  1. Sounds good. I might actually like it a little better than the original track, if only because you made the vocals enjoyable to listen to. I really wasn't happy with the vocals on Tomb's track, more because of the way the lyrics flowed oddly than Rina's performance. Somehow, your version just sounds more melodic and cohesive.
  2. Fraps is one of the better ones, but it won't work on most emulated games. XSplit is one of the the best softwares for recording video footage of ANY game that plays on PC, but a couple months back it stopped being free to use. That's what my friend Cleveland and I used for all of our gameplay videos on youtube. Examples:
  3. HEY I'M... well, I'm not Grump. Not even Not So Grump. But my friend Cleveland Rock and I were doing similar videos way before JonTron and Ego jumped on the bandwagon. Check out our Kid Icarus playthrough here:

  4. Oh wow, I love that game to death, but I've never been able to beat it. Farthest I've ever gotten was past the inside of the whale. Super Mario World is VERY hard if you want to beat it completely and thoroughly. When I play it, I just beat Bowser and call it a day.
  5. *Sets Zune to shuffle, "Rock Me Like a Hurricane" plays* PERFECT!

  6. You are a gaming god, and I worship you. No, seriously. I've never managed to beat anything but the first and second dungeon in that game. I don't know how you did it. ALL? Meaning, the NES trilogy as well as the reboot trilogy? Dang. I've only ever played the NES games, and I've never managed to beat any of them. I'm actually very good at the first Ninja Gaiden game, but I've never been able to beat the final boss. Damn cheap checkpoint system. I take it you mean the PS3/360/Vita game? Yeah, that story mode gets insane difficult later on. Especially Shao Kahn. I had to look up a strategy online to be able to beat him the last few times you fought him. --- Okay, time for me to list another game I've beaten. Game: Devil May Cry (PS2) on Normal (Not Easy-Automatic) Reasoning: Do I need to give a reason why I'm proud of this? Holy crap, this game kicks so much ass, in every sense of the word. I thought I would never beat this one, but I somehow managed to after playing the game for about a week straight, leveling up Dante and figuring out the winning strategies for each boss. And STILL the game refused to go down easily! The last few bosses in the game leading up to the climax are just complete assholes, but it was so satisfying to beat them.
  7. Well, Serah's gone and walked off on her own. Came up with a kind of interesting idea for who she could meet at Sugarcube Corner, considering the mane six do not exist/are not to be mentioned. Will explore that in my next post. Also, Scootacool? Scoot-scoot-scootacooooool? Where are ya at, buddy? Been real quiet lately.
  8. “Can't stay here any longer. Need to move around.” Serah thought, shuffling her hooves uncomfortably. “Give myself a better tour than Aurora.” “Not the only one dying in here.” Serah frowned. “Bet he'd like to get out too. Not sure I'd appreciate the company, though.” Serah shrugged. “At very least, someone needs to know where I've gone.” Serah walked up to and past Numbers, face staring the opposite direction from his. “Heading out. Saw building shaped like food on way here. Gone before I get back, meet you all at Aurora's.” Serah explained succinctly. As usual, she didn't wait around for an answer, and promptly headed out the door. Finally free of the library, Serah took a deep breath; the tree had stank of must and wet wood, and the fact that it was empty prior to their arrival seemed to indicate it lacked a caretaker. The outside air smelled different, though not quite fresh. “Something burning?” Serah wondered, checking herself “Not my fault this time.” Serah head in the direction of the scent, and was mildly surprised to find that she passed hardly any other ponies on her way. Perhaps there really was a fire, or perhaps the town was always this quiet. Or maybe the fact she walked on two legs scared everyone away. Serah had very few points of reference. In the end, Serah found herself right where she had planned to go since exiting the library: a large four story building decorated to look like a variety of deserts, with a chimney spouting dark black smoke. “Don't much care for sweets. Especially burnt. But...” Serah looked to her left at a bare fruit stand, and hastily constructed 'closed' sign nailed to its front. “Not many options in this town.” Serah pushed a hoof against the door, and the door did not protest. She let herself inside.
  9. I Wanna Be the Guy is a fun little game; I've beaten it as well, on the Normal (non-default) difficulty. The majority of the game is just trial and error, but the bosses really give you a run for your money, and are undoubtedly the best part of the game. For Mega Man 2, did you beat the American or Japanese version? I ask because the American version added an "Easy" mode as its default "Normal" mode, and made the original Japanese difficulty its "Hard" mode. I've beat Super Metroid three times now. It's a really fun game, but sometimes the lack of direction really pisses me off. Specifically, everything regarding Meridia can go drown in an ocean of fire. That zone accounts for 90% of the game's difficulty, and is overall just horribly designed in comparison to the rest of the game. Never managed to beat the final dungeon in Link to the Past. Sad, considering it's my favorite game in the Zelda series.
  10. As gamers, we all have our little accomplishments that we are proud of. Here's the place to brag/respectfully state your gaming achievements. You don't have to be an amazing gamer to participate in the thread. If you've beaten I Want to Be the Guy on a single credit, you can post, and if the only game you've ever beaten is Kirby's Dreamland for the GB, you can post as well. To make the thread more interesting, you should probably list how a game was hard or rewarding for you to beat. I'll give a small example, and then leave you all too it. Game: Mega Man X4 Reasoning: Nowadays, I realize this game isn't all that hard. Especially not by other Mega Man game standards. But when I was younger, I was terrible at videogames and could barely beat any of them. Not even the easy ones! X4 was the first legitimately difficult game I owned, and it shoved my face in the playground dirt. It took me years just to beat more than a single level. And once I finally did beat the game in middle school, it opened a floodgate, and the next few years were spent diligently conquering all the games I had given up on previously. No other game trained me to be a good gamer in the same way that X4 did.
  11. Highly doubt this is anything more than a coincidence. FiM isn't completely without anime influences, specifically in regards to it's camerawork, but to say that the scene you've brought up was in any way referenced is too big of a stretch of the imagination for me to consider a possibility.
  12. There's special fanfic writing events in October as well? I've only just finished the rough draft for the story I wrote for August's National Pony Writing Month.
  13. Finally going to introduce my rm to My Little Pony. First off on the 2 hour tour, "The Last Roundup" and "Lesson Zero".

  14. Couldn't help myself. XD Now I'm off to read all the posts I missed while I was asleep. *Cracks knuckles, works out the kink in his neck* Let's do this.
  15. IMDB lists the first episode of season 3 as coming out in "October". Take that with a grain of salt, but, w/e. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1751105/episodes?season=3

  16. Mitt Romney just lost his own state. XD

  17. That turned out to not be a Hasbro employee in the first place, if I remember correctly. It was a marketer who was not actually involved with Hasbro who was touting around the idea, and it was just incorrectly accredited to the people responsible for the show. Another good example would be "Hey look a moose", which luckily did not outstay its welcome and become a meme, but instead remained a silly little in-joke for a single convention. I love Final Draft, but he really needs to stop asking people involved in pony to create memes. That's just asking for bad times. XD
  18. I'll wait until I see what Carrot Top does. If things are still moving slowly or not advancing much at that point, I'm just going to have Serah walk off somewhere to try and buy some cigarettes.
  19. http://youtu.be/TwdKASJdzkc This movie might be terrible, but it has a huge place in my childhood. This song in particular is one that will never leave me for as long as I live. It's undoubtedly the highlight of the film, and deserves to be recognized as one of the best cheesy villain songs of all time.
  20. Advice: If you think to yourself "THIS SHOULD BE A MEME", then it probably shouldn't.

0 is nothing. Therefore you are saying you're off to be nothing. Enjoy the pointless life of floating around in the void :P

Floating in the void, you say?

  21. Forced meme are rarely funny. If you and your friend find the line funny, feel free to quote it to each other endlessly. But it's best to just keep it an in-joke. A meme occurs because someone casually says or brings up something, and it snowballs from there. Trying to create that snowball effect is equal parts obnoxious and ineffective.
  22. ^ Humorous retelling of the "Spiderses" story. Not completely accurate to the fanfiction, but then again, reading the actual fanfiction would likely drive you to madness.
  23. I wrote an intentionally bad pony fic once; don't know if that counts. I am an EQD featured fanfiction author.
