  1. *will play around with some of these lines when he gets off work* The problem is, the only voice I can really do is a low growling tone D:
  2. Despite my demeanor on the site, I don't really smile as much as I should. Mostly due to the fact that I cannot force it and that I smirk more than smile. That is unless, of course, if I entertaining others. Hello nurse! :3
  3. Actually, I find both of these to be pretty well done Always liked the Slender Man character and it's always been creepy. Caught the likeness very well
  4. When I was younger, I'd play HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 on my dreamcast. Lately though, I buy a few bottles of cherry coke and slump down on my couch with either a book, a tv series I like to watch, or play Mario 3.
  5. If I remember correctly, there is a lawsuit currently going against them for this very thing. I myself am very wary when it comes to a lot of reviews because I feel sometimes people write negative reviews for trivial things while others praise the hell out of a product just as they are a fan of the company >.<
  6. Actually there is a reason. This has been an issue in California with some smaller businesses. You see, it seems that YELP will approach some businesses and offer, basically, a plan that if the businesses pay X amount, Yelp will advertise their business and "filter" out the "spam" reviews. However there is a legal case going on that YELP does the reverse as well - that if a company refuses to opt into this advertisement thing, YELP will promote the negative reviews more than anything. http://womeninbusiness.about.com/od/yelp-help/a/Yelp-S-Filter-Reviews-Biased-Towards-Yelp.htm
  7. Rapunzel hooves down. She is cute, sweet, adoriable, cute, adventurous, cute, strong, cute, silly, cute... Did I say cute? I also like Jane from Tarzan for the cuteness as well Belle is awesome as she is pretty tough willed. Same with Mulan. I <3 tough women.
  8. I recommend that you do your best to keep the characters as true to the series as possible. A lot of fan-fiction authors like to twist thing around or alter the characters' personalities (making them cuss and whatnot). Take your time. Once you finish something, take a moment to let the story rest and let it roll arond in your head. Sometimes it will not feel right after the fact but if it still feels good, go with it
  9. The last 4 episodes of CowBoy Bebop really gets to me. Esp the part with Edward and Ein. The other epiosde that got to me is when Faye sees the Beta cassette where she declares "Don't Forget, Don't Forget, Me, Me, Me!" That breaks my heart every time. Another anime that gets to me, but not in a sad emotional state but an excited fascinated state, is Paranoia Agent because of its amazing take on Insanity and Madness :3
  10. Tis has nothing to do with religion. It's the fact that 1. It's out of the norm and generally makes people uncomfortable as it is not part of the norm 2. other men feel threatened on their own personal masculinity when they see it
  11. Hmm...One villain that I am most fascinated By Is the one who never blinks his eye The monster and the cannibal... Knows as the great Dr. Lecter
  12. It is naught that of a Choice It is naught caused by one Voice It is not created through a Gene And woe to those who are Mean For a Brony is Born and never Made So embrace the darkness Embrace the Shade!
  13. Very well is the one who says That the world of chaos shall reign We shall never again deal with goodie goodies As long as we serve up delicious burnt cookies!!!
  14. Hm. Yes. Yes. DiscordAnarchy approves of your arm warmers very much. I proclaim you as uber Kawaii and very awesome indeed! :D
  15. I posted mine so you must, by law, post yours. Please Please Please Please....I imagine that it would be too kawaii for words :D :D
  16. If ye ever wish to talk things over concerning the confusion aspect, you can always feel free to hit me up and talk about it. Always willing to lend an ear or offer advice
  17. I support this thread...as do I also support the concept of the idea of showing off how others could look in drag *clasps fingers* Yes...yes... but to be fair...here is me dressed in drag for Rocky Horror Picture Show (SFW)
  18. *looks it up and goes through the tumblrs and questions and pictures* Where is the disgusting thing about this character? From every pony's reaction, I expected some Battle-Royale level of horrorific gore.
  19. Conventions. I just love them. I've been lucky enough to do a 3 day even with both Comic-Con in San Diego and Wondercon in Anaheim and I've attended the Los Angeles Anime Convention and the smaller Morphin-Con which is for Power Ranger fans. I've been pretty lucky in being able to meet some of my favorite actors ranging from: Sid Haig Richard Epcar (Jigen from Lupin the III, Raiden, and The Joker in MK vs DC) And Doug Bradley (PinHead from Hellraiser) I've met Elvira, the cast of Mystery Science Theater, Bill Mosely, Bruce Campbell, and the Black Ranger to name a few. However, today at the small C4 convention, I got to meet two of my favorite characters when it comes to the video game world. The first is Lester Speight who is better known as Cole Train from Gears of War. I wasn't able to get a photo with him at the time but I did record this video for my friends who were not able to make the convention. He was really cool; very easy going and approachable. Dude is also HUGE! His hand literally swallowed mine up when we shook hands - and I am no small fry either. He was also very friendly and just fun to talk to. He autographed my copy of Gears of War 2 also The second person I met was the sole reason I even decided to attend this convention. Back in the mid 1990s, Mortal Kombat ruled the world and this was one of the most talked about movies at the time. I remember seeing the behind the scenes interviews, how the CGI was utilized, the controversy about the game series itself, and interviews with the cast. This is, to date, my favorite Video-Game movie of all time and I got to meet the man himself... Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (for the record; I don't know how to smile on queue when taking photos :\ So I either grimace or look angry) Shang FREAKIN TSUNG! Oh man, when I first saw him, I was uber nervous. I mean for one, he was a total badass as Shang Tsung. Seriously; no one else could play Tsung as well as Cary did. Secondly, this guy is a serious martial artist and that is just hardcore! He was VERY laid back. Seriously; he talked about the MK web-series and how professional and hungry the cast and crew are to make this live up to the MK legacy, he hinted a new MK movie is in the works (Though he says never trust Hollywood when it comes to releases!) But the coolest thing of all... IS THAT HE STOLE MY SOUL! Now if I could only meet Ed Boon, Miyamoto, and Suda 51 - my gamer life could be considered complete!
  20. Could I please bother a brony to provide some links to these animations and pictures and comics that everypony keeps talking about?
  21. Illusion of Gaia?! By Celestia's beard. It's been ages since I've heard that game. Not many people know of it from my experience but it is such a fun game!
  22. Then allow me to be your guide! The first thing you should do is read the following: Tales of the Bounty Hunters Tales of Mos Eisley Tales from Jabba's Palace These books all take place during the original trilogy. Bounty Hunters is pretty bad-ass as it explains background things (like a white IG-88 droid being in Cloud City before Chewie found C3PO) and it pays very close attention to background characters giving them all fantastic histories. Jabba's palace is the most creative also. Bounty Hunters and Jabba's Palace share deep histories with Boba Fett which makes him even more fascinating a character. If you want one of the most well written of the series, read Courtship of Princess Leia which showcases Luke learning about the Force as Han tries to win Leia's hand from a Prince. It has some serious moments (Han Solo's torture scene was painful to read) and some rather funny moments (Han Solo gambling in a seedy casino). It is easily one of the best ones of the Expanded universe. The young Jedi Knight books may be for preteens but they have the most character development of the entire expanded universe. New Republic's writing is off at times but it showcases a lot of Solo's past while introducing new threats to the republic. The Jedi Knight Trilogy has Skywalker training new recruits and while some parts are odd, the overall trilogy introduces some fantastic weapons and characters... If you want more, feel free to hit me up any time. OH GOD YES! If you love the OT, then you MUST MUST MUST Read Dark Empire and Dark Empire II. These comics are AMAZING I highly recommend it. Vector Prime is a tough read but it really takes off after that. Esp with building Han solo's character development. If you want to get excited allow me to share this kick-butt moment... There is one part in the series...where a single Jedi (won't say who), goes head to head with an entire battalion of the Vong. Because they are honor-based the Vong fought him one at a time and as they battled, the Jedi and the Vong literally had to climb over the corpses of all those the Jedi slaughtered before they finally broke rank and attacked at once - and he still held his own. ZMOG OH LORD! And there is a comic book (I need to dig it out) that shares some info about what Boba Fett is up too during the vong invasion...and they tie that story in with the second to last book of the series. DUDE XD The current trend (well, more like constant) is that Disney = Evil. Because they are so big and own so much, they MUST be evil. People see them shutting down Lucas Arts (while completely ignoring that 95% of all LucasArts IP's hadn't been used in the past 20 years - excluding monkey's island and Sam And Max - and on top of that Lucas Arts latest Star Wars games sold only decently with mediocre reviews) as an act worthy of treason. What they ignore, however, is the fact that Disney doesn't do anything with the franchises they own. They just turn them over to people who know what they are doing. Look at Marvel. Avengers was fantastic and I am sure the new Star Wars will be entertaining as all hell too. **ADDITION** While I am on the subject of Star Wars; did you know your screen name "Freedan" is actually one of the most powerful Sith Lords (not Dark Jedi) who ever existed? Freedan Nadd was one of the cruelest and most powerful True Sith lords who ever existed and his spirit was the one that ended up corrupting Exar Kun and Ulic Qel Droma to the dark side XD
  23. I visit the site at least once a day to see if there are any game shirts but sadly it mostly revolves around Dr. who. today is different with this entertaining Lord of the rings Pony shirt! (Note, the colors are different on the actual site) Here's the link for any ponies interested! http://www.teefury.com/
  24. Because it moved Star Wars into a new territory. For all the books prior, we secretly knew that the good guys were off limits but after Vector Prime all bets were off. Star Wars stepped into a darker, more dangerous territory. Some of the Vong books were prime. Seeing the Rebals use the Emporer's Fist against the Vong was AMAZING! I was eating that book up! However there were some that were just so boring without moving in any direction whatsoever (the dark jedi who had lightsabers coming out of his wrists, knees, and elbows? WTF was that?!). And yes, the books after the Vong reconned a lot. It was actually VERY irritating seeing Coruscant returning to a City planet. I wanted it to remain the jungle hellhole the Vong created! Putting Daala in charge after that? The fall of Jacen (really painful series there though they really showed Skywalker's power which was awesome). And the thing was just irritating as hell. I mean while I don't mind main characters dying, it took fans HOW MANY YEARS for her to be used properly only for her to be thrown away in such an anticlimatic way? Courtship of Princess Leia young Jedi Knights series Shadows of the Empire the Tales books New republic... Those were some of the best out there...
  25. I highly recommend you read the Expanded Universe. There are books that really dissect the "religion" of the Force. You see, the Prequels really ruined the concept of the Jedi and Dark Jedi (I refuse to call them Sith for reasons I will get into later if someone wants me too). The first book to really get into the Force and what it is all about is Courtship of Princess Leia. Luke feels very guilty about the idea of using the Force because he thinks he is sucking the energy away from life. At the same time, a tribe of Force-Sensitive women must struggle with the concept of Good and evil. It is through his interaction with them, and teaching one of the younger members; Luke comes to several powerful conclusions. Another Force-Focused trilogy is the Jedi Academy Trilogy which shows the evils and corruption that the Dark Side creates as well as bringing in a lot of the ancient lore from the Old republic (Exar Kun mostly). One of the stigmas Lucas put into the Jedi was the idea that Jedis should never marry - making them like a religious sect. This is just not true in the Expanded Universe. Hundreds of Jedis had families with very powerful bloodlines. Yes, some Jedi did fall because of rage that was incited when a loved one was lost (Nomi Sunrider being one of them) but others focused their love to become more powerful and helpful to those around them. The Force is dissected the most, however, during the Yuzhann Vong books where Jacen begins questioning being a Jedi. He begins to experiment with the Force and under the tutorledge of a bird-like "Jedi" named Vergree (spelling), he learns that there is no "Dark Side" or "Light Side" as the Jedis and Dark Jedis believed. The force is neutral and the "evil" and "Good" is all due to the intent of the user. Skywalker also learns this later but understands that this way of thinking is very dangerous also. He refuses to turn away from this info though but is cautious in teaching it. In the Expanded universe, they aren't as "Extreme" as the movies made them out to be. In fact, Skywalker encourages his students to go out on their own after a while and discover their true purpose and talents in light. If you want a fantastic series - I HIGHLY recommend the Young Jedi Knight books. it follows the solo kids as well as their experiences with The Force. Meant for young teens, it is still a fantastic and deliciously dark series.
