FIM has gotten better since Lauren Faust left. Do you agree?

The show is fine. I personally like all seasons of it. I don't see why people say that the show has gone downhills

Personally, I like season 4 much more than season 1 & 2, so I kinda agree with that statement. But I can't help and feel bad for Lauren, because her ideas were good and it's a shame Hasbro didn't let her use a lot of them. Some things in season 3 & 4 would be probably better, if they decided to still consult things with her. She created these characters and she knows how they should act. I'm a writer and I know that when you create the characters you feel some kind of connection with them. You have ideas and plans for them, which just... feel right. It must have been really hard for her to watch how they change her ideas and characters mainly to earn more money.

While I love season 4 and season 3 has some episodes, which I could call "the best in a whole series" (Wonderbolts Academy, Hurricane Fluttershy) - I'd probably like it more if she was still there to sometimes add something from herself.

I'm not on the whole the show is going downhill train. I think the show is still great. Yeah some of the choices Hasbro has made have been questionable but I've still found the show to remain consistently good.

But I'm not saying that! In fact I'm saying the exact opposite. It's gotten better since Faust left!

I wouldn't know if it would've made a huge difference. However, I do wonder how it would turn out if Lauren decided to give it another go now that the fanbase has grown so much.

Season 3 was probably the most iffy in my opinion. The thing about Season 4 is that it's a pseudo return to what Lauren had in mind for the show in the first place, which is tightly woven character arcs in a world of adventure. The show is still predominantly slice of life but we have more consistent characterization and an overreaching plot, the box thing.

The show getting better doesn't mean that the show got better because she left...

Indirectly, it does. Since Lauren Faust is no longer part of the team, the ones still working there (and some new ones) make the storyboards/ideas instead. But yeah, it doesn't directly mean the show got better as she left. Sounds offending as well :P

No, it doesn't.  It could have gotten even better with her there.  Also, Lauren didn't just take command and do everything herself... the same people contributed ideas.  So many of the same scripts would still have been created, just under her direction.  For all we know all the flop episodes that everybody had issues with would have been the ones she would have stepped in and came up with better ideas for.  There's a huge difference between correlation and causation.  There's nothing to tell us that the show would have been worse with her there, so it's simply an issue of correlation.

I been told she dropped out after season 1, since the characters evolved and developed in the past three years that would pretty much label her work outdated and inconsistent enough for me to form a solid opinion. No doubt the show would most likely take a route for the greater good in place of her decision to remain as executive producer.

It's definitely changed, but not for the better or worst. As long as they don't do something way to drastic (like get rid of a character), I don't really care if it changes a bit.

I think they should do a follow up to wonderbolts academy, you with me?

Sure! Especially after Rainbow Falls! This episode portrayed Wonderbolts as total jerks. For me it was painful to watch and I almost stopped hoping that some day Rainbow would become their member. Wonderbolts Academy was very solid and I wish to see more episodes like that one.

Season 1 and 2 were great. It had a real good zany element to the series and good lines for a chuckle.

All the cast and not just Pinkie Pie could get caught up in the zaniness to become the joke.

Also the friendship among the Mane 6 was more rougher which allowed them to take jabs at each other from time to time.

Twilight has more stand out flaws in Season 1 and 2. She was also capable of being the joke from time to time.

Rarity sticking her head in garbage to just lie to Pinkie Pie.

I would've never noticed she left if I never read about it online. I watched all 3 seasons initially on Netflix about a year ago for the first time. I just assumed she worked on all 3 seasons, as they all felt similar to me. Season 4 feels similar as well.

To be honest, I think the show is just as good as when it was when Lauren was on. :)

(Not better, not worse. Just as awesome as ever)

Well here comes me in with the statistics again. Lauren Faust did technically leave after S2 started (Well, stepped down from the head of it all under Hasbro of course). And S2 is considered the favorite season of the bronies. But S1 was great as well (I liked 2 more though) and many others still enjoy S1. I think Lauren Faust is still the most important person to have ever worked on the show though, cuz if you watch the extended interviews from the documentary (sold separately), Lauren Faust did a LOT for the show. It was her who really pushed the story writers and animators to break the stereotypes of girl shows "having" to be all cute and gental. She really pushed them to put in the scary monster, to really show emotion on a face when a character falls on it's head. Plus she helped put in all the references that is a big reason in which so many of us watch the show. If it weren't for her, I do not believe the fandom would exist here today, or at least not as big as it is.

At this point the show is fine.  I don't want to say 20% better since Lauren left, but there are some good and bad episodes.  However, its okay,

It seems like Lauren's approach was to have the Mane 6 pace their friendship buildup slowly. No character is perfect and the friendships are rough around the edges.

The show is still as consistent when Lauren was writing episodes and when she was involved with the show. I'd say that the show has improved from the first three seasons to what we have now, with the same factors that convinced us to watch the show in the first place. Moving on from the past is always a step to awareness, I'd say that the show is still the same since Lauren left.
