Diet Coke is disgusting. I prefer just the regular Coca Cola or Coke Zero Sugar. The difference is like night and day.

In the last month it’s been so HOT here in Texas. And I’ve been really craving soda (and caffeine since I work nights). I am already trying to cut back on sugar though, so I’ve been trying various diet sodas, just to see which I like.

As far as Coke is concerned, I definitely like Coke Zero more than Diet Coke.

Who doesn't like Aspartame and Acesulfame K?

 

It's disgusting..... Well, until you taste your drink without sugar at all. Diet drinks taste awful, but they do taste "sweet". And soft drinks should taste sweet.

 

I asked my diabetes doctor if I could at least enjoy Xylitol...... No was the answer. Just because it is sugar free doesn't mean it is sugar based. So I am not even allowed to eat my toothpaste!!! Noooooooooo!

 

However, the Diet Coke destroys my teeth because of the carbonated water.

 

But do I like the taste? No, it's because the Coca-Cola taste is lost when sodium phosphates is added. it's as simple as that. If you are going to have Aspartame and Acesulfame K in there, you can't just use the main Coca-Cola flavor phosphoric acid without people exploding.
