Petition: Get Spike and Rarity together!

Hello fellow bronies! I've been a part of this forum for quite some time now, however I haven't been active. I want to start getting active since I feel I need to be in a place where I can talk about ponies and meet new friends! So, to kick it off, I'm here today to advertise a petition for Hasbro to get Spike and Rarity to date! I mainly did this for fun, but I also wanted to see how many people would support it, and to let the Sparity crowd voice their opinion. If you want to support it, click the link below! If you do not want to support it, please disregard. Let's see if we can make the soul mates get together! (It will ask you to put in an address, however it will not display it publicly. I thought it'd be fun, just to see how many, and who, would support it.

Okay, this is coming from the perhaps... second biggest - don't want to claim the first place for me - Sparity fan (and that will probably make it sound... contradictory to what I'd like to see in the show) here on the forums: That wouldn't and won't work. Simple as that.

 

And I don't want it to work that way anyway. It's the writers' and Hasbro's job to bring change to the show, not ours; and especially not to make them do things as big of a change as that.

 

Even though I'd really like to see it happen...

- Rarity has only shown interest in Stallions

Not the most out there couple though, I just don't see the writers going anywhere with it. Then again Jim Henson made a frog and a pig horny for each other and no one said that was sick or wrong,

This is SO not happening. Unfortunately, there is no way for this to work in the show unless they make Spike grow up (for real this time, and still through the magical nature of dragons) or make Rarity wait for him. Which is plausible, since the characters won't really age anyway, but the message this sends would enrage so many people it's just not going to happen, not to mention that people are going to go ballistic on the fact that they are different species to begin with. 

 

Personally, I'll lend my support. Because I'm a fool that likes Sparity with a passion.

Much as I love the two of them, I don't think it should happen that way. If anything, I think they should simply keep up with what they have, a special friendship with a few moments shared only by them, while both of them realize, deep down, it can't really happen.

Petitions don't actually do anything and no, I don't support this. Spike's crush is cute and fun to watch but Rarity doesn't like him that way. I would however, like to see more of his crush.

I don't think the writers will do it just because you start a petition. Although I will say the running gag that nobody Rarity likes returns the interest in her and how Spike still likes her is good signs. But if it ever happens it will happen around the end of the show's life.

I don't think Hasbro/MLP:FIM is very serious about a romantic relationship between Spike and Rarity. It's played more for laughs, and is meant to be viewed as a silly crush- not as something serious.

I'm sorta hoping that it doesn't officially happen either. I'd prefer Spike finding another dragon that he likes and Rarity finding a pony that she likes.

I wouldn't say that a petition could guarantee that what you are trying to achieve will happen, but nice enthusiasm though. I support the shipping though.
