Manfred von Karma was the prosecutor, which one would you choose? Although Twi seems like the obvious choice, due to how much she would study law before the trial, I think I would have to go with AJ. Because she would be most likely to be able to withstand Manfred's ruthless prosecuting style (other than RD and Pinkie Pie, although RD would likely start calling him chump, among other names, and end up being held in contempt of court) and she's actually pretty smart. She would likely have the jury eating out of her hoof, because everypony knows that AJ is (almost) always honest. Plus, I love her accent and the way she talks <3

 

Here's what I think the strengths of each pony would be

 

Twi - Studies nonstop to solve problems and has magic

Rarity - Has magic, and also has connections and money. She could probably make the prosecutor "dissapear" if she was desperate enough.

RD - Although brash, she's in the best position to scout most of Equestria for any evidence.

AJ - Down to earth, level headed, and no nonsense. She would be one of the least to break under ruthless prosecution.

Pinkie - Hmm, not sure if such a good idea. She would just keep talking about parties, cakes, etc. Although people say she's smarter than given credit for. It would be hilarious though to see Manfred's attempts to break her have no effect xD

Fluttershy - Think she would be too shy in a courtroom setting. Although she could use the stare on Manfred to put him in his place xD She could also use her animal friends to help gather evidence.

It's gotta be Twilight for me, because being a litteral book worm and knows how to look at a case inside and out, she always tries to get to the truth of things while sticking true to her friends, or in this case for me hopefully, her client lol.

Yeah, if I had the option, I would likely choose Trixie too, because she was actually a very good prosecutor, and tried to secure the proper verdict.

Twilight Sparkle all the way for me! Along with her knowledge, she can also use her Princess title to her advantage in accessing materials that are normally restricted from normal class citizens.

 

I think that an MLP video game in the same style as the Phoenix Wright games could work. Turnabout Storm proved that the world of MLP can make for great crime investigations and courtroom drama  .

Plus, it would be cute to see the mane FIM cast interact with the entire Ace Attorney crew; that crossover would blow my mind

I choose Fluttershy. She can be brave when she's needed most, I particularly remember the cockatrice and dragon stare down. The image of her eventually going full rage / cornered mode is also kind of interesting. I picture her going cornered mode and closing the case in one fell swoop in a fury of evidence and logic, then apologizing for the outburst immediately after to a stunned judge.

 

Whether she could actually beat von karma I can't say, but I'd consider her a decent Wright stand-in.

Actually they all have their good sides:

 

Fluttershy: Stare, and has the attitude when she needs it.

 

Rarity: Sassy, persuasive

 

Twilight: Knowledgable

 

Pinkie: Confusing

 

Applejack: Definitely has her ways of looking into suspicious things and looking behind the walls on them

 

Rainbowdash: Hard to crack

 

Yeah, but, I'd still choose Twilight. I mean, she's smart and everything, and though the others have their up sides, Twilight still has a key factor you can be more assured will get you out of something.

Twilight is too pure to be a good attorney.  I do not want someone who cares about feelings.  I do not want one who will work fairly within the limits of the law.  I want one who is willing to pull all the devious lawyer tricks out of the book, who won't care if she has to cause angst to the witness etc to get what we want out of said.  Trixie is perfect.  She is sufficiently devious, driven, as well as smart.  Twi just plays too fair, and isn't able to see the evil in other ponies enough.

Well, despite the fact she was devious in Turnabout Storm, she ended up being pretty honorable near the end, even throwing away a victory to ensure that the proper verdict gets handed down, which proves that Trixie (at least Turnabout Storm Trixie) is still above all else, a pony with a great respect for the law. And I think she could even give Edgeworth a run for his money if she decided to be an attorney. Because throughout Turnabout Storm, she has almost consistently covered her bases. I would just love to see her face off against Manfred, I would pay stupid amounts of money to see that go down

It depends. I mean if I was serious about getting off with a crime that I'd committed, I'd get Twilight because she will find some legal loophole that I could crawl through.

 

But if I just wanted the jury to see that I was sane in comparison to someone who presumably has a juris doctorate, I'd go with Pinkie Pie.

I would probably pick Rarity, She could be useful in a lot of ways, one of said ways is using her appeal, I have watched enough law based shows to know that it isn't always the kid who is super smart but rather the one with the most charisma, if anyone knows the show Suits, would know where I am coming from, Rarity can talk the talk and walk the walk, she could talk circles around anyone and make them put their foot in their mouth so easy it isn't even funny, I know that if I was to be in court for some reason I would run to Rarity, it isn't even just for her connections, but the fact that she can so eloquently make you feel like an idiot.
