Did the writers just give us the first "Rainbow Dash likes girls" implication?

Rewatch this episode.  Now I know RD is clearly a Daring Do fangirl BUT!  This one scene..  Rainbow gives this face right after Daring Do makes a crack how  Auhiztol wishes he could marry her with that ring.  Now tell me this face doesn't scream "Aw yeah.  Maybe.."

That suggestive line combined this reaction... I dunno.

This might start a debate.  This isn't my intention.  All the lesbian jokes people made for the past 3 seasons I thought "There's no credence there".

This reaction at this moment was the first time I said "Yeah.  There's something going on"

I didn't think about anything lesbian when seeing this RD reaction in the episode, beyond subtitling it in my mind: "Mah gurl!", and then thinking to myself that this scene will start a shitload of new memes.

Well, imagine a celebrity or someone that you're really hyped up about, or even a book character you think is awesome that turns out to be real.  Now imagine meeting them.  Yeah, I think I'd hug them too (not in a weird way, but in a "OMG I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN EVAH" way). XD

I interpreted that scene as her going "nice comeback" in her head I don't know how you could get "hey maybe I have a chance" from that since daring do obviously is not going to like her arch enemy.

Okay, having finally watched the scene, I totally think Rainbow was just enjoying the hero/villain snark-flirting.

The Daring Do books likely have bits of dialogue like that all throughout them. Rainbow was probably just thinking, "Heehee!! Omigosh she's totally toying with him just like in the books!! *snicker* What a stinker!!" XDD

Yeah, she could've just thought it was a nice comeback like RainbowGlitter said. Or maybe she ships Ahuizotl and Daring Do haha (I doubt that though). Theres no way that she likes girls though. They wouldn't allow that, parents would be mad, and it would cause massive drama throughout the fandom. I didn't think much of that scene other than that she made the weirdest face ever. Really, the way her face is, looks like she thought that it was a clever comeback rather than anything else, at least in my opinion.
