gaming NCR vs Caesars legion

Which do you support in fallout new vegas the NCR(new California republic) or Caesars legion?

 

I myself support the NCR because one they actually want to help people instead of enslaving them, two because I don't believe that people should be enslaved and the legion seem to be obsessed with slavery, and three the legion has you destroy the brotherhood of steel despite the NCR hating the brotherhood they can at least stop fighting for long enough to stop the legion from taking Hoover dam.

 

Also I hate the way legion armor looks I mean come on vexillarius armor has plates on it being used as armor who uses plates as armor.

I was supporting NCR throughout but that was mostly cuz they had the coolest looking armor. I used this through the whole second half of the game:

 

 

Though I thoroughly enjoyed having Boone as my partner.

 

By the end of the game I supported Mr. House just because I didn't wanna have to fight his army of soldier'd up monstrosities. LOL

 

I've only played the game once though.

Im all for NCR, though if the Legion was slightly more accurate to the Roman Legion then Id have gone with them. I love the ancient Roman military, extremely professional and driven by honour <3

Neither. Caesar's Legion is a band of organized, radical-thinking slavers. The NCR would be pretty good, if they weren't imperialistic. I ended up playing for an Independent Vegas, and it wasn't what I expected.

I took over New Vegas myself because I didn't trust anyone else with doing a good job of it. The Legion are just evil for evil's sake, I had no way of knowing Mr. House's motives so obviously I wasn't going to trust him and the NCR just reminded me of the American military...so I trusted them the least, of course. The soldiers themselves might have been pleasant enough but the brass were just arseholes playing games with people's lives and claiming to be fighting for freedom when in reality they're just there to milk the area dry of resources. There are various forms of forced servitude than the typical shackles and whips slavery.

NCR isn't ideal (imperialistic), imo, but I think the wasteland needs a strong hand to guide it. Too anarchistic not to have somebody in charge. I like their style, too.

 

The Legion is obviously evil though, and an autocrat like Caesar who rules with an iron fist with an army supporting slavery and practicing crucifixion is not an organization I can support. I should hope nobody would.

Not really sure. They both have their negatives, and positives. That being said I mostly go independent Vegas. Also if you do a Legion play thought you pretty much void out half of the side quests in the game.

Although in the end, I don't work for the NCR, the Legion, or Mr.House. I work for myself. The Strip is mine, and so are all of its robots. It's all mine!

NCR. They are not perfect and have their flaws and their politics are no different from what is happening now, but they look like angels when compared to legion. Legion is all for slavery, is merciless for people, they conquer, act like typical barbarians and have no respect to women. Also legion's uniforms look extremely stupid and I always enjoyed smashing them to pieces Oh, and NCR is at least smart enough NOT to throw a damn spear against some random Rambo wearing power armour. Seriously... spear against someone who looks like giant can? That is not even stupid... Also legion is all about Caesar. Caesar dies and legion goes to hell and ends in pieces. He is only person capable to keep all this mess together. Also legion is pretty much EVERYTHING that is wrong with humanity. So... yeah... I may not like NCR that much, but I still would choose them as lesser evil here.

NCR is a corrupt shamocracy, it's grown into little better than the democracy that started the war in the first place, and blew up the old world; NCR is ruled by brahmen baron, or, at least, the government is heavily infleunced by the large ranchers. Those ranches are caring little more for the populous of the Republic than for the brahmen they happily end for leather and wealth. It's a terribly formed Republic, and everything is wrong with the NCR. The Legion's flaws are a bit more obvious. Mr. House is the real good ruler in this. House is a benevolent dictator; guaranteeing freedom for his subjects, only asking for their work and their time in exchange for a good, free life. Surely, House is not perfect by any stretch; the yet not wonderful ruler, but he'll make sure people are taken care of, live their lives as best they can, and with as few issues as possible hampering them, he will provide both freedom and order. Really, I see Mr. House as the best possible government to rule.

I prefer the NCR, but I almost always go it alone. I despise Caesar's Legion. In fact, I pretty much just stocked up on ammo and stempacks and Ramboed the legion HQ with Boone. I wasn't satisfied until I turned Caesar into itty bitty meaty chunks, and killed every last legion scum. After the deed was done, I personally looted Caesar's corps, took the entire HQ's armory and ammunition, and limped out of their base, covered in the color they flaunted so proudly, and resumed to roam the wasteland in search of more worthy opponents.

I could see that. House holds onto the glory of the Old World, aspiring to the ideals of his perfected past.  House is effectively a Renaissance view of Ancient Greece or the Roman Republic (or Roman Empire). House really tries to create his own world, a cold, effective, and fairly acceptable place to live, when all is said and done.  I do feel that House, perhaps with the side of the benevolent Courier, would be the best future for the world. House doesn't seem much corruptable; he's already got all he wants, and he really seems different than any of the moral factions or governments. Personally, I see House as not just the best alternative, but a fairly good alternative, and a good government at that.
