Because it's a great show

@Woohoo - you too??? I was literally just watching it today. @Justin_Case001 even made a reference to it that I needed to observe.

I think the show is special because instead of focusing on talking babies or magic it was just.... chill. About school life and regular events in social structures similar to New York life growing up. 0:

Because I only started watching the G5 episodes recently, when I hear Izzy Moonbow, pretty much just Strawberry Shortcake as a Pony.😁

Heck as some G4 MLP folks work on SBSC Berry in the Big City, they share similar terms like berry instead of people.

It's for me to focus on myself and my immediate situation. No more worrying about what I can't control.

I've been feeling this lately. It's so easy to focus or worry about the future, that we sometimes just forget to think about the present moment. :rarity:

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I'm curious whether or not the continued trending of FiM on Netflix (still rather high in the top charts) long after the series has ended, and the relatively little attention the G5 content receives, is going to make Hasbro rethink their approach to the new generation, and whether or not G5's difference in approach (as well as some differences seen in their other ongoing franchises) is the reason they scrapped everything and are starting their own Hasbro Entertainment division.

Why has everything decided to stop working at the exact same time?!

Oh, wasn't sure if anyone kept up or gave up expecting any new comics for MLP FiM to still come out, but they are doing another Classics Reimagined as of this week.  This time their take on The Wizard of Oz:

Also next week, they're doing Summer one shots of some regulars.  Sonic the Hedgehog, MLP G5 and the Dungeons & Dragons mini.

Guessing AJ or whoever Dorothy is will end up with Ruby Horseshoes.

I'm thinking about what makes me like G4 over G5, happened to start thinking about this while looking at the design of the forums here.

I think the art style and setting of G4 are the biggest things for me. MYM has shown that the writing staff are capable of coming up with interesting stories, so I don't think that's the issue.

There's something to me about the somewhat bleak modern landscape of the G5 universe that I just don't care that much for. The only time I cared much for the scenery was the bridlewoodstock episode and some of the shots we've had of opaline's castle/surrounding landscape. I definitely think the somewhat whimsical village setting of ponyville is a lot homier and a lot more alluring/enchanting - contrasted by the concrete town in G5. It's the same reason I never cared too, too much for Manehattan either I think. I see concrete and asphalt every day of my life, but the enchanting small town of ponyville with the whimsical architecture and shops really hit a chord for me.

Those are some great points You've just brought up. The problem is, G5 continues the current trend of trying to make things appealing to young audience by simply making them "modern". People who came up with that miss the fact that Friendship is Magic, when it BLEW UP was not reflecting technological state of our society. If anything, it was showing a much simplier life with a little bit of magic and society being built around wholesomeness and love with the biggest problems of our world becoming a rarity that's easy to fix.

I am happy for everyone, who enjoys G5, honestly. I am happy to see that ponies continue and while some people like to say that the fandom is over... it actually is far from over. But personally I enjoy Friendship is Magic far more, it gives a lot of piece of mind from what stresses I need to handle in personal life, even as an adult, who's supposedly "too old" for such things.

As for what I am thinking about?

Today's been a long day for me. Long, but a good day. I feel like I am finally finding my ways around some things that took much of my energy away and can begin real work on some things I neglected c:

I completely agree, it seems to be a continuing trend with all modern animated shows. I still hold out hope that maybe G6 or something Hasbro will have come around and realized what made FiM special and try to capitalize on that.
