I just have some sort of strange feeling on any sort of fan fiction. I'm not against it, but most of it isn't that great. I've read a few, but never really tried writing any. I do have a vague idea for one, but I have nothing beyond a basic synopsis and characters to include. -

It's the difference between saying "When I was a little girl" and "California Gurls [Girls]". One refers to age strictly, one is slang. -
Yeah, it does look a little squiggly. First time drawing with Photoshop, though? It's better than I could do. I also need to get a tablet, seems more natural than drawing with a mouse.

I've stumped it a few times. It has a lot of OCs for some reason, but it couldn't get Bubble Berry. It couldn't get Bill Corbett from MST3K. It took it eighty questions, but it somehow got Prince of Space.

I spent a decent amount of time trying to get all twenty-six without repeats, but I managed it. A lot of the numbers looked the same, that was the problem. Has the USA gotten anything other than wave 1? I checked four or five Wal-Marts and found it only in one. -
I really liked Spike's "adventuring" scene, it was hilarious on all parts. The tea time and black sheep parts made me laugh, especially the latter. -
Williams did write Hearth's Warming Eve, which is one of my favorite episodes. Then again, she wrote Mare Do Well... I don't particularly like her writing style, but she's written mostly for shows that rely on a very different kind of humor and characterization, (i.e. Camp Lazlo and Spongebob) so it's understandable. At least it's better than her previous episodes. Rarity was a bit over the top in this episode, I'll admit. Spike wanted to hang out with the older dragons rather than the ones closer to his age because he thought they were "cool", I guess.

Spike found out what the Mane Six already knew: He wasn't like other dragons, and he probably would never fit in with them like he did the ponies in Ponyville. He just had to figure that out for himself.

I just find it strange that they advertise the show on the toys, but the toys are nothing like the show. You think someone at Hasbro would put two and two and two together and realize that they are sitting on a gold mine. -
I think they're just trying to clear out the previous generation toys. The franchise couldn't have been doing too well before FiM, so they have tons of inventory to get rid of. As for plushes, it's probably not worth their time to make a large, show accurate one with no gimmick (like storytelling). Smaller ones may be possible. They did give DJ PON3 her own toy, and she was only in one episode. So they are getting better.

Oh, and I sort of expected Spike to actually get his wings this episode, and that being a major reason why he wants to migrate. I suppose they are saving that in a similar way to when the CMCs get their cutie marks? Still a good character development episode, though.

This was a good Spike episode, it definitely lent more insight to his character, and showed how young he really is. I didn't expect him to get a pet, but I guess he was the only main character without one. He definitely has the best, though.
