  1. Hey guys, quick question for anyone who works out regularly. I've always been a cardio kind of guy, and did a lot of running, but since I'm going to the Naval Academy for college this coming summer, I need to improve my anaerobic abilities and put on some extra muscle. Can anyone suggest good dietary supplements and especially protein additives, shakes, powders, or whatever that you think are good for helping you build muscle mass? Thank you, and all help is appreciated!
  2. Well, this, combined with the embarrassing light the fandom was cast in because of the official Brony Documentary a while back guarantees I'm never telling anyone about my liking this show. No way I'm gonna let myself get typecasted as a stereotypical brony, like the ones these documentaries show off. I want people to keep hanging out with me and not thinking I'm creepy or weird or childish, which is the vibe these sorts of documentaries cast on Bronies.
  3. No flaw stood out. I enjoyed the episode overall, and I didn't see any glaring flaws. Maybe if I'd been deliberately nitpicking or over-analyzing to find problems I'd have seen some, but I don't watch the show that way. I liked this episode!
  4. Holy crap, that was predicted like more than half a year ago!! Dsanders is psychic..
  5. If I'm feeling a bit lonely, I text/call a friend or my girlfriend and see if I can go hang out with anyone. Barring that, I hop on Xbox Live and play with my friends, since some of my buds are always online.
  6. Of course rape is a taboo, its one of the most heinous crimes a person can commit!
  7. Agreed, but 45.2% of the population isn't Atheist/Agnositc, it's closer to 5-10 percent. So the proportion of people on here who are atheist is statistically significantly higher than the population as a whole.
  8. I'm a Catholic who picks and chooses what parts of doctrine and dogma I like and don't like. For example, I have no objections to gay marriage, provided nobody forces churches that don't want to do it to conduct it. Overall though I've been drawn closer to the faith again since Francis became Pope, because he's more in touch with what a Catholic in the 21st Century really is like. And dang, the percent of Atheists on here compared to the population as a whole is staggering! Maybe being a Brony and Atheism share an association. Either way, lots of "euphoric" people on here!
  9. True, even if Fox is like the cheapest character ever besides Sonic!
  10. Tell me about it! I practically stopped playing as her for a while! Ah, the innocent sexism of youth... #casualmisogyny
  11. Samus Aran. My first encounter with her was in Super Smash Bros, and I was so confused and dissapointed when I found out my favorite character was a girl! My brother made fun of me to no end for that!
  12. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. That would be too weird and strange, physically and mentally. So my response is a nice warm mug of NOPE. Besides, I already have an awesome girlfriend, why would I want to date a pony?

    general media Most sarcastic character?

Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Self proclaimed "Meat and Sarcasm Guy".
  14. I dunno, I never had an imaginary friend, so I can't really think authoritatively on what you should do, but it sounds just like you're growing up and your imaginary friend is starting to fade. That's not a bad thing, it just means you're growing up. Most adults don't have an imaginary friend, so its normal to lose touch with this childlike part of your imagination. I'd say just let it happen personally.
  15. @, This thread is gonna get locked soon from serial escalation of both sides, so I'll toss my two cents (not bits) in before it does get locked. I understand a lot of what you're saying. (I really, really do) I squirm uncomfortably at the sight of stereotypical bronies sporting neckbeards and fedoras, and whining about a friendzone that doesn't exist, and being "men's rights" activists and whatnot. I know lots and lots of fans take things way too far, what with the R34 garbage and the sexual plushies and all that trash. I get it. I absolutely abhor many aspects of this fandom. I barely consider myself a member of it. I don't look the part, act the part, or "feel" the part. I don't troll the internet, I go outside and play soccer and go on dates. I consider myself "normal", and much more well adjusted than many nutty bronies. HOWEVER, that qualifying statement aside, there are much better ways to address these issues than going off on tangents and launching ad hominems against people. You're making your points in a very blunt and brazen way, and that's not the way to communicate these issues. If anything, it just makes the issues worse. And its not really your place or my place to call people out on their behavior. This is the Internet after all, and this isn't meant to be serious business. Admittedly, many bronies take the show way too serious, but you're taking their taking it too serious too seriously. You're doing the thing you hate. I'm just saying, its not anyone's place to call someone out just for being.... weird. We may not like it (I know I don't), but its their thing and their choice.
  16. Trust me, I understand this. The Brony fandom can be downright humiliating to be associated with, and I know for a fact I'd never want to be classified in public as one (Hence why I never tell anyone about it). I mean, I'd rather not be thought of as an antisocial awkward mentally challenged basement dwelling misogynistic neckbeard. Obviously not all Bronies are like this, but the stereotype is there and it must be based at least somewhat in truth, so I'd rather not be a part of it.
  17. Looks are critical to me in relationships. I gave myself an 8 for looks as well. I'm just a very visual person. I care what I look like and what my significant others look like.
  18. Unique =/= special. I agree wholeheartedly with this speech. Unless you truly are contributing to humanity in monumental ways, as in, you're on the far right side of the normal distribution curve, you're not special. Unique? Yes. But Unique isn't a good thing always. Some people just need to get that through their heads and get off their self-aggrandized soap boxes and pedestals.
  19. Well, since I'm almost certainly going to be attending the Naval Academy, I'm just watching videos to try and get a taste of the stuff I'll have to endure during the first summer and year there. Here's the latest one I watched.
  20. That is absolutely terrible! I've heard stories of people baking razor blades into cookies and giving them out at Halloween, and this sounds similar. Some people are just messed up. I hope whoever did this gets caught, and didn't put any nasty chemicals on those blades!
  21. For me, the "favorite villain" will always be a tie between Scar and Frollo.
  22. I don't like online currencies. They are a bubble, backed by nothing, (at least other fiat money is backed by the considerable economic might of countries such as the United States or unions like the EU, so they have a degree of legitimacy) and not liquid at all. They are extremely volatile and have absolutely no inherit value at all, so I don't trust them at whatsoever.
  23. Alicorns lose. Period. A flying unicorn against intercontinental ballistic missiles, stealth bombers, heavy tanks, and thousands of infantry? Please, all four princesses together would be turned into glue within minutes. However, that's all speculation, because we don't know what those shields are capable of blocking. I'm still siding with the US Military.
  24. They aren't going on a rampage dude. They took down one channel that had show quality animations that could be mistaken for the real thing, and negatively impact the show's image. I don't think you'll be in any trouble or encounter any issues. Just do what you were going to do.
  25. I dislike the overanalysis that people like Digibrony do anyways, so I don't mind in the slightest that he's leaving. And if anyone tries to say he's "depriving us of a great analytic", then you need to get your head examined. Its a fandom, and it was a hobby of his. Interests change, and nobody can force him to do something he doesn't want to anymore. Let him do what he wants to. Although I never did like how lots of people in this fandom let people like Digibrony decide whether they liked the episode or not for them.
