What Mane 6 Character Would You Want To Go Bad?

I know people are very reluctant to even think about one character leaving her friends. I only have simple guidelines.

 

What caused her to go bad?

Which supporting character, heroine or villain was responsible?

Do The Elements of Harmony continue to work?

Can she be redeemed?

How would people like Discord or Chrysalis react to such a thing? Would they take advantage of it?

 

It's a cliche I enjoy in cartoons and they can pull this off in a fun way for kids if they wanted to.

Well, through the discord chaos of season 2, we've pretty much seen how they will act for the most part.

 

Though, with twilight being a princess and all, seeing her turn evil with these new powers would be cool.

That being said, having trouble thinking of a believable way for it to happen, other than magical mindhax or something similar.

 

I suppose she could try to enforce kindness and end up a dictator with a twisted view of what kindness is, but she's way too weak willed for something like that. Especially after the whole assertiveness lessons thing went bad, I think she'd be even more reluctant to go down that road.

 

Personally, I loved the simplicity of Discorded Fluttershy. She was just a bitch for the sake of being a bitch. Amusing, but not good villain material.

 

 

Evil Twilight would be much more interesting. I could see her power and apprehension over being a good ruler messing with her head. Mind you, I haven't seen most of S4 yet, so I'm not sure how she's progressed from the first few episodes.

I would want Twilight Sparkle to go bad, so I'll answer the questions:

 

• What caused her to go bad, was Chrysalis sending her hive to feed on Celestia's love where she was left in a unconscious state. So, Twilight had to become evil with Chrysalis so that she could avenge her mentor.

• Sadly, the Elements of Harmony won't work without all of them being active.

• They would take advantage by taking over all of Equestria.

That's a tuffy.  As the chairman of team bad guy, i don't want all of them

cause you need a good guy. 

 

It comes down to flutter shy and rarity to me.

 

Flutter shy because she offers so little as a good guy,

and rarity cause she'd be rule as a villain.  The comic sure thinks so.

 

It boils down to i think rarity would have more range as a bad guy,

and flutter rage would get old, sooner than later.

 

the problem with turning rarity bad it would leave a pretty big hole in the main cast.

 

And i sure don't want maud filling that.
NOoooooooo, no, no one pie is already to much LOL.

 

If only their was someone great and powerful and blue, and liked crackers, and penut butter who could step in

as most fabulous pony.

Honestly, I wouldn't want any of them going bad. I like them all too much

Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy would be the best choices, though, in my opinion

Twilight without a doubt, the deus ex machina with her able to learn dark magic near effortlessly in the season 3 opener kind of bugged me. I get that she is extremely gifted and is (or was) the element of magic but dark magic is extremely dangerous even in skilled hands so the odds of corruption are quite high. It also possible that she could be possessed, I would love to see her possessed by King Sombra in particular. The corruption would help with a lot of the Mary Sue vibes of the alicorn twilight and perhaps even be a mistake on Celestia part, perhaps she thought she was ready but might not have been.

An evil Rarity or Rainbow Dash would be interesting. We've seen quite enough evil Fluttershy. And Pinkie Pie, which obviously inspired Cupcakes. And Twilight Sparkle, which surprisingly didn't inspire any crazy nasty fanfics.

I know that's dodging the question, but yeah, that's my answer. It would be interesting to see all 6 tempted by something in an episode, but in the end I would like to see them all resist.

A dark Twilight would be interesting and as one suggested great for a Sombra return storyline.

I, for one would love to see a Dark Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and/or Rarity.  That would be cool to see, IMO.

-Twilight should be the one to go bad if any. 

-She stumbles upon and is corrupted by King Sombra's horn while traveling to Saddle Arabia on royal duty. The horn would draw her in with its dark magical residue (think similar magic to the Door of Fears).

-Elements can't function without Twilight.

-She wouldn't have to be redeemed, because it wasn't her choice to turn evil.

-Chrysalis wouldn't be involved, and Discord would respond with condescending remarks like "Oooo, I like this new side of you, Princess. Very intimidating." He wouldn't play an active role in the resolution, but might throw out helpful clues (in riddle-form) to the other five girls.

Um, I guess if I had to pick a character to "go bad", I would pick Rarity.

 

Mostly to develop the whole "Nightmare Rarity" thing from the comics.

Twilight definitely. I was hoping Twilight would end up being a villain in EqG2, but apparently that'd be too awesome for Hasbro to let happen.
