Hi everypony!
It's Emerald<3 here with a quick announcement.
I was thinking of doing a livestream on my YouTube channel, OhweewahFilmz
I still have to map out some things to talk about, but I'm probably gonna do my fanfic reading, the one that @Dynamo Pad was kind enough to let me use his OC for a small cameo.
I will also be answering some questions, but if there is anything else you suggest me doing please pass me your ideas.
I'll make sure to update my status when

The 1960s was a very tumultuous time with a lot of assassinations, such as JFK in '63 and Malcolm X in '65. 1968 had two high-profile ones: MLK Jr. that April and RFK two months later.
As bold as any show then and now, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood tackled this very difficult subject front and center with utmost care and respect. This clip came from a nighttime special in recent response to RFK's murder and mass media's graphic display of it:
Dear Kendroth,
I am so sorry to hear that. Those ponis have no right to talk such nasty things about you. I know many fear dragons but to treat them with such disrespect.
Sad to say I shouldn't have been surprised. Many ponis hold prejudiced against things they still have yet to understand. I am sorry. I too have been a victum of this kind of behavior for years, despite being poni myself I just thought that since things have gotten better- you wouldn't have to face it.

Hello!
(This'll probably be my last post before I go offline from 21st July to 14th September. Welp, anyways...)
It's time for another random quiz. I got this one from a teacher of mine.
Q: There are 10 birds on a tree branch one evening. Suddenly, there was a loud "BOOM"! If 3 of the birds fainted because of the loud sound, how many were on still on the branch? Why?
A: __________

Hey. Y'know what really grinds my gears? When you're drinking something with ice, without a straw, and you get towards the end, and the ice kinda sticks together in the bottom of the glass, and then it suddenly dislodges and comes careening towards your mouth, and you can't act fast enough, and it hits you, and you get the drink all over your face, and some of the drink goes on either side of your mouth and dribbles down your face and onto your shirt.
F*CK THAT SH*T, man.

I've read the fic Friendship is Optimal the other day and... well, let's just say it had an effect on me. The story is here, but I should mention that I found it... kinda horrifying, among other things. So, be warned if you plan to read it, and if you're already familiar with it, read the stuff below let me know what you think. I already posted it in the comments section of the story itself, but I could use different perspectives.

Hey. Y'know what really grinds my gears? When you purchase a new sweet-ass graphics card and a nice SSD and some sweet-ass RAM for your gaming computer, and then you install everything, and turn the 'puter on, but it doesn't boot. The tower turns on, but the monitor stays black and just doesn't boot anything. So you double check all connections and re-seat everything, but it doesn't help. You already know everything should be compatible for your motherboard, so then you double check your sy
The Duck Knight Returns is perhaps the best episode of the new DuckTales. Of the many reasons why, the brilliant commentary on fandom's one of the most creative. It's able to comment about fandom without being mean, narcissistic, or retaliatory to criticism. It knows how to shape this commentary into the canon with nuance and care. There are five specific points that really shape up this commentary.
Launchpad (representing the older fans) had a valid argument against the Darkwing Duck movi

In my last piece, I argued that immortality wouldn't be the blessing that it's cracked up to be, but rather a curse. Today, I tackle the opposite side of the same coin: suicide.
My thoughts about suicide are quite simple. I have always believed very firmly in complete bodily autonomy. I believe that your body is the only thing you can ever truly own in the purest sense. No one can tell you what you can and can't do with your own body as long as you're not infringing on the rights of oth

Nearly every religion is based on the promise of immortality after death. For as long as humans have existed, we have feared death, and for many, the only solace is the bedtime story that when we die, we will be reunited with loved ones and get to experience everlasting joy in heaven for all eternity. Countless peoples have based their entire lives on ensuring that they are admitted to this paradise when the time arrives. People teach their children what they need to do in order to get into h

I regularly find it utterly bewildering, dismaying, and depressing that the majority of the world seems to believe in ghosts, spirits, and anything else that would fall under the umbrella of the "supernatural" or "paranormal". I certainly do not, because I don't believe in anything on insufficient evidence, and neither should you. Incidentally, this goes for things like astrology and psychics as well. I was tempted to write a separate piece on this, but I don't think there's enough material t

There's not a whole lot to say here other than that I'm still working on improving. My last few pictures have been decent, good even, but I can't help notice the flaws that are probably caused by my rushing to improve too fast. These past weeks I've gone back to the basics: body structure, anatomy, proportions, etc. I don't have anything to show because I'm sure no one wants to see a bunch of incomplete sketches focused on improving rather than producing a high quality finished product.
My
OMG, this one's the worst.
Y'know what really grinds my gears? When some computers and devices can't count properly. Okay, so if you're titling a bunch of files, and you number them, and then you sort by name, you'd expect them to appear in numerical order, right? I mean, that's how it works. Like, if you're using Windows, and you have a folder full of pictures from your camping trip, you can select all of them, and retitle the first one "Camp", and then it will automatically retitle al
