That reminds me of my friend that watched decapitation videos. ~_~ Why someone would WANT to see something like that is beyond me. He said that he LIKED watching it, even!

I watch NSFL videos on occasion. Sometimes its out of morbid curiosity, but the reason I go through with watching such videos is because I feel like there's something really important that can be learned from them. They force me to be completely aware of the harshness of reality and all that it entails, and to not take one minute of life for granted. They also make me a more paranoid/careful person, but I digress. I don't enjoy watching tragedies, but they can force one to think about life from a different perspective. Perhaps when the time comes that I'm directly affected by a tragedy, maybe I'll be more emotionally equipped to not let it completely break me.

That being said, I don't recommend watching NSFL videos to anyone. Especially if you're sensitive.

Yeah, I used to be in to shock stuff when I was younger. Definitely not so much anymore, but I feel like seeing that stuff kind of puts things into perspective, and shows you that human beings are really fragile things. It doesn't take much to horribly cripple or kill a person, so it makes you more careful.

When I can hear my bed calling for me, by derriere can no longer handle siting in the chair, or when I have run out of things to do/get bored and can't bother myself to find something.

I personally have decided I have seen enough when I play the "Youtube Journey" game where you just click on the next related video you see without searching for anything. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff, which puts an end to my internet connection for the day.

I LOVE doing this!  As for me, I get to this point when I watch James and Mike Mondays the Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe, and in the comments I see someone said "Whatever you do, don't goggle 'Robert Mapplethorpe'.  My eyes!!!"  And then I just have to do it.  After looking through the results for a couple minutes, I figure it's about time to shut down for the night.  Holy crap.

At about 2 AM when I'm so bored I'm watching drag races between a Box Chevy and a 76 Impala

Whenever I go to sleep. I live on ze interwebz :D

full.gif

I use multiple MLP sites, from this one (by far where I'm most active) to EQD to Fimfic to even some less than savory pony places that I would rather not name :D

I also keep up with sports over the internet, as it allows me to keep up with my favorite teams (Like, the Edmonton Oilers in hockey, the Brooklyn Nets in Basketball, and the Detroit Lions in Football) without having to pay the out of market price :D

Lastly, I talk to a lot of people on Skype :D I get a lot of my personal conversation on there.

Basically, without the internet, I am nothing.

When my body demands sleep, and I'm unwilling to imbibe more coffee.

I'm somewhat agoraphobic and not overly fond of actually approaching / speaking to other people (unless it's someone I'm unusually close to / comfortable with), so the only place I'm anything resembling "social" is online.  I also don't use the phone or own a cell, so Facebook and online chat are how I regularly communicate even with loved ones.  I'm both reliant upon AND kind of indebted to the internet lol.

Also, I've seen some weird (or very interesting, depending on your tastes lol) s**t online.  I'm generally undeterred by the weird.  I steer well clear of violence and gore, but if I encounter something of an explicit nature in a Google image search my reaction is usually to just move on to the next thumbnail.  "Wait...  Is that an image of Pikachu...  Eh, seen it.  Let's see some new ideas, internet!"  I don't really have a specific image in mind, btw xD.

When the mind starts to wonder around and next thing you know, you got 80+ tabs about the same subject or a large variety. Then the fact that half of them aren't what one would look up normally. Then I'll just slide down on my office chair, close my browser, pull out my tablet and start drawing something.

If what I'm drawing starts to be something related to the strange topics. Good bye computer, I'll just go and do something that doesn't lead to those subjects…

I personally blame Cracked for nearly 90% of my, "That's enough of the Internet for today." (Cracked the site not whatever you were thinking of.)

When I realize it's now painful to move because I've been sitting so long, and I'm cold. Either that or when my leg falls asleep from kitty chillin on it.

When I'm out of stuff to do. If I've already visited all of the sites I normally do, and I have nothing else to do I'll get off the internet and go do something else.
