What type of fan are you?

Ha. Very moderate fan here, I guess. I watch the new episodes every week, and that's mostly it. Once in a while I'll watch an older ep, but not often. I don't have any merch and I don't plan on ever owning any. I don't write fanfiction, and I've only read maybe 4 fics. I do sometimes draw, but only as doodles as a distraction. I'll read some threads to see some discussion, but I don't watch analysis videos. Never been to a con. And I haven't really spoken to anyone else in the fandom =\

Don't get me wrong, though - I do like the show and the fandom! And Rarity. But most of my time is spent fanatically obsessing over other things. Not better things, just other things :)

I'm pretty casual about it. I think about it randomly through the day, but I don't obsess over it.

It's really not that much more that a great cartoon that I am a fan of, but I would like to buy a bit of merch soon.

I'm a peripheral fan.

I exist on the outer fringes of the fandom, not wanting to get too close for fear of being ridiculed that I don't love the show enough/love it too much.

I have nothing in common with anyone save a love for the show, and that isn't even enough sometimes to form any kind of friendship.

I lurk on forums and in RP chats because nothing I have to say is important enough or is ignored outright.

I'm going back out to the fringes now.

I don't cosplay, barely have any merchandise, rarely read fanfics.......Dammit! I'm a boring fan. I say "Ooh, ponies I love 'em. I'll talk about 'em aaaaaaaaannnnnnddddddddd......that's it." Nah, but I just love good animated shows/movies in general.

I'm half and half:

I'm half Clopper (not gonna go into detail regarding that; should be painfully obvious)

And half grim-dark (I love gore and find lots of humor in mutilation and extremely violent torturer. Loved Cupcakes, Loved Smile HD, Loved Sweet Apple Massacre, and some other extreme grimdark story that i can't remember of the top of my head. There just something about watching my favorite characters (and Rainbow Dash) getting slaughtered that i really enjoy.)

I'm not sure.

I have merchandise (plushes, wallets, shirts), I listen to the show music on my IPod and some brony music, I have OC's, I watch the show a lot, stuff like that.

Is that your average brony? I'm not sure.

I'm a devoted fan that decided to contribute to the fandom. I can't draw, and I'm not a musician, but I have a bit of a talent for writing *Gasp* erotica. I wrote a ten chapter 84K word novel length story that has been quite well received, but I can't give the title or links here.

Yes, it's a SERIOUS clop-fic! PM me if you're curious.

I'm a pretty avid fan. My collection of pony merchandise isn't really all that large, and I don't really talk about the show except here on the forums of course!

I watch the new episode when it comes out each week, and I check EQD and deviantArt everyday for my daily Pony fix.

I can't remember the last time I went through a day without seeing anything pony related on the internet  :umad:

I'm new at MLP but I do tend to how shall I say go overboard when I decide I like something?  I'm disappointed in the merchandise but almost glad because not having a great variety saves me some money!

I love the show and the lessons.  And Hello Kitty never got me to join a forum.  So I guess that says it all.

I stick around for some friends, a few select fanfictions, the fanmusic, and Sweetie Belle. Other than that I couldn't really care less about the show.

well lets see, I think I would classify myself as the stereotype fan...I am over 30...and I still live at home!

but besides that I am really into fan fiction, love the art, not too big on the toys and such though (except my twilight plush!) and am still loving and watching the show

don't have any brony friends yet though, maybe start working on that!

A really REALLY almost obsessed happy and loyal MLP fan who just can't get enough of the show and Pinkie Pie

My boyfriend is utterly obsessed with Pinkie. For Valentine's, he specifically asked for a Pinkie Plushie. And now he freaks out if he can't find it (he usually loses it in the covers when he sleeps). -le sigh-

I enjoy watching the show and some of the brony-made vids on YT (finally watched the Pony Anthologies the other day). I like seeing all the pony-crossovers with other shows or characters. I'm still brand new to interacting with other Bronies and Pegasisters. Still pretty secretive about my love of MLP outwardly though.

However, I DID tell my sister and my 3 nieces who love MLP that I love the show. My nieces loved hearing that! It gives me something to talk with them about! haha I have sat and watched episodes with them and they even got me to watch an episode of the Tinker Bell show, which was surprisingly witty! (As a bonus, one of the characters, Fawn, is voiced by America Ferrera, who voices Astrid in How to Train Your Dragon, which is my favorite movie ever, of all time).

I still need to tell the brony who got me started on MLP that I'm now a brony myself...he doesn't know. He'll be so excited. haha Then I'll never hear the end of the "I KNEW you would love it"s and the "I told you so"s.

Don't really have that much merch, read fanfics only from time to time, but I keep up with the show and do write a bit myself. I'm planning a Soarin cosplay so there's also that.  In it since the beginning and probably one of the lasts ones to leave if it ever ends.  I guess I'm just one of those types of fans.

MY favorite is in my avatar!

I am the kind of fan whom will never buy any merchandise, go to conventions, admit to any friends, family or anything like that he watches MLP and if accussed I will lie about it and say I do not!

I will not look at pony porn (tried the furry thing, it just don't do anything.).

From 1 to 5, I would pick a solid 4.75.

I'm always in the mood to talk pony, and I would consider myself somewhat obsessed with the show.

I love the ponies, and they've helped me in more life situations than I can count.

I love them, really.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm an UNHEALTHY brony. Whenever I get obsessed with something in general, I'm really obsessed...too obsessed. I buy every piece merchandise as much as I can afford and decorate my room with it. I can't go anywhere without wearing pony unless I'm forced to wear something formal. I've been obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean for 10 years, still am. I LOVED Hello Kitty as a kid. I was a fan of FullMetal Alchemist for maybe a year and a half or two and then I became a brony. Been a brony for two years and I'm still going. I also just got into Frozen.

I contribute to the fandom with art, cosplay, and attending conventions..

My cider brings all the ponies to the yard and they're like its better than yours, damn right it's better than yours. I can teach you, but I have to charge

A pretty big fan, I 'spose. x)

Will not wear flamboyant merch, though.
