but it's so nice to just lie down in a bath and just bask in the warmth... Unless you leave the bathroom door unlocked. Then it's much mroe awkward in the bath, cos nobody can hear it XD Please tell me someone gets the joke? :3 ~ Gilda gets unlimited counterattacks, so watch out! Troblems 5,617 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 I have a sort of Calvin-esque feeling towards bathing. I shower every other day, because it saves water, and because my hair is so long it takes forever to dry. We're out in the middle of the woods, but still have city water. We should be getting sewer in the next 5 years instead of the nasty septic tank. Yay! As for baths, I don't like sitting in my steaming vessel of my discarded skin, and whatever else has attached itself to me in the last two days. Also: bonus, bad joke. What do you call a leper in a bathtub? ...Stew. Ewwww I got an extra hour in the ballpit
