Worst person you've dealt with at work

I forgot, there was actually one or two instances where customers legitimately ticked me off. If a customer is coming into the aisle I'm working looking for a product, to ask a question, etc., then that's fine. However, there were a couple of instances where customers, knowing I had work to do, decided to come into the aisle and stop and have a conversation with each other. One time I remember a large group, just stopping and having a conversation in the middle of my aisle. Another time I remember two middle aged women just stopping in an area of my aisle and conversing for a very long time. I couldn't get my work done.

Like does it hurt customers so much to maybe have their conversation right outside of the aisle in the middle of the store?

A short tempered senior co-worker who yells, cures and drops f-bombs at me if I disagree with him on something, then says he'll take things to HR, like it's some kind of threat. It's a night and day switch. Sometimes he's pleaseant and helpful. Other times he just goes ballistic. Usually I'm too tired to care, so I just walk away and get back to work. Thankfully it's few and far between, but I'm still wary.

For a brief time we also had someone from another department. Big, tall dude with a perpetual scowl on his face. Not only intimidating, but he was also slow, didn't listen to direction very well and was also short tempered. Got into fights with the first guy I mentioned, which was why he was shunted over to me.

Other than that, just the customers at my last job. Bunch of ignorant disrespectful brats, the lot of them. randomly move items across the store. Leave shopping carts in bizarre places. Then fill those carts with trash. And take any recommendations made like a personal insult. The audacity of an experienced employee knowing what's best.

Sometimes it's actually in the procedure of what we're supposed to do as baggers. Item X does not go with Y. And both X and Y are to be bagged separate from Z. Pointed this out to a customer and pretty much said that my store can 'Go f:mellow:k itself.' Which by extension, was telling me to do the same. Pissed me off enough to just get the bagging done, not bother with the customary 'have a nice day' and just storm away in order to cool off.

I was working on a bridge job in Fresno a couple years ago, and the foreman hired some new apprentice off the list. Supposedly this guy was a 7th period apprentice, meaning that he was nearing becoming a journeyman, but he didn't know the proper way to drive a nail, needed detailed instruction on how to do the simplest things, and constant supervision. Because he didn't know how to do anything and his work was dick, he was put on cleanup duty, which he did as slowly as possible. Got fired after a week when he was caught smoking weed on the job site.

His name was Gerome. Don't be a Gerome.

the most frustrating one was my boss of my first job,it was a bakery and he would hover above me and count the susame seeds i put, telling me to be more exact,or be faster when i was more exact, his bright example for speed was his son,who also worked there, and just took a handful and put it on(never being even close to the standards of percision i was put through)he was extremely stingy in general, and i pitty whoever works there now.

The worst people are the people who do not even try. For example, let's say I'm a dishwasher and someone is serving people and putting plates in the back of the restaurant for me to clean. They just throw the plates on the table and don't even put the food in the trash. Those are the worst people.

I had a boss who loathed me because I just started out, and i was already getting HIS bosses attention. My boss got real mad that his bosses liked me over him and took it out on me. Due to him being in a union, he couldnt be fired. I was just told "sometimes in life, you're gonna work with those types of people.". Thats fine and all, but soon it affected my working and mental health.

I soon found out that this particular boss of mine was a sucker for popularity among his peers. So I got in good with the people he tried to impress so that anytime he did something wrong to me, it felt like he was doing something wrong to his idols. It worked...even though it sounds kinda....messed up when i type it out.

Immediate boss, was unhelpful or combative the few times I asked for help. The one time he brought someone else on board to help me, the person bailed after three days yet still got paid what I'd been owed for months. Eventually I got permanent help, turned out to be someone with entirely different ideas on how to do things than me, and would never talk about it. He bided his time until I left in anger and depression, now the place is a dump. Oh, excuse me, actually it's better than when "that other dude" aka me was running it.

I am a shift manager and deal with co workers I dislike a lot. I have my stories of having the people I am in charge of not doing their work; even to the point of having to stay with them after closing hours to make sure they get it done. My least favorite co worker is an elderly woman that likes to talk too much. I dislike socializing very much, but this woman literally talks non stop through my entire shift with her. Granted I only have a part time job, but you have to be at least winded after five to six hours of straight talking to me and every customer that enters and exits the store...

Pretty much the occasional hot head customer, when I worked at a small engine shop. You could tell them apart right when they walk in the door.

Oh boy, some of the ones I had to deal with.

When i sold suits I worked in a commission based area. But in order to get any commission you had to reach a sales quota for the day. As a result there was competition. One of the salespeople would just steal all the sales. He would actually run across the sales floor to beat you to a customer.

His name was Yvon. I called him Yvon the Terrible.

And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!

Lets just say my past employment had the most sh*t-tastic management ever to behold. Basically when I gave issue none of them would be addressed and fixed. I could deal with the rotten ignorant customers, because at the end of the day they will get whats coming to them one way or another.

I used to work customer service at a call center, so I have far too many bad customer stories to count. There were the people who would call ten minutes before closing and expect service now, people who threatened to go to the media if I didn't fulfill a service we no longer offered, the dreaded "Let me speak to your Manager" callers when I knew my Manager would tell them the exact same thing word for word and many more.

One of the worst though was when I got a call from a woman "claiming" to be from the bank and expected me to give her personal information regarding a customer, despite being unable to produce any proof she had been given permission to access said information on his behalf. When I told her no, she completely flew off the handle at me and called me an idiot when I tried to turn it around on her and asked her if I just walked into her bank and asked for personal client information, would she give it to me? To this day I believe she was trying to scam us for some reason.
