No. It depends on bullets to function. If you dont have both, its useless. And if you do have both, its only a matter of time before you run out of bullets. A sword, however, can always be used til broken. Though, you will require training to use it effectively. Actually... Which is the mightier? The gun. Which is more useful? The sword.
