  1. Honestly, I feel like I could name all of them, especially if I could look at an unlabeled map and just work my way across. Thanks 4th grade geography.
  2. I've sunk way too much time into jumping from one watchmojo video to the next without even thinking about it. They're entertaining when you have nothing better to do/watch.
  3. No, I am really looking forward to Christmas! It will be the first time I'll have been home for longer than 3 days in over 6 months, so it will be really nice to be home, reconnect with my friends, see my family, sleep in my old bed, that sort of thing
  4. I enjoy contemporary Latin music; its so passionate and flows so well, even if I can't understand everything that they say.
  5. I'll go with groundhog day, because its completely pointless. I love Columbus Day, if only because I get a three day weekend because of it! XD
  6. Gum all the way. I swear I must have an addiction, I can go through a whole pack so fast like nobody's business.
  7. Many people have asserted that the fandom will remain for a while after the show ends. That's most likely true. I wouldn't worry if I were you, five more seasons is a long time anyways.
  8. The Big Bang Theory. Nobody I know likes it, but I just can't help watching it sometimes
  9. There's a great mall with a movie theater near my campus, and so when we can leave the yard on Saturdays, I love going to the mall and seeing a movie with friends! "Fury" was free for all of us last weekend because it is Veterans Day!
  10. Last year, I thought that it was my senior year of high school, what with all the AP classes, and college applications, and my parents living out of the state. But then again, it was so relaxed, and a really fun chill time; the best part of high school by far. Even though I'm not even done with fall semester, I'm going to say that Plebe Year at the Naval Academy is going to be the most stressful year of education, higher or otherwise, I ever have. Between the stress of a very large and arduous course load, having to compete on a competitive traveling club sport, and doing extra military stuff like workouts and memorizing extra material to qualify for officer commissioning, I have very little breathing room in my schedule, and what free time I have comes out of my sleep. It means I have to function on three hours of sleep a night on average, something I never had to in high school. Hopefully the next three years are better...

    movies/tv Danny Phantom

Of course I remember it! Danny Phantom was my shit back in the day! I do wish it hadn't ended so soon though...
  12. Personally, I think McDonalds isn't very appetizing, but I've eaten it when its the most convenient option. I want to avoid eating it as much as possible as I get older, since my metabolism now has no issue with it, but when I'm older I know it wouldn't be able to handle that kind of nasty food.
  13. A really easy way to get max stars in GTA 5 is to hop on the train that periodically runs around the map. (A good place to get on is the hospital in Sandy Shores, the train tracks run right by it) From there, just shoot at cars as you go by, and soon you'll have all the police you could want! Just make sure you stocked up on RPGs, minigun ammo, assault rifle, and machine gun ammo, as well as body armor. If you do it right, you should never die on these train rampages, because the cops can't get onto the train to kill you.
  14. have you tried googling those fundraisers and charity donation groups Bronies have done? Nearly everything Brony related is documented well online, so starting with online resources would be your best bet for finding information.
  15. Usually at least once a week. Either I'm up past that time talking to my girlfriend and/or I am studying and I reach the point where sleeping would just make me more tired. If I'm up past three, that means I'll be getting less than two hours of sleep that night, since I have to wake up at 5 to workout. At that point there's no point in going to bed, so I turn it into an all nighter.
  16. We aren't allowed to have facial hair at the Naval Academy, although upperclassmen often get away with some substantial stubble. However, since its November, we are allowed to grow out mustaches. I opted not to, since I imagine I'd be very creepy with a stache.
  17. Coffee is disgusting. But I still drink it, because a majority of mornings in any given week I'm waking up at 5:30 am and going nonstop until I go to sleep at around 2:00 am. There's no way I'd function with no coffee!
  18. I'm really excited to see the Seahawks and the Giants play on the 9th! And the 49ers and the Saints too, that should be a good game as well! EDIT: Crap, note to self, next time, read the other replies and get context before commenting! On topic, probably whatever the next Call of Duty is!
  19. Me doing various things at the Naval Academy! (Having fun on the Fencing Team) (Not so much fun being had at a Parade) (And me wearing my Summer Whites for the first time after summer training!) Sorry to do a picture dump like that, its just my first time really being on here in a long time and I felt like it
  20. I care a LOT what others think. Might have something to do with the fact that peer rankings and reviews factor heavily into my aptitude grade and thus impact my future opportunities and options post graduation and over the summers a great deal.
  21. I wish I could sit like that! Haha the only option available to me is option C, except I'm on the front four inches of the chair and have to keep my back totally straight, hands in my lap when I'm not using then for anything.
  22. Hey everyone, it's great to be back on here and posting again! My question is simple, what do you think of Yik Yak, the anonymous location based forum app that is especially popular at high school and college campuses? Personally, I really enjoy the Yak. It's used by a huge number of people here at the Naval Academy, and it's a great way for us to vent our frustration about stupidity up and down the chain of command, share information around the yard far quicker than brigade emails, and just get a laugh in throughout the day. Life here can be less than fun sometimes, but yik yak makes it worth it, especially since it has developed a culture all it's own.
  23. My dad reads Tom Clancy stuff all the time, so I'll give that a look. Also, what's the Warhammer 40k universe? Oh yeah, you mentioned that one to me! Would you be mad if I cheated and just watched the movie? I'm not a huge fantasy fan, save for Harry Potter, I usually prefer stories a bit more grounded in reality, but I think I'll give His Dark Materials a try. And also The Book Thief, since you emphasized I should read that one so much!
  24. So I will be attending the Naval Academy this fall for college, and one issue Plebes (freshman) there face is a severe limit on outside media. No movies, music, video games, or other mediums of entertainment are allowed. Internet is strictly monitored and regulated as well. One exception is books, so I figure I'll do a lot of reading in my downtime when I'm not studying for classes, working out, or doing training. So I guess my question is, what sorts of books would you guys suggest for light reading? I'm not looking for deep, insightful, or even intelligent books, just fun reads that will entertain me. One thing to consider is that the books should probably not be foreign or anti-US in nature, they wouldn't take kindly to that. Thanks!
  25. I wouldn't go so far as to say that. Gender roles are quite benign as long as they don't have to be strictly adhered to. I find nothing wrong with the notion that guys should be "big and strong" (our biology suggests we should be) but there's nothing wrong with not being big and strong either. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't conform to gender stereotypes, but whenever gender is brought up nowadays, there's one irritating knee jerk reaction: Gender roles are bad, and people who conform to their gender roles are blind, stupid, or oppressing themselves. That sort of stance is just silly.
