I'm sorry that these topics scare you but the internet and even more so a forum is a place of open discussion and free Thot. Please be aware that to title said what this post was about and if it was a topic that could scare you it would have been recommended to avoid it. Get a grip. Most of the stuff in this thread is friendly trolling or commenting on outside idiots. What makes you think WE think MLP is evil. The irony of Equestria's devil Tirek being defeated by the power of 6 and magic is humorous on its own but i'm sure unintended. Let deluded Christians think that MLP and that 90% of the world is satanic.

I guess it could have been temptation threw the fear of loss but that is really pushing the envelope.

 

Temptation is usually something that will bring immediate satisfaction with future regrets, I don't think twilight at all regretted her decision to give up her magic for her friends. She saw it as the right thing to do so it was more a sacrifice than a temptation.

Well I'm not sure about "Satanic messages" in terms of encouraging kids to do evil, but there is certainly some satanic imagery.

 

I mean, Tirek inherited his design from an 80's villain, the G1 Tirek. Many villains back then were influenced by the associated evils of Judeo-Christian tradition. Mumm-Ra, Skeletor, King Cobra, etc. Tirek was just the most blatantly reminiscent of the Devil himself.

 

Tirek re-emerging nowadays shows his origin both through his design as well as his methods. Sucking out the magic of ponies to the point of removing their cutie-mark (read the emblem of their soul!) and most tellingly, his interaction with Discord. 

 

Very much like his diabolical inspiration, Tirek tempts Discord with something he wants in exchange for abandoning his friends. Specifically a classic Faustian lure, freedom, specifically freedom from responsibility. Something that being good, and being a friend, often requires.

 

In fact, one can almost get a snapshot of the different perceptions of inhuman evil looking at these two! Tirek, as I said, infernal, Hellish, very demonic.

 

While Discord is pretty close in nature to a Lovecraftian horror. He cannot be contained forever, and retains consciousness when he is, he's not want for anything aside from pandemonium, regardless of who it hurts, his nature causes the minds and world around him to become twisted and aberrant.
