technology eBay hacked! Better change your password...

 For those that haven't heard yet, eBay was hacked and they lost the passwords. It would be best to change your password with the information that is there, plus the fact that eBay and Paypal are now linked at the hip.

Ya but this news could have been good to know about a month and a half ago... the news feed claims this happened between Feb and March!

I use Ebay often enough that I'll notice if someone hacks my account. I've changed my password so much I'm afraid I'll forget it if I change it again.

I don't personally use eBay but I heard its a really big site and in such big sites, it should not be possible to hack them.

Glad I have never used ebay O.o It's a shame for the people who frequently use it they could have possibly got their credentials taken.

 

So many hackings with the heart bleed thing and the black hats exploiting that then this happens.

First the Target Breach (even though that was December 2013, I still count it), The Heartbleed Bug and now this?

 

Good thing I haven't used eBay in, well, forever. I prefer to use Amazon, it's less common to get scammed by some guy in China.

What about people who did not use their accounts for last two years? I don't even remember login and password to my mom's account and like I said already it was not used in literally 2 years or even more. Should I try and find that account's details or am I "safe" and there will be nothing bad if I just leave it alone?

Just spread the news on all my hobby themed hubs. My friends and I do s lot of transactions on the bay and I figured it'd be good to tell them ASAP. Thanks for thr heads up, mate!

I heard this on the 9 News about an hour ago.

 

I'm amazed of how such a large company could get hacked - it's also a little worrying considering the fact that eBay owns Paypal - what might this mean for Paypal users. O.o
