Ah yes, noobs. If you don't know what a noob is, its someone who is new at something like a game or dancing or etc etc. In other words your just not good at it and you are new to it.

Now I love online games! Just love them! Gears of war 3 is my number 1 game! I have not stopped playing it since i got it the day it came out, that was ahh 2 years ago. Now I have been playing gears of war since the very first one came out so I'm no noob to the game.

My K/d is 7.3 with a W/L of 3.5. not bad in my book! but sadly with good players like me there are going to be noobs.... a lot of them one to many in my book. So I would love to hear what you think about noobs.

Me? I can't stand them in gears of war!! Why? because gears is hard to play. Can't just pick it up and start to play... need to know how to wall bounce, need to know what power weapons to pick up, need to know how to use them, need to know how to get active reloads etc etc.

So its kind of hard on me to play with noobs, because they pick a power weapon... and then die with it or kill them selves with it... then we have one less spawn and now the other team has it... wonderful!

Now don't get me wrong, I don't dislike noobs. We all have to start some where. Anyway so lets hear it! what do you think of noobs and do you like them? or dislike them? or even go so far as to say hate them...

Filthy casuals are the bane of my existence. Like that one time a Wisp carry teleported my teammate into a place where he was unable to escape and we lost.

This is why no one is allowed to play Wisp carry except me. c:

Nah, I don't mind them too much, since I suck at a lot of games, but I'm more concerned when they do bad and then get pissy and feed the other team. :c

im great at halo, im usually the guy who carries our team through the match so we dont look so bad. before i went to xbox one (360 isnt plugged in  :( )

i usually have double the amount of kills as my team put together. i realise i sounded like a dick when i said that. but the teams i am put in never really work as teams, i try to help by killing the enemies that are about to kill them and just killing them in general so we have a higher chance of winning.

I don´t like those words a bit...even if i´ve played online games like 8 years.  I wish only that *Gamers* were a lot nicer to beginner players even it might a bit long draged gameplay or match.

I think that playing a game in any sort of cooperative mode should require a license.

For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out.

And I'm just getting started.

I didn't like GoW3. Multiplayer was a clusterbuck of sawn-off shotguns at release.

I think the first game nailed the skill aspect. GoW2 was pretty cool if you were good with a gnasher and knew how to wall bounce.

As for casuals, let them have their fun. We were all new to gaming once.

Never played Gears, but I did hear it was hard to play (would love to play it sometime though!).  I usually play Halo because nowadays I can't stand playing COD because people either hack or I die the second I join.  I'm good at Halo and actually find it quite annoying when my team sucks and I'm the only one doing good.  Someone was jumping in a corner...  Ugh.  Sadly, it seems a lot of people who play Halo/COD nowadays are like 10 years old, which really pisses me off.  It's called mature for a reason, dang it!

I'm fine with beginner players who don't really know what they're doing. I will say though that it's surprisingly common it is in Battlefield 4 for a Helicopter pilot with a full helicopter of passengers to be flying just fine, when all of a sudden he crashes and kills us all, or flies out of bounds and gets us all killed in action. It's kind of annoying actually.

They don't really bother me unless my entire team is ONLY noobs, then I leave the game. It's not as much rage quitting as it is quitting before I get so angry that I hurt myself by hitting my head against the keyboard.

I'm just a casual player. Most hardcore players tend to hate that, but hey, I have hobbies.

Course, it doesn't help that I usually sit down to play after like...six beers and counting. And then once I get a good buzz the hardcore kids yell at me. And then I can't stop laughing. It's a never ending, amusing cycle.

Now, I mostly run into them in fighting games since that's mostly what I play, and I actually like seeing newbies around. It's just nice to know there's more people getting into the game. I don't really like to play them though; I feel bad when I constantly beat them down, I don't want to break them, and I'm no good at going easy on people. But once they level up from newbie to scrub, everything's fine since I'm pretty scrubby at the game too, usually.

Edit: I guess I should say that though scrub and noob are kind of interchangeable these days (at least for some people), I was using scrub in a half-joking, self-mocking kind of way. In other words, I may not be new to the game or a noob in the insulting sense, but I'm definitely not good compared to the top players in the scene.
