Things you don't understand about the opposite gender?

Well, honestly i don't totally get it either, somehow guys think that having it be bigger means your manlier or something, but realistically it doesn't really matter that much. 

I don't quite get it though, maybe got something to do with hormones, and the fact men like to be competitive about everything.. 

 

Maybe its just some guys like to talk dirty and about it because they think its funny, some seem to be that way, i know alot who make jokes about their junk, when its personally not my thing.

 

Maybe i'm just crazy, or maybe its just some who care.

 

Realistically they're all generally the same size overall. 

 

And, well to be fair guys don't go around comparing theirs actually. I mean not that i'm aware of, i think they'd think of that as gay honestly. Plus thats a little odd to do anyways. Even looking at each other in the bathroom is like a taboo thing in the mens bathroom, so yeah. 

 

However, as far as the comparing you might hear about, they do like to tell, essentially stories, that are like ridiculous and totally unreasonable, like "Mines the size of texas!" something stupid like that.

 

And honestly i think it'd be kinda weird of girls compared theirs, i mean they'd like have to be naked.

 

Of course i'm sure some compare theirs... for whatever reason. And maybe their other parts to.

 

Even as a guy i don't get whats so great about any of those parts.. Nor why guys compare theirs, or even the girls that might.

 

So idk if i truly have an answer, maybe you'll get some kind of answer from my rambling?

I'm a guy, but i wasn't aware there was a way to stop periods besides being pregnant, so unless you want to be pregnant constantly i don't think it can be stopped. 

 

The whole need to act manly thing is a society sterotype, which is reinforced since birth as i've mentioned before and others. Same with girls wearing makeup and wanting to be skinny and being self conscious.

 

See i don't have any issues with girls like you who wear it for fun, i'm sure that its all part of the experience or just for your own fun and looks, but i don't get the girls who wear it because they feel they're self consicious.

 

Lol yeah, maybe "compare" was the wrong word. More like talk about alot. Of course they don't literally pull them out and examine them side by side, that'd be pretty gay. Same with breasts, although you don't need to be topless to tell that someone else has bigger boobs than you. 

 

I don't just mean guys talking about their dick size because of their manly insecurities and desire to satisfy their partner, i just mean males loving to talk about dicks in general. Guys love dick jokes, talking about dicks, drawing them all over everything (seriously just look at youtube comments), and everything that has to do with the subject. I think its weird how revolved around penises some guy's minds are. Girls aren't like that. We don't draw va-jayjays everywhere and make jokes about them. Its weird and uncomfortable for alot of us.

 

Speaking of that, its true girls can stop their menstrual cycles by using birth control. It has plenty of downsides though, such as the price, hormonal imbalance (which can cause weight gain and all kinds of weird issues), higher risk for a crap ton of diseases (especially cancer), decreased fertility even after you stop taking pills, etc. Definitely not for everyone, PowerStar89. However, some girls have such intense periods that its worth all the downsides so they can go on living their lives without having to suffer quite so much.

And yeah thats true, guys freaking seem to stare at them randomly.

 

And i really don't get that myself either, even as a guy i don't get whats funny about it really, its true alot of guys like talking about their privates and making jokes about it and stuff. I don't really know why, maybe guys just tend to be dirty, and i'm just one of the few guys who just really isn't that interested ;p.

 

I don't draw it, and frankly it'd make me feel uncomfortable.(You should see the guys bathroom at school, besides the pee everywhere in the stalls :/.)  I don't get it honestly, i guess they just find it cool, and other guys laugh, so they continue to do it. I don't have a taste for it though.

 

I mean guys do tend to do stuff like staring at other girls and stuff and i guess some tend to be dirty, and while part of that is due to hormones, idk i don't get some of it ;p.

 

And yeah, girls don't seem to do that, of course guys do sometimes...

 

I dunno, wish i could help more, but i'm basing this on observation more then my actual thoughts since i don't really find that type of humor appealing much really.

 

Although, i will say girls aren't totally innocent as i've learned, i know some girls who can be quite perverted sometimes to. It just isn't quite as common. You'd be quite surprised what you hear being the quiet kid at school generally, and well having good hearing from band helps ;p.

 

And oh i didn't know thats what birth control did. Although i do think that the side affects almost seem more risky, if i were a girl i'd just rough it out like all the other girls anyways.

 

Some of the girls i know though seem to think guys are totally incapable of handling the pain, and frankly that just makes me think of them as prissy and annoying, aswell as making myself feel oddly inferior, and want to prove them wrong by going through like one of those birth pain simulators. I'd probably do it if it meant those girls shutting up.

Omg, i don't get that either, and I'm a freaking guy! Its digusting, i just get disgusting even seeing other guys do it like its nothing around me, i'm not like a germ freak or anything, but like its gross :/.

 

I understand you might have something in your mouth or idk whatever, but you don't just spit on the ground randomly, if your gonna do that atleast go in the bathroom or something.

 

But yeah, i agree with ya there, even as a guy. I don't do it, because its well disgusting to me atleast.

I guess, if anything, I don't really understand the fact that women tend to spend extra money to impress other women. I mean, when a wife goes out to eat with her husband, she doesn't "dress nice" to impress him, she dresses nice to impress others. Why, though? Most men would just as quickly go out to eat in a sweat-stained tee. Personally I like formal wear but I don't understand why someone would spend a lot more money just to have a brand-name outfit when there are outfits that fit just as well, look nice, and feel comfortable, for much less.

I don't understand the fear of men around children or why it's given predatory tones as often as it is. I'd sure hope men like children and find spending time with them fulfilling... they play a huge role in concieving, raising, and mentoring them!

I could understanding someone excusing themselves for a minute maybe to the bathroom or something if they got nasty stuff building up but constant spitting just seems gross and unnecessary to me. Somehow someway some knucklehead decided it was "cool" to do that and it stuck with some guys for some reason.

It is the whole "keeping up with the Joneses thing" and men do it too just in different ways than women do. For some reason alot of women seem to judge each other by appearance more harshly than men do, I am not saying that men don't do that as it is a universal human trait but there are some women who just take to another level. It just screams insecurity and is one of my biggest turn offs. I want a woman not a doll, there is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best but there is such a thing as overdoing it.

Yeah i don't really get it totally either. I mean i'm a guy and i love kids, but i'm not going to do anything. Sure some do, unfortunately, but i won't. 

 

because of this thing is probably alot of the reason guys don't babysit ever. Well partly also because they tend to be considered less responsible, and maybe just less skilled in taking care of children, but it plays a role.

 

Women could still just as easily do things to children realistically, so i dunno why men are the ones who are considered dangerous around children.

 

So yeah i agree, i dunno exactly why, i mean the way men are biologically it is i guess easier, and maybe because men aren't seen as nearly as loving as women with children, but thats not really a terribly accurate assumption, as again women could really just as easily abuse a child as men.

An 11 year update to my answer.

While I still generally agree with what I said about clothes needing to be more comfortable than good looking, I have learned the importance of presentation, and the confidence one exudes when done up, and can understand how some power through it.

That being said, comfort never has to be sacrificed when style factors quality. The best looking clothes don't just look amazing, they feel amazing. The suit I wore as a child was itchy. The one I wear as an adult, feels like silk pajamas.

And to end with an actual answer to the topic, I don't understand trends in skincare. Check out this new product that's essentially hyaluronic acid and salt water! Oh but don't miss out next month when we have hyaluronic acid in Agua with notes of sodium chloride.

It’s hard to answer this because I get entirely different readings of people based on whether they’re by themselves or in a group. But on the whole, many things I don’t understand about the male animal have little to do with their plumbing. Video games, cars, fixing stuff, etc. all seem to be part of the male identity. Granted, sex seems to occupy a large stretch of real estate in the male experience, and I can understand that they’re built with stronger drives than girls for a reason. But how they look at the opposite sex and the ways they approach it are often baffling to me. I’m sure men are often equally baffled by women. But such is the way people are designed. Figuring it all out is part of the fun.
