Pineapple's Pony Pics

Okay, I only have one drawing for now but I will post more later! This one is of Fluttershy... I imagined the light to represent hope in darkness. I'm not sure why I used Fluttershy for this particular drawing. I guess because she's my favorite Mane 6 Pony.

It has sloppy linework because I wanted to get it done quickly :P

I use Manga Studio 5 and I draw freehand with the mouse.

Thanks for looking!

It came out looking okay... but, it defiantly could use some work.

It doesn't look too much like it was stylized on purpose so, Im assuming the style you were going for is the original cannon style of the show itself.

If that is the case, you would benefit by studying proportions because it does look a little wanky here and there more specifically around the neck, chest and, hind leg area.

I would also recommend working on your lines, they look a little wobbly and have too much of the same consistent thickness. Although, you did state that you were trying to to get it done quickly, line-art is prime when you take your time and have a conscience of your line placement.

If you are still drawing with a mouse I would encourage you to buy a graphics tablet, though if you still prefer to use a mouse over a graphics tablet do some vector line studies.

Im also not sure in the way you colored/painted this was done purposely to make a texture but, in manga studio specifically it helps to make a fill layer for colored line arts.

Last but not least, the eyes, hair and wings.

The eyes are way off and look completely out of place, and the hair could use some work as well.

Your best bet when dealing with hair is to make a series of abstract lines instead of one blobbed grouping.

When it comes the here wings I cant tell if they are just hidden or if you didn't draw them at all. :/

Anyway, I hope this helped.

Keep up practicing and happy arting!  :yay:

Today I decided to draw some ponies on paper! I do not have a scanner so I had to take photos with my camera.

Here's Pinkie Pie chasing a butterfly!

And here's a random pegasus... It was originally going to be Derpy but I forgot to make her eyes wonky :derp:
