What sounds do you like?

Crimson

Recommended Posts

The sound of meat sizzling on a grill.

Certain instruments (most string instruments [especially the violin], clarinet, pan flute, piano, pipe organ...)

Pen or mechanical pencil clicking.

Birds chirping away outside.

The sound of metal hitting metal (RPG games)

Train sounds. You know, the iconic horn, the bells, the "clunking" and the "chuffing" as it goes along the rails... Yeah, describing these sounds in words is a bit difficult...

I have never paid much attention to sounds I like, actually. But I sure do really dislike that ringing sound that I hear when it is really silent.

I guess I like guitar solos, gun sounds, footstep sounds,  sound of your heart beating you hear when you run or do something like that, and heavy breathing. I don't know, cool for some reason xD Adrenaline! I generally like heartbeat too.

I love the sounds of:

  • Fluttershy's squee sound. I love it so much that I use the L4D 2 mod for it.
  • Wind blowing through the leaves on trees.
  • Silence
  • My dog's collar jingling
  • My AC
  • Music

The screams of children bring me joy.

In all seriousness, though

American V8 engines screaming at 5,000+ RPM

VTEC kicking in yo

Thunder and the pitter patter of heavy rain on my roof

A slight breeze and the calls of birds

A cat purring and meowing

Gunshots (but only in an open field. It's very alarming to hear something that even resembles this in town...)

Pipe organs

String quartets

Pretty much any acoustic guitar that has a deep yet crisp tone (a good friend of mine recently acquired a Taylor guitar. He put a set of medium gauge Elixir strings on it, and it's one of the best sounding guitars I've ever heard)

Silence is the most scary sound on earth to me. It reminds me of how lonely I am. It makes me feel like an outsider.

I like the sounds of:
Rain
Thunder
Water Running

I love the sound wood blocks make when they knock together, high heels or hard shoes walking, the sound of the word "clock", the tongue-click sound...I really like solid, sturdy, well-rounded sounds...if that makes sense?
