Cashews come from a fruit... sort of.

The cashew is a nut many enjoy but know little about. The cashew tree is native to Brazil, and is an evergreen tree. It grows a fruit known as the cashew apple, though it happens to look more like a pear. At the bottom of the cashew apple is it's seed, the cashew nut, which resides in a tough shell. The cashew apple is very delicate, and is bruised very easily. It  has a sugary flavor, and it's juice can be used in drinks or distilled into liquor. Now enjoy your newfound knowledge and astound friends, family, and co-workers.

I never knew that cashews came from a fruit, it sounds really weird if you ask me. I guess if it comes from a cashew apple tree, it has to have a colorful flavor that can be used in drinks.
