gaming The Stanley Parable is overrated

The entire point of the game is to emulate life. It's confusing, it has many paths, and the directions you take are all about your choices. You choose to go one way, or the other, or the other.

The Narrator represents your conscience, the one that tells you what to do but also what not to do, and you can choose between what your heart says and what your brain says.

Aside from that, you have to get the idea of what you're doing. It's a game, in a game, that you're playing while you're controlling Stanley. For example, when you touch the keyboard, the game will also do the same noise you do.

There are many concepts for the game, and the game primarly confuses you, but that's the point, because as unexpected as all the paths and choices are, so is life.
