  1. I just started Lost Odyssey earlier this week. Was worried it was gonna be a typical JRPG with all the JRPG tropes and bs, but maybe the written dream passages have changed my mind, we'll see. My favorite game series is probably like The Elder Scrolls, or Final Fantasy, or The Super Mario Bros, or Zelda, or some damn thing. The Mother series is one of my favorite series (Earthbound) and Fox McCloud is my favorite video game character ever, although Garrus Vakarian might give him a run for his money. Smash is definitely awesome; Melee is my fav.
  2. Couldn't do the other one. My favorite albums by my favorite bands: They Might Be Giants: Factory Show Room. I think. Because , , , . Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo, because Far, Far Away, You Can't Handle This, , , and of course (Really the whole album is awesome.)
  3. If you're regularly posting on an online message board, don't fool yourself; you're a nerd. Yes, I am a nerd. I don't make any apologies about it either. I like the things that I like, and I don't like the things that I don't. I state the obvious on occasion, even. I like a lot of obscure music, I like cartoon shows aimed at little kids, I like rpg's, I like comic books, my job involves math formulas and inputting information into excel spread sheets, etc, etc. Most popular music today annoys me, as does a lot of fashion sense, popular mannerisms and slang. I also like sideburns, sole patches, jeans and t-shirts, and apparently those are all nerdy now, not alternative anymore. Anyhoo... Wuv, Yer Mom
  4. NHL - None NFL - Green Bay Packers MLB - None NBA - Portland Trailblazers College - Oregon State Beavers Soccer/Football - none Rugby - none There aren't many professional sports teams in Oregon. I like the Packers for some reason. *Shrug* Heh. I guess it's because the year I started watching football, I watched them beat up on some other team at Lambo Field and they seemed cool. Then they won the superbowl that year too. Fan ever since. Been a Beaver fan all my life. Never knew there was a second meaning to the word "beaver" until I was in Yellowstone one time and someone was like "I think a great game would be the OSU Beavers vs the South Carolina Game Cocks," (is it SC that are the Game Cocks? I don't really care.) But yeah, I was like "...okay." It's kinda a struggle being a Beaver fan sometimes. They had 28 consecutive losing seasons in football at one point... but they did win back to back baseball national championships in 06 and 07. And the Trailblazers were awesome back in the early 90's... too bad they haven't won a championship since before I was born. Anyhoo... Wuv, Yer Mom
  5. I love and tolerate in that I try not to give a damn what others think, unless they're people I love. Maybe. Actually loving everyone else takes too much effort, however.
  6. She's an evil enchantress She does evil dances And if you look deep in her eyes She'll put you in trances Then what will she do? She'll mix up an evil brew Then she'll gobble you up In a big tasty stew Soooo... Watch out! ...Bridle Gossip for me.
  7. Yeah, I think maybe I'ma take a break from this place... Used to my moderators not giving a damn about anything, lol. Maybe I'll come back when my warning meter is gone again, or I can muster up the effort to care about the rules (right now I can't be arsed.)

Also, no one can see your warning meter but you, I think.

  8. There's an extensive argument going on, and I have to admit that I only read like a bit of the first page and completely skipped the second, but I take it the jist of what people are saying is that yes, there are annoying fans, and yes, they will turn people off to the show. And yes, some of the fan works are over the top and can turn people off... But also that you can't judge a fandom based on a few bad apples, much less the thing the fandom is... fandoming about (I honestly don't know how else to put that, heh... ^^; ) I think it's important to remember not to let the little things bug you, and to not get mad at people for being intolerant. It's not worth it. Enjoy the things you enjoy regardless of what other people think (I mean, as long as it's not bringing harm to another person...) If you are just watching the show and uploading your fan works or whatever to other people who will appreciate them and not trying to force it on people who don't care/won't like it, you're doin' good. Also, if you just let other people like what they like and don't judge them for it, you're doin' good. If you're either of those aforementioned things, you should probably eff off. In either case, I have learned over the years to like what I like and tune out when people talk smack about what I like... and also to recognize when it's just a good-natured ribbing. I will give back Of course, it probably wouldn't kill you to give something a chance if your friend who likes it wants you to check it out...
  9. The end of the video... just wow. I don't understand, and am a little bit frightened (nah, not really.)
  10. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Because A) I'm crazy B ) My first Zelda game (we didn't have the first one and "didn't know better," according to my bro) and C) The gameplay that everyone hates so much, I love. Love the stats mechanics, too. Btw, if you ever play the Adventure Time game for the DS, it plays a lot like Zelda II. It's also an awesome game.
  11. Whoah, I already got posted after? haha. Here's an oldy but moldy but goldy:
  12. There are too many good beers to pick just one, my friend, but in general I like a good Amber, IPA, Porter, or Stout. So a darker beer. And my favorite brewing companies are probably Rogue Brewing Company and Bridgeport Brewing Company. With Rogue in particular, I like their Dead Guy Ale. Also, there's this Double Stout by Green Flash Brewing Company that I really like. Also, I'm not sure who makes 'em, but Bigfoots. So those are a few I suppose.
  13. What is sleep? Never heard of it. Burritos!

  15. So has anyone else stumbled across this whilst browsing the internet? It's a webcomic based in the world of Elder Scrolls, written in the style of some damn thing or another called "MS Paint Adventures." Basically, this dude is writing a story, but he also has a thread where his readers can input "commands" (which basically manifest in the comic as voices in whichever character the reader has control over at the moment; usually Katia Managan, the heroine of the story.) Sometimes what people suggest actually happens, although most of the time commands are manipulated so that the worst possible scenario that could come of said command happens. It's a fun read, but it's also rather depressing at times. I read through all of it over through all of it over the past few days, and really connected with the main character. She's really friggen' cute, but also accident and failure prone, and nearly everyone in the world is either a dick to her, indifferent to her, or very unforgiving of her when she makes a mistake. I mean, I realize she messes up really bad sometimes, but there are also times where she just says the wrong thing on accident and they flip on her. There's also this character named Asotil (A Soldier of the Imperial Legion) and he's pretty much amazing too-every edition he is in is pretty much my favorite edition of the comic, probably. He's also my current avy. He's crazy, but has a good heart, is hilarious, and is also a total bad ass. The first time Katia approaches him, he literally sweeps her off her feet I also like the inclusion of Quill Weave, who was one of my favorite background characters in Oblivion (mostly for "Whaddya want you... whadya want you... you... RAT?" Haha.) She's a lot more reserved and seemingly younger in this though. But yeah. Apparently, a large portion of the main audience of this comic likes it when things go bad for her. They think it's funny or something. Yeah, it's hilarious when the main character is just about to achieve happiness, only to fall flat on her face... Can you feel zeh schadenfreude, much? But really, the author has more control over where this is going than any of them. And I think that with writers, you can often see their personality come out a bit in their writings. The main character, if you're supposed to sympathize with him or her, is probably rather similar to the writer's own personality. The wise or intelligent characters represent the extent of said writer's wisdom or intelligence. And the overall tone/what the moral of the story is/whatever... well, if it's as cynical and dark as this comic often is, I wonder if the author has a rather dark and cynical take on our world. I wonder if he has been in spots like Katia, where his faith in humanity has been challenged by people being terrible, or what have you. Personally, I grew up with a very loving family and also a very loving group of friends who a great support to me through the good times and bad. Now I'm far away from them and sometimes I think I'm crazy for leaving them... but I wonder about people who have lived life without any kind of support from loved ones, and I wonder how I would've turned out without that support. I think I've turned out reasonably well as it is, but what if... (I don't know if this is considered "advertisement" or not. I haven't linked to the site or anything. I suppose if it is a warnable offense, I will be warned, but I guess I will take that chance. Also, I'm not sure what topic prefix this should be under, being a webcomic.... We'll say "books.")
  16. Well then, my next question is what is your plan for getting into med school?
  17. So what is your progress with Med School as of right now? EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot... 42?
  18. *What ways stuff are you going about learning to make music? Are you learning an instrument, or are you using a music program on the computer? Learning an instrument is hard, but keep it at it, and good luck. *Med School is what you actually want to do, or does it just seem like something good to do? Can you imagine yourself doing that for the rest of your life?
  19. 1 Pinkie Pie. Even though this season, she didn't really have a decent ep. I love her for her random though, and for her naivety and her sensitivity. Particularly like in the episode with the cakes and the episode with Cranky Doodle Donkey. Those are probably my 2 fav eps. 2. Rarity. She has really grown on me a lot throughout the seasons. All of her flaws have become endearing to me in some way, because she does have a good heart, and she means well. Suited for Success makes that clear. 3. Fluttershy. At one time, she was my fav I think. I find her shyness rather endearing, and I loved when she tried to flirt with the shopkeeper (I tell you right now, that would've worked on ME.) Also love when she asserts herself. She is an ah-dult in those situations. Mrs. Mom. 4. Apple Jack. Really, I think she's very close to the 3 above her as far as my opinions go. She's also a very endearing character. She's one of those strong, but vulnerable characters, and I love those characters. I also love any time she's put in an awkward situation, like in Spike At Your Service. Some people probably see it as out of character, since the whole time she's skirting around the truth so that Spike's feelings won't get hurt, but I like it, because she's obviously uncomfortable with it the whole time. It's cute. 5. Twilight. I like Twilight alright. She has her cute moments. Nothing really wrong with her. 6. Rainbow Dash. I used to really not like her, but as the series has progressed, she's gotten better I suppose. I just think she's pretty bratty and obnoxious.
  20. I told you I was gonna ask some introspective questions. SO: *What are you doing in your life right now to make yourself happy? Working towards any goals? Doing things to better yourself? *Where do you want to be in the next 10 years? And where do you see yourself in the next 10 years? *What do you think of the theory that Ultimecia is in fact Rinoa? Is it foolish? Are the people who ask this question grasping at straws?
  21. She did a good job. It's kinda odd that they weren't there at the forming of Equestria, seeing as they are the ones that control the moon and sun, and they are seemingly immortal. Maybe they were made by team of super scientist unicorns? Or super mage unicorns? Genetically engineered to fulfill the needs of Equestria. But when they were created, they turned on their masters.
