I have a strong urge to sew a whole new wardrobe. Dear Urge, my wallet disagrees with you.

Cutting the edges of a hole in one of my socks off so when I mend it, the edges will be cleaner. My goal is to mend all of my socks this week.

It's been raining for most of the day but I think there's some expected snow storms later this week.

Streaming is honestly the more accessible option for the show and it'd most likely reach a larger audience by being online instead of tied to a channel on cable across various countries. Not many people that I know personally actually have cable anymore, most of them depend on the internet to really watch anything. I certainly can't afford both cable and internet, that's for sure.

I'll add onto this. I made a new mask, it's a plaid one and it's a lot easier to breathe in than the one I got from the hospital. I think the way that one sits on my face pretty much seals off any fresh air that could come in and I just end up having a difficult time breathing. I typically just wear it these days when I have to wash the one that I made, since I live in an apartment building and I have to wear a mask when going about the hallways and such. I like my new mask though, been wearing it for a few months now. I remember ordering the fabric a few years ago so I figured why not use it for a mask or two? I had to do two test masks to make sure things turned out ok for the final project(basically play around with the length of the elastic). Also, the colours of the mask make me think of the trans pride flag so it's a very subtle pride mask lol.

Bought some hygiene products(somehow I got shampoo last time I shopped for stuff instead of conditioner, this time I got conditioner) and I also bought a new umbrella since my old one broke beyond repair and the new one is comically large. I underestimated it's size and now I have basically a patio umbrella for a rain umbrella... Sucks in windy conditions since it basically acts like a kite lmao.

I'm thinking about soft pretzels.

A bit chilly and cloudy, we're having a break from the rain it would appear. I think it's around 7C right now...?

I had this dream about taming monsters and trying to find a new house to live in with my mom and brother. This one house was really cool, it was a mostly open concept on the first floor with a generous pantry, the bedrooms were all upstairs and there was even a open space where I was really excited over thinking I could just use it for sewing. I was even jumping, I was so excited lol. I don't remember much of the other houses we looked at but that one really stuck with me. We were in this small yet familiar suburb and we were all looking through the city for a new home. I kinda get the feeling that this is the same exact city where most of my other dreams happen, it's really weird I know but it feels really familiar. Like, I see old landmarks from past dreams in new dreams and I even think back to old locations where dreams have happened before. Like that one dream with the Asian guy and the comic shop? I thought to myself in last night's dream about going there to get some comic books since they're just down the road a few blocks. I even saw really old landmarks from dreams that I sorta remember having earlier this year... It's really weird...

What I'm trying to say if look at things you like and try to go for that, you don't need to completely copy the show itself or even other artists. Just try to find a style that works for you, something that'll be easiest for the way you draw. You don't need to look like 100% similar to the show, you should be allowed to take artistic license with it and do something that you want to do.

Oh, the hooves are fine, I was just talking about the shoulder fluffy bits may or may not have been covering the body connecting with the neck on the opposite side of the body. The way it's drawn now makes the spine look a bit more concave than it probably should be but that's just a really minor thing I noticed. What other colour were you thinking about for the mane and tail? Maybe while you can, you could try using different colours???

I think it'd be a good idea to just study fanart that you like of the show and try to change your style organically. Just practice with it, try to add elements from it that you like. Your art style doesn't need to be a lookalike of the show or even well-known pony artists, I think we need more variety of styles.

I think if you wanted to keep the colour theme, the mane and tail could be a darker colour? But again, it's kinda hard to make that decision on a WIP. Personally, I like designing ponies who's eye colour and a part of the mane/tail match up, so the golden eye's throwing me a bit off lol but that's just personal preference. Is their magic aura golden? Is that why you went with the golden eye? That'd be really cool if you did!! Also, I think there's something wrong with the perspective? From the angle the pony's standing at, you'd see the back connecting with the shoulder that isn't visible, the neck and shoulder floof are fine the way they are but it's just a little detail that I noticed. But again, I bet that's just personal preference? Thinking about it more as I write this, it's probably just the shoulder floof covering that little part lol... Speaking of little details, the eyelash wouldn't be as visible if the hair's supposedly over it, or were you trying to go for an anime style eye where the eye's still visible from behind a fringe or some other hair? I do agree that there's just something about it that seems a little bit off but idk what in particular? I don't really see much wrong with a brown and green pony though since my main oc is brown and green so I may be a bit biased lol... Was there a particular theme you were trying to go for with this oc? Beyond that, it's a great piece, I adore the shading and how soft it looks, also the tail looks like it's giving a thumbs down lol.

Deviantart, twitter, instagram are great places to gather a following, you'll need to find a good printing place if you want to sell physical prints and other such things. Most people just use redbubble for that, you can also sell things like stickers and whatnot. Getting commissions from the start will no doubt be difficult, especially if you don't have much of a following. I'd also suggest upping the dpi on whatever you're doing, it'd also make for a cleaner looking piece if you ever decide to make prints of it.

Those custom Converse are REALLY tempting but I need to get some proper shoes first but I love the fact that they have an option for custom shoes.

I was kneading dough, making bagels again. Idk if my place is warm enough to ensure a good rise from my dough though... It's been snowing all day outside and I still have yet to turn on the heating lol...

I'd also like to get rid of the whole menstruation thing. Sure, I may not have had a period in a few years but me taking T won't 100% keep it away and it could always come back. So, to get rid of that problem, I'd rather not have it anymore or need to worry about it coming back. I think getting rid of balding would be cool too or maybe potentially inheriting Alzheimers? For balding, I don't know if I inherited it from anyone but I just want to nip that in the bud before it ever becomes a problem, I don't think anyone in my family has had problems with balding but it's something I worry about lol... The whole Alzheimer's thing speaks for itself imo, my grandma had it and I worry about getting it myself. I guess I'd choose getting rid of Alzheimer's if I inherited it, balding is such an aesthetic problem to have and probably isn't as life changing as memory problems would be.... So... I guess I'd choose to get rid of memory problems.

I'd really suggest taking some time to explore the RP area, there's a whole section dedicated to out of character discussions surrounding your RP. So you can go over there and make a thread about wanting to start your own thread on the RP section.
