Would be amazing! IMO. I would love to see Saddle Arabia, Fillydelphia, More Princesses, CMC Grown Up, New Dimensions, Twilight Full Grown (Celestia or Luna size) and more! i would love to see those in show. I think show would end after they are out of ideas

There has been plenty of series that have ran for a long time that are still great.

I don't know what everyone is getting bent up about. Personally I think season 4 is great overall with a couple episodes that where just ok in between. I see a lot of people drawing parallels to SpongeBob but I don't think the show will end up like that. Our team of voice actors and writers love doing what they are doing, and if this stays the same for the other 5 seasons I think everything just fine.

This actually isn't true... SpongeBob's creator is STILL on the show. He works in the capacity of an executive producer; he never actually left, he just relieved himself of his creative duties. It had nothing to do with him growing tired of it. 

 

The reason SpongeBob went downhill was because the movie WAS supposed to end the series, and Nickelodeon was bad with organization, so by the time they renewed the show for Season 4, the original writing crew for Seasons 1-3 were already gone and on other projects. Consequently, we had a more-or-less new writing crew for post-movie seasons (a lot of Season 4 episodes were leftovers from Season 3 though). 

 

Sorry to rant, it's just annoying to see people always rag on SpongeBob about how it went down and they don't actually watch it anymore. Season 8 and 9 have actually been very good seasons. I highly recommend Eek An Urchin, Ghoul Fools, The Krabby Patty That Ate Bikini Bottom, Planet of the Jellyfish, etc. Season 2-3 quality stuff.

Same difference, it still spawned from forcing a show that the creator wanted to end to go on.

But what scares me, is that they are few compared to the ones who did declined. Well, since season 4 kept up with the expectations, I feel relieved that the possible decline is far from happening, and hopelly won't happen at all. So long as the quality of the show stays excellent like it is now, then I'm not worried one bit. People are drawing parallels to Spongebob a lot saying that MLP will eventually turn into that show. I for 1 know for a fact that the show will never go that route. I have full faith that the writers and staff will continue to produce quality episodes that we can enjoy  .

 

With 5 more years of MLP, I'm hoping that we can finally get a full on FIM movie to hit theaters. Hasbro would rake in so much money if they did this.

I think at some point Hasbro and TV show DHX is going to have to go past the Adobe flash and go right into GFX/CGI animations using real 3D models, Also their going to have to match and surpass the current Source File maker 3d Models to be affective. (Im a huge fan of SFM 3D Pony Models V2.) And they can only get better as people keep added more Polygons and Vectors. (Youtube TwiDash Hearts and hooves day)

I could  totally dig MLP in the style that Square-Enix used on FF Vii Advent Children.. now that was solid CGI/GFX  animations

MLP G4 could have a 70% chance of ending up like sponge Bob   
Reasons :

Adobe Flash can only do some much on the technical lvl, Also store telling in a 23min span can only go so far (look at how stale Simpsons is when u look at the story telling) (same true with southpark and many other tv shows)

There's a reason why tv show only try to aim for 3-8 season max. any thing more and it gets old quick. Also leave the viewer with a negative impression.

-DR house after season 5 started to go down imo
-Prison Break had the right idea of 4 + final movie
-FullHouse was 8 Seasons and rightly soo

-Roswell at 3 season.

-Home Improvement (see full House) they both had  the same principles and idea )

-Fresh Prince   @ 6 Seasons
-Sons of Anarchy @ 4 Season

i don't if i should be happy or i should be sad that they might kill the series , just got to hope they don't but if they don't yay! they could make the series 20% cooler but i don't think can but i should probably see what the new episodes are like before i complain

Feeling skeptical, I guess 5 years of more ponies is all too much. But, I still have faith in humanity that it'll still give out quality episodes. S4 is great so far, just not as great as S1 or S2, but WAAY better than S3.

So why do we even care if a show lives past it's prime? "Well Spongebob sucks now". Keyword there is "now". The older episodes didn't go bad because the new episodes aren't as good.

 

So let the people making this show be ballsy and see how long they can keep the quality up. They may surprise you and keep it fresh for a lot longer than you expected. If they just stopped altogether for fear that they might make a bad season, then we'll simply never know if they still had another good season in them, and if they did, then we'll have missed out on it.

 

If it does start to suck, then just move on to something else and pop out the DVDs of the good seasons every now and then when you want some nostalgia.

I'm going to have to start a thread about comparing the seasons with one another. Personally, I think they've all been great, even 3. I do hope that they'll be allowed to end the series gracefully when the time comes- but I also hope that so long as there are stories to tell and they're still passionate about telling them, that they'll keep going.

Also, I know that people are saying that Spongebob has ended up being bad, and yes, I agree with that BUT, we need to remember that Spongebob and My Little Pony are two different shows, with two different plots, and very different characters, so yes, Spongebob ended up not being very good, they're not the same shows, and we have no idea what the producers/writers/creators have up their sleeves for these next few years, who knows? They might surprise us and we may end up with better seasons than the first ones, or even the best ones! You just never know, so, I say that we all just hope for the best and play it by ear!

It's come this far with our continued support so who's to say that it can't go any further and achieve even greater heights?

Hasbro announced that they have made plans for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic to last another 5 years. If one 26 episode Season airs per year: then 5 seasons equals to 130 more MLP episodes, that equal to about 2,990 more minutes of pony content (not including some more movies maybe.)

Guys, guys. Just because something runs a long time doesn't mean it's going to get bad. Doctor Who anyone? That show has been running for damn a century and it's still good.

To be fair, not everyone would agree with you on that.  Personally, I hate that show, and the original stuff reminded me of a bad copy of the Twilight Zone.  Also, it's only been around for half of a century.

I don't know if I'm the only one here who thinks this, but I think if it just ended the way it is, there wouldn't be a fandom anymore. No more episodes, no more new art, no more new music, etc. etc. So I think we should just sit back and let Hasbro do what they do, and enjoy the episodes until they decide it's time to end it. I don't know why our fandom is fussing over more episodes, isn't this a my little pony fandom? I'm sorry if I disrespected anyone, sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a strong opinion I hold.

I'm excited for Season 5, but at the same time, I'm a little concerned. What is every episode of Season 5 going to be about? Could MLP:FiM go downhill like Spongebob did? Could this be the end of anything good coming out of the My Little Pony franchise?
