gaming I need help

Can anypony help me? I am about to start making videos (mostly minecraft) and stuff, but I don't know what to record with. I just got a new microphone/headphones, a Logitech USB Headset (whatever that means), and Camtasia, but Camtasia won't record sound with my microphone. What do I need to do? Your best bet is to buy Fraps. It's a bit expensive, but no other recording software even compares to its performance and versatility.

 

If you're satisfied with Camtasia, don't want to spend any money, and are fine with recording audio separately, you really can't go wrong with Audacity. It's an excellent free tool for recording and editing sound. And when you need to edit the audio and video together, I don't see you needing any better video editing tool than Windows Movie Maker.

Fraps is an excellent choice, select audio recording through Fraps to the built in sound, and get a secondary software like Audacity to record your voice. Put them together in a video editing software

Just remember that when you use Fraps, you should keep a lot of hard drive space to spare. About 150 GB / hour of recording. Since Fraps doesn't compress footage at all.
