Oh yeah. They sure looked terrified and were crying their eyes out, especially that poor colt who was disturbed from under his cardboard box 'home' /End sarcasm. But seriously, those kids were orphans and, in one case, homeless. None of them looked the least big unhappy about going away with Luna, who was just trying to help out the most affected by Discords rule. -
Basically, Luna wanted to help out the poor fillies hurt the most after Discords rule, and make a new kingdom, helping them out. But Celestia refused, thinking a divide in kingdoms would lead to a divide in harmony and togetherness which was sorely needed. Luna says, screw that, I'm doing it anyway. According to the description, most likely Celestia's reaction to that was one of the reasons Luna's banishment become necessary, so Celestia basically created her own enemy. Feeling so bad for poor Luna right now.

I know that it's a cartoon, but just look at her. Like I said in my first post, I don't think it really stands out or takes away from the designs of the ponies we know and love. -
This topic was inspired by a user named @JellyBean, who gave me permission to use her OC for this. While you may or may not find her OC as adorable as I do, you can't deny that their is a definite uniqueness in her OC by giving her actual hooves. (Granted, I don't many OC's, so I don't know if this already is a common thing) The design is a simple addition, it's not overly obtrusive. Some may feel it takes away from the cartoony feel a bit by adding in needless realism, but I like it. In terms of the show, Celestia and Luna and even Cadence SEEM to have hooves, but going by the flashback with filly Twilight where Cadence DOESN'T have them, we have to conclude that they're purely a fashion accessory and not real, unless Luna REALLY likes making her hooves sparkle. Anger, hatred, the world against you Walls closing in, feeling so small even the ants tower above me Wondering when I'm going to be the next to be squashed The volcano in my stomach, bubbling, fiery The dynamite I could not spit, imploding, Destroying myself slowly from within My self fighting against myself Wanting to just be free, to not be here anymore To be anyone but me as I reflect back on all my wrongs The slightest twitch and I'll be under attack All will turn to me and fire their pains and words Any movement into the light, and all will see me as I am, in my entirety So I slink into the shadows. I sit in the dark corner holding my knees Hoping someone will show, someone will call Someone will look and say, "Where'd he go?" But when they do I just hold tighter, pull myself further away I don't want anyone to see I just want to be alone, I don't want to care, I want it all to go away I don't want to do anything. I'm not saying the CMC are going to draft her, but if they know of a blank flank that's close to one of their friends they would definitely try to get her to join, just like they did when Babs showed up. -

Hey it's not like characters haven't played roles for many years before. Kevin Conroy has been voicing animated batman and now the Arkham series games for 20 years. I certainly don't WANT the changes, but it's a reality we have to accept as a possibility.

I know that. I was just making a comparison because it seems the adopted kid would either take over the show, or show up once in a prominent role, then get downgraded to a side character that rarely shows up. And it's not like there aren't PLENTY of movies/TV shows that have to deal with raising a baby, so that's not really a good excuse anyway. And if it IS a blank flank, then you know the CMC would snatch him/her up right and make her a member. See, this is exactly the issue I'm talking about. This introduction is already starting to jam the new kid into everything and she/he doesn't even exist. If they did it well, I'm not opposed to the idea,but it's likely not going to happen for the reasons I stated. -

I would be all for the adoption angle, but then the issue comes that the writers are either going to A: Depending on the age of the filly, the character will have to deal with that responsibility of not getting as much free time, or having to give her to a foalsitter, or be a CMC playmate so the character can still have their own episode from time to time. B:Get one dedicated episode then almost no screen time after(Ex: Pinkie and the Cakes babies) -

While there's no guarantee that any changed in voice actors/actresses are coming in the near future, it's always a possibility, whether it be for medical reasons, death, a contract dispute, or whatever else. Compounding the issue further is that 4 of the mane 6 are voiced by two VA's, so they would need two replacements for Pinkie/Flutters, or AJ/RD. So my polls are about what you think your reaction would be, and what direction you'd want the new VA to take, Would you like them to try to be a carbon copy impersonator of the character, or distance themselves from the previous voice with a style that still fits. Me personally, I don't know how I'd feel. All the voices for all the important characters are perfect. The CMC, the Mane 6, Celestia, and Luna, Cadence, Shining armor. I think every one of them is awesome, and it would probably be very offsetting to start watching seasons 4 and beyond and suddenly hearing a new voice come out of their mouths. That being said, though, I'd give them a chance. But I don't think anyone else could capture the magic of the original VA's, but I'm undecided on whether I'd want a copied voice or a new sounding voice. So what do you all think?

So if StormXF3 actually does follow through and releases this movie like he says, would you watch it, or would you want someone else to screen it for you first to see if it's going to be worth watching? I'm banking on this guys skill, especially with LittleShyFIM on his team. I don't know most of the people on his team list. For me I think the issue is less about the animation, since he's shown to be skilled, but about the voices now. While I loved MicTheMicrophone's reading of it, his RD voice could sometimes be a little grating during her emotional lines. So I hope they find a good VA for her. About money issues you mentioned, I don't see that it comes too much into play here. Most of it will just be him filming either his house or outside and talking to himself, then greenscreeninging in Rainbow later. It shouldn't require a lot of props.outside of the all mighty cardboard box and a photo album, which are very cheap. If he already had the mics, camera, and animation programs like he seems to, I just don't see a big amount of money going into this, but then I again I've never tried to film a movie so maybe I don't know. -
Well, it's not an OC. It's a baby Scootaloo. The gist of it is me combining Scoot's most popular fanon(orphaned/adopted and can't fly) into one scene. Scoot's parents, not native to the area and thus not knowing the dangers, are flying above the everfree forest, and get attacked by something that lives in there. The mother loses her grip on baby scootaloo after crashing into a tree trying to get away from her attacker, and she winds up being thrust to the ground, the blanket wrapped around her getting caught on a tree branch stopping her fall just enough, but she winds up landing on her wings and getting knocked out. She's found later by an elderly mare who gets her to the hospital and later adopts her. Although her wings heal up, because of the damage at such a young age, her wings don't grow in correctly and that's why she has such trouble flying. So basically I want the aftermath of the crash as the picture. It's a bit of a depressing picture idea, but I kinda want it for myself. I have the image in my head, but I'd like to see it for real. I guess you didn't check the link I put in my reply. I have all the info there. If you don't like depressing pictures I don't want to force you to do it. I'm a real bully to poor Scootaloo throughout most of it, never letting her enjoy her victories for long, but she becomes a much stronger pony for overcoming her trials. And I'm not a person who EVER writes a downer ending.

Well, I don't know if you've ever heard of Parry Gripp, but they released a song called 'derp face' Cue internet and a derpy video of the short 26 second song. One user, using the youtube username Derpy Hooves, wrote that they loved the song and was going to watch it everyday. Some scoffed, but he persevered. Around halfway through his count he had to change his account to DutchCommie, because the DH account originally belonged to his girlfriend and he wanted to give it back, but he made it a full year, a countup that everyone watched every day or so to see if he was going to give it up. And he made it. He made it a full year. As a shoutout, the uploader of the video changed to title to congratulate him, and an annotation in the video itself doing the same. I'm sure the vast majority of people wouldn't have been able to go on so long, or would have forgotten and missed a day, but he made it. Sadly... Because of the new youtube layout, one of the longest comment chains ever is no longer connected, so it seems he's now stopped counting. Although I think the anniversary was only yesterday, and he did comment that he was happy about being in the title now, so maybe he's going to keep going. Well, since I know JACK about what goes into filming, why is it so expensive? If they already own a video camera and the proper editing software beforehand, doesn't the expenses mostly come from the film itself? And after giving another look I see that someone IS planning a real life short film of MLD, like 20-30 minutes long. According to the trailer video StormXF3 expects it to be done in time for Christmas. Someone wrote comments about cancellation, and it directed me to that MLDmovie site I wrote about in my opening comment, but it's NOT the same group, because that guy specifically wrote and gave links to OTHER groups attempting it, (one of them being for StormXF3's trailer)so it can't be the same one. Aside from that, the trailer on the site itself it different and the video specifically says it was cancelled, while his doesn't say it anywhere. Link to the trailer here, and info is in the description. I'm still going to wait and see. I don't know how good it will be, but as a brony I have to watch it. He's done numerous green screen ponies and MLP in real life videos that are good, so he's got the animation bit down.

"If they do plan on doing something with the fan fic, it won't be pony related." What does that mean? If it's not about ponies, then it wouldn't be my little dashie. And I disagree that it's impossible to capture the feeling. I actually sat through Mic the Microphone's reading of it, and it got me to cry over it again after simply reading it stopped doing it. If the music is done right and the voices are good, that's already half the battle there. The other issue of course is animation, and how well they can integrate Rainbow Dash into real life being that throughout the entire movie she is going to simply be an effect, unless they want to go the 'living plushie' route, which would just be awful in the first place.. Really, even if it isn't the most amazing thing to happen to Bronydom since Derpy first got a name and voice, I would still watch it just to be able to see it in a movie setting.

You look on things like youtube, and you can see readings of it, and TRAILERS for it, with lists for characters or whatnot, but there doesn't seem to be one that ever follows through. There's even a website called mldmovie.com, and, guess what. The project was cancelled! I mean, come on! It's one of the most popular and well known MLP fanfics to date. How has someone NOT managed this already? There are plenty of MLP in Real Life videos out there, so this doesn't seem like it should be overly difficult in an animation sense, since RD is going to have to be totally green screened in.

Yeah. In a Rainbow/Scoots fanfic I'm writing, even after she DOES learn to fly, she still mostly sticks to her scooter, simply using her increased wing strength to aid her in her scooter riding and in doing tricks. Mostly because Rainbow encourages her to, telling her to find her own unique way to shine since she, Rainbow, is the best flier ever and she doesn't want Scootaloo to have to stand in her shadow. -
Okay, I see your point, but it still isn't going to happen. A recurring villain wouldn't work in this type of show, unless they were as pathetic at crimes as the amoeba boys. I don't know if you have ever heard of Digibrony, but he does FIM analysis and episode reviews. In one of his analysis videos he comments... I get what you're saying, but a recurring main villain is definitely not going to happen, with the exception of minor antagonists like Diamond Tiara, because at the end of the day MLP FIM is about, you know, friendship. It's about conquering doubts and fears through working together. The occassional bad guy to defeat may help show an aspect of friendship, but since you brought up Mojo Jojo, MLP is not the powerpuff girls, about an action series of beating up bad guys and sending them to pony jail. The series mostly focuses on self-contained slice of life stories, with a bit of education and lessons to be learned. So we shouldn't expect a lot of evil people. As for unreformed, we don't know if Chrysalis was truly EVIL, or if she had just gone mad from hunger and the desperation to put food on her subjects tables. Her overbearing arrogance may have come from the emotional high of finally getting a fitting meal. And do we even know if King Sombra is actually dead? He DEFINATELY has no chance of reformation. Sure, he seemed to get blown in to a bunch of pieces, but his horn got chopped off earlier and it regenerated by the time the shield came down for good.

I know that some people were upset over Sunset Shimmers defeat in the Equestria Girls movie because it was unoriginal. It didn't bother me, but whatever. So would you rather other methods be used without reverting to the basically god mode EOH? Some people see it as a cop-out. That's likely why they ended the Crystal Empire two-parter with Cadence/Shining Armor beating them when the mane 6 were unable to get to them, but then went back with Sunset Shimmer Personally I think it would make for an interesting episode to see an enemy that is either 1:Unaffected by them, or 2: Can overpower them, forcing them to find another way to beat them. Then the fact that they were used again wouldn't bother people..............except Discord fans who will call BS. (Insert theory that Discord LET himself be captured here Let it go just long enough for ponies to feel safe, then bang. He busts out when HE felt like it)

Removing One of the Mane 6?

For me it would have to be Rarity, more by process of elimination than for anything else. Pinkie is my favorite, Fluttershy is too adorable, Applejack has a very level head and works very hard, Rainbow Dash usually has the conflicting or no-nonsense approach to things that indecisive characters need, and Twilight Sparkle usually has the smarts to accomplish anything she sets her mind to. While Rarity' breakdowns are funny, if I absolutely had to choose, they're not enough to really save her.
