  1. I'm now writing the second part of my only crossover, which can be found here: http://mlpforums.com/topic/5676-a-kalena-in-equestria/ The next story(wall of text, sorry): When the starship Templar suddenly ends up in Equestria on a mission to look for the monarch's student after being sent through a hole in space, the first Kálena will have trouble deciding whether to go back and lose his new friends, and finally stop being stared at, or stay in Equestria. Things start to get out of...

... hand once the Templar starts a war with Equestria. Will the first Kálena, along with his new friends, be able to stop the war and still stay, or will he be forced to return to Káellus?

Well, it isn't that great and all, but someone will probably like it.

  2. Can't ANYONE sing with a falsetto voice? Anyone?

      Anyone else?

      Who can sing, I mean?

I mean no disrespect or anything! But I saw his comment just seconds before you posted the "anyone else" one, and I was wondering why you weren't responding after that. lol.

      I was doing something else.

And I never saw that comment, I didn't reload the page.

      Sorry about that?

  3. Thanks! Well, tomorrow I'll try and see if I can create a screensaver. I expect a bit a lot of terminal stuff. And maybe I'll be creative and design something differently, not quite like the HAL 9000 interface, but similar to it. And with a purple-y light for the camera eye. Just because I can. Now is the real good night. See you tomorrow. Again.
  4. This was written at 1 in the morning, so I might make a few mistakes. In grammar and others. I just remembered I had an swf file of the interface-thing of HAL 9000, the AI in 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the others. Then I remembered that I had workspaces. So I did this: I'll admit, it's not a good recreation, but that was the only thing I did at the time. I just thought that I might share that with you, so here it is. Well, I'm off to bed now. See you tomorrow.
  5. Or I could just create the normal size that I use, which is 2000x1300. I'll make the default wallpaper size I use, and you can see if you can use it. If not, I'll change it to your monitor size. I guess I better go and change this topic to 'Minimalistic cutie mark wallpapers.' And work on the other wallpapers for the rest of the mane six.
  6. Hm. I forgot how to check for that in Windows(assuming you have it), so just take a screenshot and check the size of that. It should be the same size of your screen. That's the only way I know how to find out.
  7. Hey. I started making simple wallpapers with the cutie marks of the mane six. I'm putting them up here for anyone to use however they want. Just don't claim it as your own, though. Twilight: Rarity: Applejack: Rainbow Dash: Fluttershy: Pinkie Pie: I arranged the order of the wallpapers to show who is best pony, according to me. (Twilight is best pony, followed by Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, then Pinkie Pie) I might make other wallpapers using the cutie marks of OCs, but that will only be if some people ask.
  8. My jaw is locked again. Apparently, I got the wrong video format. It seems to run... better than the others, so I assume that it has a lower resolution. NOES

      Talemage

      Nope, just something with saturation.

  9. My father got angry at our relatives. They live here for free, and my mother even has to pay them to do some work. And our grandmother has to do everything herself. She has to clean her own room, prepare her own food..

  10. I would have to say Twilight, because I prefer the intellectual type myself. I never really liked cocky, smug and arrogant people. Aside form being the most sensible, she's also a bit modest and very studious(though we know that already). Not to mention very serious when it comes to deadlines.. like me.
  11. *wants to RP, but only RPed once before, on a different forum, that also had an RP subforum*

It's alright, just hop into an RP and if you need any help, ask.

But not right now. The light is dead.(midnight when I posted)

Or I could just do an old-fashioned roleplay with pencils, paper, a few friends, and dice.

  12. I might be getting a scanner! ~squee~ I still need someone who can sing in a falsetto voice. http://mlpforums.com/topic/13015-jonsi-tornado-lmms-cover-work-in-progress-male-falsetto-singer-needed/ If anyone can recreate the drum kit stuff for Tornado(song by Jónsi) in FL studio, then please do it. I suck at drum kits. I already have DJ Clock Work trying to help me. Thanks, by the way. <3 (what... Loveheart made me like the <3 symbol)

lol, I tried to cram 3 statuses in one.

  13. At the moment, an unfinished cover of 'Tornado' by Jónsi. The real one is here:
  14. Well, I went over the Software Center(I use Ubuntu), and I found this program called MyPaint. This is a pressure sensitive Wacom tablet paint program. It comes with a large brush collection including charcoal and ink to emulate real media, but the highly configurable brush engine allows you to experiment with your own brushes and with not-quite-natural painting. It's nice, but I really now prefer to do my art by hand. On a sketchbook. And taking a picture and uploading it to deviantART. And wishing for a scanner, and for someone to digitally color my scanned work.
  15. I have sketched my avatar already. Now I need a scanner and someone to digitally color it.

  16. Ouch. It's always good to have a backup on an external hard drive.
  17. Allow me to present Anwar. Not the best name ever, but I happen to like it. (lol picture is too big. Just look it up on google or something :/ ) MSi Wind U100 Notebook 11 inch, 1024x600 resolution display 300 GB hard drive 2.0 GiB of memory(RAM) Two Intel Atom processors Around 3 hours and 30 minutes of battery life 3 USB ports And uh... Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller Not sure why that is needed.. Not exactly the best laptop for gaming, but it's good for doing whatever it is that I need. Note: My next laptop will be named 'Tecai.' I've decided that for at least a month already. And possibly, I'll be seeing 'tield@tecai' whenever I open the terminal then. Oh, and I absolutely hate the Super button. That's the button with the Windows logo in a ring. Hopefully I'll be able to get one that has Ubuntu as the pre-installed OS. In my point of view, I find Ubuntu better than Windows. Not for gaming, but for my own stuff.
  18. Hm. Ever since I switched to Ubuntu, the only times I ever got a virus was -When my school's computer lab insisted on scanning the USB. After school, I scanned my USB on my laptop, and found a virus. That's one reason why I don't let anyone else use my USB. -When I brought my laptop to school to present an instrumental cover of Winter Wrap Up. My classmate brought her USB, saying she has her presentation on it. I scan it, and found out there was a virus(trojan, I think). For Windows, I remember that some program that had a virus caused the system to crash, displaying the blue screen of death. We had to open it by connecting to it from another laptop. Then, a few days later, it happened again. I don't recall what caused it to display the blue screen, but it stopped after the second time. Actually, I'm not sure that it happened twice. Oh well. Well, aside from that, no other viruses from the halls of Ubuntu. The only times I got a virus was from other computers, when they checked my USB, or I checked another. The design of the system(Linux) itself makes it very difficult to become infected. A single user could cause local damage to his or her files by running a virus on his or her system; however, this would be an isolated instance rather than something could spread out of control. In addition, virtually all Linux vendors offer free on-line security updates. The general philosophy of the Linux community has been to address possible security issues before they become a problem rather than hoping the susceptibility will go unnoticed.
  19. I think it worked once. But I don't remember what settings I used.
  20. I already looked for help on the Ubuntu forums. None of them worked. And no, my Ubuntu isn't up to date. I figured it will be a bit ridiculous to update every six months, so I'm only going to update to every long term release. And even then, I won't update. I'm going to boot from a live USB and install over everything(wiping the disk's contents). I don't use Windows, which is still on my laptop, but I already made a backup of the desktop there. I'm going to manually copy the folders that I want to bring to 12.04. I already asked the question to the one who runs the server, so if it still doesn't work if he tells me to do something, then I'll try again once I install 12.04. Did what ever work?
  21. I thought some people would say that. :/ Yeah, I had two people help me with java before, so I guess some people would also know about this thing. Oh, and Thunderbird will only be a last resort if I can't get Evolution working within a month. Yes, a month. with my last problem(Mythruna), I tried to get it working for a few weeks until I noticed that something that I need already is installed in the next release of Ubuntu, so I finally stopped then and now I'm waiting(12 more days since I posted this). Did anyone else use any other mail program to check and send mail on a different server?
  22. This is not a thread about Evolution and Creationism. Just thought that I'd point that out first. To keep the people's privacy, I have changed a few things here. I'm not a complete idiot to Ubuntu, but I still get problems every now and then. I started using Evolution, a mail program in Ubuntu, because I get suspicious that Yahoo steals information. So I asked someone I know if that person could create an account for me on his server, and he did the next day. Now, using the settings that someone I know uses for Thunderbird, which are these: Receiving Email Server Type: IMAP Server: imap.servername.(com) (of course, 'servername' is something else. Just for privacy and stuff) Security - SSL encryption (Either None, SSL, or TLS. There's no SSL/TLS encryption) Authentication type: Password Sending Email Server Type: SMTP Server: smtp.servername.(com) Server requires authentication: Yes Security: SSL encryption Authentication type: Login (username is the entire address[name@whatever.(com)]) Now, when I try to send an email to my father, for instance, it prompts for the IMAP and SMTP password, which has been set by the person who runs the server, who gave it to me. Either the password that was given to me was typed incorrectly(I doubt that), I tried several times, or the password isn't the one the server is looking for. The latter is probably the reason. I looked for help on the internet already, and none of those worked. I set up an exception for IMAP and SMTP on my firewall, and still nothing. Does anyone else(who use Evolution, of course) have this problem? If you need more information which I haven't given already, then feel free to ask. The easier way might be to create a server and email system on my laptop. That way I can have full control over the email system. I rarely turn off my laptop. Of course, I'm not going to do this, but it's a possibility. I'll also be able to create and host my own website, which has something to do with my literature, art and music. I already asked the question to the person who runs the server. Waiting for a reply, but that is one thing that isn't so important right now, so I give him all the time he needs.
