  1. Something I can't seem to stick to is playing the piano/keyboard. I love to play! So I set aside time to do so, but then I just don't keep at it. Then when I do feel inspired to play again, I don't have the time. I would also love to keep up with my archery practice, but having to drive across the city to get to the range has made me go less and less lately.
  2. Oh! I forgot to say I guess it depends how you get your shows for how much you can watch. I watch pretty much everything on my computer. Either on youtube, on tv station websites, or if I own a physical copy of a show. (Speaking of which, Christmas has come early! Just got Season 1 of MLP FiM in the mail today!! ) I prefer to watch episodes online, because on regular tv/cable I'd always end up missing shows due to their specific air times. At least online you can generally watch whenever and for however long you have available. Either way, I'm still stuck waiting a week for each new episode, and as that Tom Petty song go... "the waiting is the hardest part"
  3. Lately all I've been seeing are sketches of ponies, it's cool to see some drawings done in color! By the way, great work! I'm curoius to see when they'll get their cutie marks Keep it up!

Ohhh. By the way...remember the chat from a night or two ago? We were discussing pony terms and how they find there way into everyday lang. What I wanted to say is that a commonly use Somepony or Anypony. Because everypony knows im a Brony...Even my enemys

Haha yeah I'm pretty excited to watch it again! :D Yes, I do remember. That's kinda cool that everyone knows you're a Brony and you can be comfortable enough to call somepony "somepony". I don't really know how my friends would react to it, so I just slide in the odd reference still. It amuses me at least haha

Well its always a good idea to step a little ways out of that socially awkward shell.... And just because everyone knows im a Brony does not mean they agree or treat me with respect.

  5. Do you prefer to watch one episode a day, or would you rather commit your day to watching a whole season? For me, it depends on the show. When I first watched MLP Friendship is Magic, I watched about 3 episodes each night. (Which make sit hard waiting a week for each new episode ) But with other shows, I'll sit down and watch an entire season/series in a day or 2. My issue with this way is I couldn't tell you specifics from a show I just powered through, as it all kinda blends together. I tihnk if the show is something I've seen before, it'll be a fun time powering through whole seasons at a time. But if it's a new show, I would rather take it slower and enjoy a few episodes at a time. Gives you time to take in what you've watched, as well as something to look forward to each day
  6. I have a hard time picking one favorite song. But I think I'd have to go with Linkin Park - Iridescent. I get the chills and feel a little emotional when I hear it
  7. League of Legends is a fun game! I'd start it up and hours would just fly by. But I seem to play it for a couple days, then just forget it exists for several months. Not sure why I never keep up with it... I may have to try getting back into the game Thanks for the reminder
  8. At first I hated achievements. I knew many people who played games just to unlock them. I'd ask them "what happened to playing games for the fun of it?" and they'd just bring up gamerscore or trophies and so on. I thought back to days where there were no achievements, and you would play games because it was fun, or because it was challenging, or just playing a game because you liked said game. Not because you needed a "score". I have seen some good from achievements though. Some have made me play games in a different way than I normally would have. Say making all 'good' choices over all 'evil' choices. Or a stealthy playthrough over an aggressive one. Or completing a game on the hardest difficulty. Sometimes, achievements give you that extra incentive to try out these other ways to play. I do not think achievements should be your one "goal" when gaming, but I wouldn't have spent some extra time on certain games without them there to say "hey, why don't you try doing this..." I guess I'm neutral on the subject of achievements now. I think they are good in the way they'll show you opportunities to play in a different way, but I don't think they should be the main focus for gaming.
  9. Best moments of this year: - Renewing a great friendship with someone I haven't spoken with in 6 years. - Joining the gym and actually taking care of myself - Getting a camera and keyboard (to seriously get back into photography and music) - Helping one friend through their depressiond and helped another clean up their life. - Discovering MLP FiM (has helped me stay positive) Worst moments of this year: - Having to leave my job of 3 years (job shut down) - Lost connection with people from said job (we were like a second family) - Death of a friend. - Struggling through my own depression. The worst moment of this year is when I completely lost touch with myself and my life. I'm hoping this will actually become one of the best moments of my life, because having "lost myself" I now get to discover who I am. Sounds kinda cheesy, but at the end of this "self discovery journey" I'm hoping things will start looking up.
  10. I am currently playing Final Fantasy XIII. 23 hours in and I can finally swap out party members! This one takes a while to get going, but I'm enjoying 13 more than Final Fantasy 12 so far. Also playing the occasional rounds of Halo Reach still.
  11. Geez, I hadn't heard about these animal deaths... Shame on PETA for blowing it out of proportion! These things, unfortunately, do happen. Sounds like the crew did what they could to prevent any further accidents. Isn't that enough of a sign they care? I agree with what you're saying about them just wanting a big reaction out of people too. The sad thing is, if it were a different situation where let's say they had saved some animals, I'm sure many people wouldn't bat an eyelash at it. Unfortunately, most people only react to the negative things that happen. And when they do, it becomes bigger than it should have been.
  12. That's awesome! I haven't had an advent calendar in years! I haven't seen a MLP one up here in Canada, just regular old christmas ones so far. May have to keep an eye out now
  13. Saw 'The Hobbit' the other night and I don't know why it has such mixed reviews. I thought it was great! Looking forward to the next one

If you go to media discussion, I have thread about that. I think you should read it if you haven't. Its called ~The Hobbit~ (in response to the animal deaths) and no im not blabbing about how horrid it was or trying to sound like Peta...

    movies/tv Best movie of 2012?

It may be slightly biased being the most recent 2012 film I've seen, but I thought The Hobbit was excellent! One of those movies where you buy popcorn and forget to eat it because you get so focused on the movie. Made for a nice snack afterwards
  15. I've woken up with a pillow wrapped in my arms, but I don't recall intentionally hugging it before falling asleep Oh well, guess I needed a hug in my sleep. But I must say, great drawing!
  16. Wow! Thank you all for the warm welcome! Being the Welcoming Plaza I guess you expect a few "hello's" and such, but it does make you feel kinda special and very welcome I'm looking forward to my stay here!
  17. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: Found MLP Forums by searching Google for "MLP FiM community". This was the first link and that's that! How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I'd heard of the show but never gave it any thought. I found out a vlogger I follow on youtube watches the show andfigured I'd check it out. 3 episodes into Season 1 and I was hooked! Hello MLP Forums! I'm fairly new to forums as well as the pony community, so any tips are appreciated! I spent the last month watching season 1 and 2 and thought it would be nice to meet some people who share an interest in the show. I have one friend who enjoys the show, but everyone else I know seems to hate on it if it comes up in conversation. Honestly, I'm kind of embarrassed, being a 21 year old male who watches MLP. I'm a bit worried what my other friends would think if they knew, so I thought I would venture into the online community! I've heard the broniesy/pegasisters are quite friendly and accepting so ... Ta da! Here I am! I'm not really sure where to go from here, so figured I'd just say hi! - Flare
