This one isn't any sort of public service essay--just a personal vent. I've referenced Game of Thrones enough times on this forum that anyone who follows me probably knows that I watch that show. I mean... who doesn't? That would be like saying, "I enjoy pizza." Like... duh. Did we really need to be told that? So, I watched the finale, and I never planned on writing anything about the show in my blog, but now I feel I must, but probably not for the reason you might think. Suffice it to sa
It's been a while since my last blog entry, but now is a perfect time to say a few (well actually a lot of words) about my brief but overall enjoyable time here on these forums. I've been a MLP fan for 4 years now I think and my first experience of was seeing Celestia and Luna in a video about the Top 10 Non-Disney Princesses and they were both number 5 on the list. At the time, I didn't think much of the show or the fandom, and just sort of brushed it off like it was nothing and didn't really p

Here's my review of the last two MLP episodes, so I don't fall behind any more than I already have.
Starting with Common Ground. First off, I love that they had Patton Oswalt, his daughter and current wife in this episode. It was super adorable and his daughter's character was cute as well. I liked that Quibble was trying to bond with his 'daughter' in the episode over Buckball. Good continuity to the earlier Buckball episode (dispite AJ not being involved). Overall, I really did like this

I like every season aside from Winter. I find Winter to be truly lovely, but I’m not much for Christmas, and cold makes my body ache. Back to Spring. Spring means it’s starting to warm up, my birthday is on the way, and baby critters are imminent. We’ve adopted all of our pets this time of year, usually this week. And this year is no acceptation. 2017 my husband and my’s first pet that we got together, a mini lop rabbit died due to liver failure. Our deaf, poorly behaved, commanding, fearless ra

It's been quite awhile since I've written anything in Stop & Talk. Been busy.
Today I'd like to float an interesting idea that I've thought about for some time. I believe that promises are essentially meaningless. This isn't the bitter, cynical viewpoint that it sounds like. I actually believe that promises do little to nothing, in fact, to change anything that one person would tell another. The concept of a promise is largely unnecessary, in my view.
Think about what a promis
Sometimes you just not look forward to an episode. Whether it’s the synopsis, unimpressive preview, or whatever, something didn’t click. Personally, I looked forward to it, although I understand why some didn’t. It had the makings to being the worst episode of the season at this point. Fortunately, it’s not. In fact, it’s a sneaky great one.
For one, there’s a whole lot of really good comedy. Like every other episode this season, there’s a huge array of facial expressions, and they sell

First this appeared in S2E9 - Sweet and Elite:
And now this in Equestria Girls - Spring Breakdown Part 5 'Hoofin' It':
Note how the old one has, arguably as a bit of an immersion breaker, a more realistic painted art style, but the new one has the cheese that is such an upgrade. Various elements became more odd/abstract, and the wear marks near the corners are mostly identical, too.
One could spin all kinds of theories as to what happened here.

This entry isn't really marking any significant progress with any particular technique, but rather marking the first time use of a couple techniques. It's true this is my first attempt at Luna-style hind legs or kirin features(the scales, hooves, etc.), but also this is my first ever (digital or otherwise) attempt at fur fluff which I intend to start practicing with on occasion, and perhaps eventually make it a permanent addition to my drawings.

I just want to say that every one of you guys are loved. Even though it may not seem like it right now, people care about you. Maybe you don't think you have any friends or maybe you think you'll be lonely forever, but as long as you're always yourself, the right friends will stay and somebody WILL come along and be there for you. It's never the end.

For the first time, FIM brings back a celebrity guest: Patton Oswalt. When I first watched Stranger Than Fan Fiction, I panned the character he voiced (Quibble Pants), calling him a stereotype of superfans and for being so dumb to think he's still near the Daring Do convention despite being in a radically different climate. Upon reflection, he's nowhere nearly as bad as I claimed. Holding onto the idiot ball in Act 2 is a big flaw in the epis

I used to make plushies. I enjoyed it a lot but they just weren’t lucrative enough for me to keep doing so I decided that I’d rather do something I love, and make them for friends and family rather than profit, and get my degree in something I loved. Cool? Cool.
So I started working on my degree, and it’s great. Then I get this great internship, and start shopping for clothes that make me look less slummy than I usually do. Except that uh, yeah everything I look at looks like garbage. Neat

The first Patreon exclusive Yotes Games post just went up for those curious about the game's progress this past month. It's got screenshot breakdowns, what roadblocks have been stumping me, and a look at what's to come over the next 30 days.
Chipping away at this project one day at a time. Looking forward to generating some YouTube hype as soon as the prototype build is done.
